Stories about the presence of God in our lives is what makes this life so interesting. I continue to believe that the irrational is more prevalent in life than the rational. How on earth could a God who loves us give us so many problems to untangle; so many wars to understand; so many challenges in our own personal lives; so many natural disasters that boggle our mind. Miracles are an every day occurence only if we see with the eyes of faith; only if we use the God-given radar that our faith allows us to comprehend.

I need help......

Perhaps someone out there will answer my cry into the wilderness. Here are some of my thoughts at this Christmas hour-- 2005

God is love. We are to love one another. We are not to kill. We must forgive those who have wronged us. These are just a few of the values I have selected from the scriptures of Jesus.

It seems to me that this terrible world that God gave us to share and enjoy with others is becoming a terrible mess. Why so much tension between Jews and Muslims, Christians and Muslims? Why so much violence and bloodshedding on a large scale every day? My sense is that if we continue in the direction we are heading then we will all be doomed. But I do want to believe the words of Jesus. I do trust in his goodness. I know that it says we should "Lean not on our own understanding". I had always thought that peace was the answer; that non violence was the path of Jesus.

Father in Heaven-- your own died on the cross for all of us. He looked to you on that last hour and said "Forgive them for they know not what they do". Must we also do the same and simply forgive at whatever the cost?

Halleluiah and Glory to you our God for Jesus whom you sent us some two thousand years ago to redeem this wonderful world.
