Friendship and Love

Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear.

Don't cry over anyone who won't cry over you.
Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.
You can only go as far as you push.
Actions speak louder than words.
The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love somebody else.
Don't let the past hold you back; you're missing the good stuff.
Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while, you might miss it.
A best friend is like a four leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have.
If you think that the world means nothing, think again. You might mean the world to someone else.
When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there
True friendship never ends.
Friends are forever.
Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
Don't frown. You never know who is falling in love with your smile.
What do you do when the only person who can make you stop crying is the person who made you cry?
NOBODY IS PERFECT UNTIL YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM. (Isn't that the truth?)
Everything is okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.
Most people walk in and out of you life. But only True friends leave footprints in your heart.

When we look back on our younger years, we will remember the people who went to school with us, the people who made us laugh, the people who hung out with us when nobody else would, and the people who made our lives much better simply by being a part of it.

There may be somebody who is thinking about you RIGHT NOW and wishing that you were around. That's the wonderful thing about friendship-you always feel loved and cared about.

The most important thing to remember is... Always appreciate the friends that you have.

A fight may come and go very easily, but a friendship could last forever.

For every second spent in anger, a minute of happiness is wasted.

A man came out of his home to admire his new truck.

To his puzzlement, his three-year-old was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck.

The man ran to his , knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment.

When the father calmed down, he rushed his to the hospital. Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the boy's hands.

When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, " Daddy, I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going to grow back?"

The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't.

Too often we fail to recognise the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

Pause and ponder. Think before you act. Be patient. Forgive & forget. Love one and all.

There was once a boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that everytime he loses his temper, he must hammere or nail into the back of the fence. During the first day, the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.. He discovered it was easier to control his anger than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally, the day came when the boy didn'tose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy pull out one nail for each day that he was able to control his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his by the hand and took him to the fence where he had driven nails.

He said, "You have done well, my ...But look at the holes on the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. Youcan put a knife ain a man amd draw it out. It will not matter how many times you say 'sorry'. The wound is still there. A verbal wound is as bad as the physical one..."

just want to share with you this touching story which was forwarded by a friend.

ICE CREAM

Last week I took my to a restaurant. My six-year-old asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said: "God is good. God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen."

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby, I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream! Why, I never!"

Hearing this, my burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?" As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer." "Really?" my asked. "Cross my heart." Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), "Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my ice cream at the end of the meal. My stared at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and, without saying a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman that made the remark. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes, and my soul is good already."

Addendum -- 1 Peter 3:9 (NIV) "Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing."

HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE

As I was walking down life's highway a long time time ago
I came upon the sign that reads HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE
When I got a little closer the doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself, I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket and said "My , shop with care."
Everything a human needed was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry you could come back for more
First I got some Patience. Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding, you need that everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom and Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course I would need some of that too.
I couldn't miss the Holy Spirit for it was all over the place.
And then some Courage and Strength to help me run this race.
My basket was getting full and I remember that I needed some Grace.
And then I choose Salvation for Salvation was for free.
I tried to get enough of that to do for you and me.
Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I have everything to do my master's will.
As I went at the aisle I saw Prayer and I had to put it in,
For I knew when I stepped outside I would run into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelves.
Song and Praises were hanging near so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the angel "Now how much do I really owe?"
The angel smile and said "Just take them everywhere you go."
Again I asked "Really now, How much do I owe?"
"My he said "God paid your bill a long long
time ago."

RULES FROM GOD

1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord hath made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16

3. Be Silent
Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul."
Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!... To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers. "Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
Philippians 4:6

Have you ever been a banana?

When one of my friend or member of the family start saying "I should've done this", I would call her/him a banana. I tell it to them as a reminder whenever they thumped their head for not grabbing an oppurtunity that come in their way. It was "fruitless" we could do nothing about it, but mope. Regret is a bitter pill.
So I keep on telling them to do whatever they want so that when they grow old and look back they wont have any regrets that I should have done this and that!
So better eat your banana and dont behave like one...
Live your life to the fullest!!!
