Gasoline Savings Tip

Driving 50 mph instead of 70,

really does make a HUGE

difference in the mileage my car

gets.

Give it a try and see if it

doesn't work for you, too.

My car has a tachomoter and I

watch it and try to keep my

acceleration under 2000 rpm's.

I think this is helping as well.

.

I made several trips into the city

and used the same amount of gasoline

as I used to on just one trip. I

run my A/C almost all year, so I know

I would have been running it before

I made the speed adjustments.

.
I just play my worship CD and relax

and watch others speed past me. As

they go by, I say, "if you want to

pay for my gas, I'll drive 70, too!"

.

Save yourself some bucks and drive slower.

My car registers my immediate and average MPG, and I can verify that you are accurate.

You'll not only get better GAS mileage, but you will get better HEART mileage as well.

Greetings,
Here are some other things to consider, to extend your mileage.

Coast as much as possible. If you are use to keeping your foot on the gas, all the way to a stop sign, try accelerating to a speed, that will allow you to take your foot off the gas well prior to the stop, and coast to the stop. The amount of time you can keep your engine at idle rpm, saves....

Now to the pump. When filling your tank, don't assume all the gas has come out of the hose. I often will stop the pump myself at a predetermined amount. After I have caused the unit to shut down, either by turning the lever that releases the hose, or by, pushing in the lever where the hose comes from, I open the hose again, with the pump unit off, and drain ever drop out of the hose, since I already payed for it. A hose could hold up to a gallon of fuel in the line, and this is after the meter.

No King but CHRIST JESUS!!!

Janice, fuel is high every where, in Sydney the prices are very high and expected to go higher before the end of the year. I drive a gas car, it is a taxi, the price is only half that od fuel. Yes, we have problems worldwide now.

Gods way is my way,...Clay

Beloved Gary,

AMEN ! You are right!

I feel lots less stressed driving
slower? Go figure?!?!?

It may have something to do with
the fact of not having to punch
a time clock, as well.

Nice to have you comment on my blog.
Welcome to BC, Brother.

Beloved FreeWayRyder,

Guess we will have to contact
the White House and Congress
to pass legislation to reduce
the speed back down to 55mph.

My daughter, from Arizona, said she
had a close call with a semi in Cali.
She was visiting there and nearly got
hit by wild traffic. She had her 3 girls
in the car with her. Thank the LORD for
His protection.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog.
Welcome to BC, Sister.

Beloved Sister,

What a great new photo. You look awesome.
What have you done with yourself? Keep it up!

I am trying all sorts of saving tricks.
I do laundry and run the dishwasher after
midnight. This is not PEAK cost hours.

I ordered the Sunday paper delivered. It is
only a few cents cheaper in price, but I save
all that gas to go downtown to get one.

I try pre-shopping ahead online, and with ads.
Then I map out my route to avoid backtracking
as much as possible. When I have to go to the
city, I try to make several appointments for
the same day as my shopping. It wears me out,
but less trips into town saves me dollars.

Thanks for reading and commenting on my post.

Beloved Brother,

I use my cruise control as much as
possible. I imagine the steady speed
is better than a foot feathering the
gas pedal up and down.

At traffic lights I will shift to neutral.
Not sure if that saves gas or not. Maybe
someone reading this will know?

Beloved Clay,

Does your company pay for your fuel,
or do you have to cover the cost?

It seems that the things "man has created",
are suddenly his greatest demise.

The LORD tells us what to do:

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The LORD has given us His answer to the way out
of our corrupt condition. We need merely OBEY.

The LORD's richest blessings on you,

Beloved Sister,

True, fuel the world over is a luxury,
but a necessity in this time and age.

With so many products derived from oil,
this will affect the cost of a huge amount
of goods and services.

Unfortunately, we have created a very plastic
world that relies on petro for production,
not just transportation.
