A retreat... a time to listen!!! DO you have a special place to retreat to for a time of rest, prayer, and listening??? I'll be taking off in the morning for a few days to NC... to the mountains for a time of being still and listening... I plan on a walk to the top of a mountain somewhere just for the peace and tranquility of God's creation... DO you pray alot in your life??? Where is it that you pray??? Sometimes I believe that God asks us to take a break and go to a more sanctified area to worship Him!!! As I pray on the go many times a day when in transit... God truely hears me... however... with all the distractions of the world infront of us like oncoming traffic and pedestrians... school buses and emergency vehicles... praying can be tough to focus... I find that retreating into nature is a place of recharging and direction with God!!! A place to really fill our cups to the brim so we can serve Him better!!! There's a song on my mind sometime's when I go in to a time of teaching and listening... and it goes like this... Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true... with thanksgiving, I'll be a living, santuary, for YOU!!! I do hope that you all get a chance to identify where God calls you too to be closest to Him!!! And why not try those words to that song before you start a time of meditation??? As we are made for the pleasure of God... I can only believe that spending one on one time with Him pleases Him!!! May you bring pleasure to our Lord Jesus!!! "Be still and know that I am God!!!!"ps46:10 Let the shine!!! michael |

Come let's go up to the mountain Come let's Go up to the Lord Come let's go up to the mountain He will teach us His ways This is the chorus to one of my favorite songs. Oh and how many blessed hours I have spent in the presence of the Lord in the mountains. Up to a few years ago I had a group of friends and we went up to the mountains every Saturday to pray and we also undertook hiking trips, we called it pilgrim walks, up in the mountains where we split up and everyone went their own way during the day and joined up at camp at night. It resulted in blessed and awesome times with the Lord. May you come down that mountain with renewed strength and purification Michael. Have a blessed trip. Hi there, just had to pop in to say hi.

So glad to hear you are enjoying getting closer with THEE. I was reminded after reding this of an old familiar hymn I love SO MUCH. JUST A CLOSER WALK WITH THEE GRANT IT JESUS IS MY PLEA DAILY WALKING CLOSE TO THEE LET IT BE DEAR LORD, LET IT BE You are so Blessed to have this chance to get away and be near him. I FEEL as though the Amaus Walk really spoke to your heart and brought you ever closer to HIM and now you are wanting MORE and MORE of him. What an AWESOME FEELING, Michael. You still could have come down here and went to the beach to be near him also??? Just kidding, I KNOW ALL about those school buses, darn them anyway!!!! May the Peace and Joy of the Lord FILL YOUR HEART.

Thankyou Michael for inspiring all of us! Truly awesome, you are so right on, God wants to talk with us, WITH us, and we are so busy to and fro its hard to slow down physically, and mentally to hear his voice to be the men, and woman of God he wants us to be. How can we serve him, and be obediant? We need to build our altar, and sometimes our altar is at the top of that mountain. Thankyou So much for being obediant to what the Lord has put on your heart to share with his children! Your sis, Sharon!
