Fathers and sons fishing

Interesting to me how strong of a bond you create doing something as simple as going fishing. My whole life I never connected with my father except in one way.

We have always gone fishing together. Now we are avid fly fishermen and it upsets me a bit that I have not had enough time with my two boys to teach them how to fly fish. They live a long away from me. So I have to settle for the quick trips and a hookline and sinker loaded with a blood worm. Someday I will be able to teach them how to fly fish .

Ever see the movie "A river runs through it"? That was a great example of how powerful a this sport really is when passed down from one generation to the next. Incidentally, Norman Mclain, the author of the book, fly fishes some of the same rivers I do. Got a chance to meet him and rough up some trout on a couple of occasions

Anyway this pic is of me and my father at the
Yellowstone river fly fishing.

And the other pics of me and my boys are added as comments.

Pretty cool, T. Those are awesome pictures! That is defintely something that bonds guys together. Of course, some of us women do fish on occasion. When the time comes that you are able to teach your boys the art of fly fishing, I'm sure it will be a moment they will remember forever. Blessings!

God's blessings always,
