What set Him so far apart was the fact that power of the Holy Spirit backed up His every word and deed. So often we are content with"Wise and persuasive words",were as paul said,"I did not come to you with wise and persuasive words,but with a demonstration of the spirits power" Who are people most likely to listen to;the person who talks eloquently about God.Or,the person speaks simply, but ministers to them by the anointing of the Holy Spirit ? Our real problem is that we desire to be anointed,but then realize there is a price to be payed,so we try to just get by on,"wise words". Joyce Myers said,"So many people what the thing you have without paying the price you paid to get them" Thanks for the post Hiz4ever GBY stevie "This is the year of the favor of our God" "Your time has come to shine. So many people try to minister in their own flesh. They must wait for the annointing of the Holy Spirit, and then they can minister in power, with accuracy, and the grace that comes from the LORD. They will not feel the strain or the drain. It is awesome. The LORD showed me this long ago: "To this were you called, because Christ suffered for you , leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps." "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth." "When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him Who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree so We might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you HAVE been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls." IPeter 2v21-25 NIV* Joyce and I have walked a similiar pathway.
