Happy Feet

Remember Mumble the penquin (Happy Feet)? His dad told him to stop doing that thing with his feet. He told his dad I can't, my feet are happy. I'm like Mumble, I have happy feet.
I love to dance! I learned to dance standing on top of my daddy's feet. I think maybe I was born dancing. I was born with happy feet. I learned to charleston when I was only six years old.
When I was younger, working in and 'hanging out' in the bars nightclubs were my favorite. I loved country music! I could dance all night long! And did. I knew all the dances, the two step, polka, cotton eye joe, all the latest line dances, but my favorite was the waltz. Spinning and turning around the dance floor with my head throwed back, laughing with joy. It was exhilarating! But I was dancing for the wrong one, the wrong reason.

Then one day Jesus whispered my name. I answered His call and He came to live in my heart. Did I stop dancing? No, I didn't stop dancing, I just changed dance floors. At any given time you might find me dancing in the aisles of my church. I am a worshiper! I worship with everything that is within me. I often liken myself to Mary Magdalene, oh I love the way she worshiped Jesus. She didn't care what she looked like, she didn't care what people thought, she just knew she had to worship her Beloved. Those who are forgiven much, love much. He is my Beloved! He is the reason I live! If it hadn't been for His hand on me, I would have been dead long ago. And because of that He brings me joy! He makes me happy, He gives me happy feet.

The reason for this blog is I read something that hurt my heart. Maryann (Timeless Whispers) wrote a blog...Shall we dance and someone replied that he was sad and didn't feel like dancing and was marveled that anyone would feel like dancing today. He is right, we are living in perilous times. But do we give in to the gloom and doom or we do we look at the One who is bigger than all this? The Word of God tells us when we see these things start to come to pass we are to rejoice. "Rejoice, lift up your head, for your redemption draws nigh." Hey my brothers and sisters we're fixing to go home! Doesn't that thought make you happy? Doesn't that thought give you happy feet?

He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Be of good cheer! Sing and dance with joy! It's almost over and we've already won.
Get ya' some happy feet!

Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!

Hi backatcha'
There is nothing that can bring me into worship more than music and it always starts with my feet.
Yes, I, too have noticed the parallels between us. Truly sisters in Christ, huh?
