Stories about the presence of God in our lives is what makes this life so interesting. I continue to believe that the irrational is more prevalent in life than the rational. How on earth could a God who loves us give us so many problems to untangle; so many wars to understand; so many challenges in our own personal lives; so many natural disasters that boggle our mind. Miracles are an every day occurence only if we see with the eyes of faith; only if we use the God-given radar that our faith allows us to comprehend.

Thank you for all your prayers! I am feeling much better. I think it was brought on by all the stress...carpel tunnel surgery, living alone, no prospect of work, bills to pay....you kmow the story.

But I have survived somehow, and the Spring is coming!
Many thanks to everyone for their prayers! God bless you all!

Prayer request...can anyone relate to one health issue after another?

My faith is still alive, thank God! But sometimes one wonders why the relentless pressure? Rotator cuff surgery gone awray, then the other arm the same; followed by congestive heart failure, then a hernia they will not do surgery on..then last week a heart issue that required an ambulance and a night in the hospital, and now today surgery for carpel tunnel on the one wrist and six weeks without work..........just how much more can one take?

I think prayer is my only recourse. Please pray with me.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS.
I FEEL I HAVE PASSED THROUGH THE GATES OF HELL WITH REGARD TO MY HEALTH AND WORK SITUATION.

I HAVE CONTROLLED HEART FAILURE AS A RESULT OF MUCH WORK EATING THE RIGHT SALT,FAT AND SUGAR FREE FOODS PLUS EXERCISING MORE. I HAVE LOST OVER 60 POUNDS.

IT HAS BEEN A VERY LONELY JOURNEY. MY BOYS ARE DOING VERY WELL. ONE IS A TOP ASSISTANT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER. THE YOUNGER ONE HAS JUST WRAPPED UP HIS FIRST DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY.

I PRAY FOR YOU ALL AND YOUR NEEDS.
GOD BLESS!

CHRIS

It was wonderful to see some people on here I recognize....gosh! we are all getting older!

I no longer have daily access to a computer with internet, so periodically I will visit here again!

God is still alive for me but I know that not having the friends and influence here over the paqst year has had a negative influence on me.

Need to pray more and ponder what is next for me!

I do ask you all for your prayers both for my my health and discernment as to how I must now make a living.... my arms are not much good anymore for handyman work as they need rotator cuff surgery. The muscles have atrophied completely.....any suggestions and miracle prayers are warmly welcomed!

God love you all!

Chris

Coming back to ask for prayer

It was early October that I lasted posted anything. My health has been on a steady decline.

I have congestive heart failure now which is most surprising since I am neither a smoker or drinker. The culprit may well be salt though... but there are other factors such as stress and my surgery that did not go well on the arm.

My heart beat is over 150 per minute and the cardiologist is working with me to get that down to its normal rate of 69.

I do thank you all in advance for your prayers.

Chris

My arm still feels like it has been cut by a sword and hanging on a thread at night and in the morning. But amazingly, with strong drugs and by doing physio as required-- I am feeling so much better.

I really do want to thank everyone here at Big Church for your wonderful prayers and all the great wishes you gave me during my convalescence. I have another 4 or more months to go--- but believe me I am truly feeling so much better.

Let us give thanks to GOd our Father for his healing hand. O gracious God.. I do thank you with all my heart and continue to ask your blessing upon my left arm.

Amen

Please help me to understand this Economic Collapse of the American Empire

I need help!

When I was a in England my dear old aunt in Buffalo would send us those lovely chocolate kisses for Christmas along with small gifts from "America". Ohhh wow.. we saw it as the land of milk and honey.

While growing up in Toronto we always respected the U.S.A. as the world's leading economic power... ahhhhh and yes military power too.

I am having a very tough time understanding why the American economy is collapsing. I have always maintained that war is not good for the economy ( despite many views to the contrary) and I know the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war has contributed greatly to this situation. But come on!!! This is almost unthinkable that the U.S. economy is in a state of collapse. From what?

Are you telling me that the housing market did this? Lending money to people with no credit? COme on!

Please, someone tell me what caused this crunch.

Are you telling me it was Hurricane Katrina?

NO, sorry, not buying that one either. I think we need the FBI big time in on this job. Something is very seriously wrong.

Are there any Americans that follow the Canadian General Election?

In a few weeks we Canadians will be going to the polls... again. Personally I am no friend of the Conservative Party led by Stephen Harper. I haven't really decided where my vote is going but most certainly not to Harper.

I know a lot of people around the globe focus on the American election. I like Obama... not because I endorse his full platform but if I had to vote... I would give it to him because he seems the most capable of all...well I mean of the two.

My question... are there any Americans who know anything about our elections? Just wondering.
