~The QUIET before the STORM...!.!.!...~

Do you know your living a blessed life...
Yet your heart is sometimes empty with strife...

Things are so quite like the calm of the sea...
Perhaps the storm is coming so God prepare me...

Digging deep and long in His word...
Some people think were absurd...

Though the lessons learned and gained from Him...
Will anchor our life in obedience... amen...

Let the shine!!!

I live in a tropical place where monsoon rains is a common phenomenon. Living near the beach, and being a diver myself, I have been quiet familiar with seasons and waves. Its not only quiet before a storm, but after each storm, it is even more quiet and calm on the shoreline. Something about storm aftermaths is always so refreshing, so peaceful and so calm. There are dewdrops everywhere, trees and plants have been watered, the sea is cleansed, and not only that.......if you stay long enough to observe nature, He sends the rainbow too, to paint the clouds. The reason why I look forward to storms.....is I always stay long enough to watch out for a rainbow....

Sandra

When I was a kid was used to be scared of storms, the thunder, the lightening, but as I grew up I began to see the beauty in them. Their strength, the force that they show blows out the dead and broken branches from trees, the rain soaks the ground down past the roots to bring a refreshing drink, the lightening shoots across the sky in bright brilliance, illuminating everything it its path. I have begun to see storms in my life the same way. They break down the broken, dead and weak areas of my life, forcing them out so strong ones are able to grow to replace them. I'm able to have the healing rain completely soak me and refresh my life, that I probably wouldn't have had the time for otherwise. And the lightening, yep the lightening, it illuminates all those areas in my life that I want to hide,...the ones that I think I can handle/fix on my own, my stubborn spirit that doesn't want to let go of something. I don't fear storms anymore, I suppose as strange as it sounds, I have almost begun to welcome them, because I know the sun that shines after a storm is the brightest, warmest sun ever.

Bring the Rain
- Mercy Me

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray

Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty

God's blessings always,
Karen

God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.

Time to say goodbye

See I totally understand that. The quiet before the storm.

However, it is the reward of the quiet AFTER the storm what I find even more blessed!

I think it's more important the quiet and peace AFTER the storm. To know that I rode it out and survived it even stronger in faith and even more full of blessings that I prefer so much more.

I had mentioned somewhere in this Blogland a response to someone's post along the way the beauty of things after the storm. The calm, serene, warm, still like bath water of the ocean after a hurricane that is more poetic and screams over and over again God's promise.

The rainbow after a storm, same thing - God's promise.

Always reminders of God's presence. It's truly beautiful to me.

Silver lining!!

ALWAYS BLESSINGS, NEVER LOSSES!!!
The deeper the faith - the harder the trials or storm!!

Just know and never forget that HE never leaves your side. But I know that you know this!!

* Sin is sin. Careful what comes across your lips & out your finger tips!!!
* We are all the Body of Christ. Let's treat each other as such, with the same respect we give to HIM!!
* Relationship advice: DO NOT make someone a PRIORITY, when they ONLY make you an OPTION!!
* A woman's heart should be so lost in God, that a man has to seek HIM in order to find her!!

If they do.....I will buy it!!! But I think for it to really work and be guaranteed, it's got to come from a more reverent place!! Right?
