YUMO.....5 Min Chocolate mug Cake

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
From the kitchen of Mary McNeill

4 tablespoons cake flour(that is plain flour, not self-raising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips(optional) a small splash of vanilla essence
1 coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.

Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla essence, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

OH MY, OH MY, OH MY, OH MY, OH MY!!!!!!!!

Wait until I make this for my kids!!! They are going to love it!!

Betty Crocker, I am not. (well not anymore that is) I think they are going to flip out over this one!!

Thanks, I will make it for them tomorrow.

Although my 13 year old almost burnt down my house making rice-a-roni last month. I had my house all open to air out that burning smell until 4am. Smoke filled my entire kitchen from ceiling to floor and the hardwired smoke detector didn't even go off!!!

I still worry at night why that didn't go off, we would have never gotten out in time if we were all sleeping and unaware. Frightens me but when getting it checked out, it tested fine.

I wonder if it's such a good idea to show him this little trick?? But chocolate cake in 5 minutes is just too good to not try.

Tell me, am I going to have a mess to clean up? Does it boil all over and make a mess?

*******

When I started selling Pampered Chef years and years ago, I got one of those stoneware bundt pans and used to make the best carrot cake that everyone ranted and raved over in the microwave. Stoneware rocks and I am a better cook for it.

Just that when I had to go back to work full time and then never got home before 9:30p at times my Suzy Homemaker role felt like it got thrown out the window.

I do miss those carefree housewifey days of just tending to the kids and home and every solitary thing else. But even with doing everything around here, I still felt like I could do it all. The 3rd child and going back to work did me in. But being on full-time 24 hour duty with 3 kids running in 5 different directions stretched me tooooo thin timewise.

THANKS for this recipe - got anymore neat ones like this??

Beloved Marilyn,

Blackberry jam had to be good.

I would worry about using the self-rising flour!.
Might bring about a volcanic action

Cool whip & Ice cream sales just went up
with this recipe ! ! !

My thought when I first saw this
recipe:

It would make a great little gift
to take to a neighbor, shut-in,
a hospital patient, co-worker,
or special teacher from your child.

Add a pretty mug & ribbons.....
Most of all INCLUDE the recipe.
