I'm Back

Hi All,

After a long absence I'm back on Big Church and back to blog again.

Just to warm up our brains (just my excuse to actually pick your brains), I pose a question which may sound simple on the surface but has some major application impacts, so here goes...

Every decision we make has three basic parts...a motive, an action and a consequence. Which of these parts do you think is most important when making a decision.

Look forward to your responses.

Natman

My thought is that it would be the motive, one could always think of the consequences... but they might not be the same... but hmmmm how ya go about something - or the action, can be pretty important too!! Now my brainsa whirring!!
Hugs,
Sue

Definately the motive...beyond that works like dominoes.
I've done some dumb things with good intentions, but I think that's easier to work out than a person who does or says great things with self-rightous intentions.

Thank you for your views...I thought the motive was the most important until I was comfronted with this issue.

The motive is to relieve someone of extreme pain which is a good motive but the action would result in their life being terminated which in itself is wrong...using this example the action is more important than the motive...what do people think?
