How Does Forgiveness Work?

God doesn't forgive the sin,
He forgives the sinner, and then
HE separates the sin from the person.

People are trying to forgive the
act, not the sinner.

Unforgiveness is a poison we drink,
hoping the person who hurt us will
get sick. We know it doesn't hurt
the other person, they can't be affected
by what we drink. Toxic shock will set
in, and we will die a very slow
painful death.

Michael Hinson, shared this today on
a Christian show. It is powerful, and
I felt it warranted sharing.

The LORD gives the example of how to
forgive the sinner. "Father, forgive
them for they know not what they do."
LUKE 23v34 KJV*

"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us."

Father, help us to forgive; teach to forgive;
show us who to forgive; in Jesus/Yeshua's name.
AMEN.

With Great Love,

Hiz4ever,

It was my sins that put Jesus on the whipping post, 39 lashes he took for me, but not just 39 lashes. The weapon of choice for the Romans in those days was a cat of nine tails, a handle with nine leather straps coming from it and with a barb woven into the tips of the leather so as to catch and rip the skin. that is 39 lashes with 9 straps for a total of 351 total lashes...for my sins.
Then He forgave me of my sins, and when He asked the Father to forgive them for they know not what they do, He showed us by example of what the next step is when we forgive someone. We are to forgive them and ask God not to hold it against them either.
What a wonderful savior and friend we have in Jesus.

God Bless You
Mike

Beloved Commenters,

Thank you for reading. I am
glad that we have the opportunity
to forgive. Unforgiveness is a
burden we aren't meant to carry.

Thank You Saviour, Jesus/Yeshua,
that we can cast this care upon
You and be free of this weight
of sin.AMEN.

With Great Love,

Thank you. Yes, we are to forgive as Jesus forgives.

"God doesn't forgive the sin,
He forgives the sinner, and then
HE separates the sin from the person."

Amen!

actually he has a nice concept but he is wrong because the word says he forgave the sin of the world. It is all forgiven, past present and future from the moment Jesus was ressurected. To receive it you have to believe it.

Mans concepts are much different and applied much differently than God's

The liberating Power is in the forgiveness itself. The reason God forgave us was to bring fellowship between He and us.

His concept and writing is noble but it is not really sound.
