The Collapse Of The Emerging Church And The Kingdom Of God This is a flash traffic email I just got from Roger Oakland. Comment From Understand The Times: Expect to see another new wave of deception on the spiritual horizon. A concealed iceberg is about to surface. In the upcoming campaign for a new American president, a coalition of pastors heading up social gospel megachurches, Dominionist Pentecostals, Reconstructionists, and naive Evangelicals will surface planning to take the "kingdom" for Jesus. These enthusiastic leaders lack spiritual discernment and have no concept of the nearness of the coming of Jesus Christ. They are being drawn into the idea of building the "Kingdom of God" so that Christ can return to a converted earth at some future time. Similar to Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven" Christianity, the social gospel will be in the forefront for this new alliance of kingdom builders. Those opposing such a view will be considered "narrow- minded," "old- fashioned," "crackpots" who spend more time thinking about the "rapture" than they do about doing good unto others. Also, I believe we can expect to see the emerging church movement fragmenting and polarizing. A few leaders who have been duped by emergent leaders will see the light and withdraw- others of course, will not. Those who continue down the emerging path will become the pied-pipers of the social gospel program that leads the unsuspecting further towards Rome and Babylon. Born Again Christians only need to chew, It's those left behind that have to swallow it. |

Thanks for this post Icetea It is sad to see where the emerging church is headed, and even sadder to see the followers do so blinded!!! When you really look into it , it isnt hard to see the deceptions, we need to be watchful and wise,'taking everything we hear from the pulpit back to the word of God, to much is being swayed and becoming false.... Last year I was in a church who had a visiting speaker. He preached for about 45 minutes without a single bible reference, half of his preaching was broken into prophetic words, the he proceeded to say that the age of the church was dead. Now we are entering into the age of the kingdom, and we need to embrace this ,as if we don't we will miss the next move of God!!!! I was very dissapointed as I looked around the room and saw people everwhere embrace this false teaching... We need to be so careful!!!!!! Especially in church!!! Thanks Bro' Netty Lying in bed would be a truely supreme experience if only I had a coloured pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling

Boy i've been in the dark ages along time. I thank God he prodded me to join Big Church. I have felt for a long time that some of the big Churches were doing an excellent job of slightly decieving the people and playing God. I have been wondering how long it was going to take for people to wake up. I'm glad to see there are alot more people watching as the "elect" of the church is becoming decieved and decieving there flocks. I perfer to say that I am a beliver in Jesus, rather then a Christian becuase the word Christian has become so political. Don't believe everything you think, God is not a cookie cutter God! Laughing at yourself is better then laughing at someone else.

Beloved T, As I was coming back here to see your response to my comment...I felt the Holy Spirit was reminding me of this scripture below. We have taken the message of the true gospel to the people and many have not received it. Jesus told us what to do!!! Matthew 10:14 - And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. ( house as in church or congregation ) Mark 6:11 - And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Luke 9:5 - And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. Luke 10:11 - Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. They thought us nuts or crazy....and they will see when the judgements come. With Great Love & Blessings, Hiz4Ever † Vincit Veritas~Truth Conquers

Dear Eric, excellent post my brother. It is so easy to fall away and let the darkness overtake us.We must be watchful. Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. Second Timothy 4 verses 2-5 Joy and blessings, Lisa
