"Today I was robbed...

...and I thank God. First, I thank him that the thief took my wallet and not my life. Secondly, I thank God that even though the thief took all I had, I didn't have much to take. Thirdly, I thank God that I was the one robbed and not doing the robbing."

-from Matthew Henry's diary.

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - part of Jim Elliot's October 28, 1949 journal entry

One life will soon be passed, only what's done for Christ will last!

Oh my goodness, you had me scared for a moment.

Now, I have to thank God that it wasn't really you.

Yes, I tend to live that way as well, because even through those times I don't understand, I seem closest to God and it ends up becoming another step deeping my relationship and soul IN HIM.

I am grateful for the storms because the RAINBOW is always HIS reward and ALWAYS worth it.

Ahhhhhhhhh, beautiful! I'd live no other way!

Thanks Jim, I love when you share this way!

Peace,
Ginny

p.s. Eventually I will tell you what I disagree with. Does it really matter anyway?

* Sin is sin. Careful what comes across your lips & out your finger tips!!!
* We are all the Body of Christ. Let's treat each other as such, with the same respect we give to HIM!!
* Relationship advice: DO NOT make someone a PRIORITY, when they ONLY make you an OPTION!!
* A woman's heart should be so lost in God, that a man has to seek HIM in order to find her!!

Hey, Jim, this is a lovely way to turn something negative into a positive!! And it reminds me of a friend of mine who used to live in Philadelphia.....he was an attorney and often walking down the street late at night going to his car after putting in a very long day, he'd get held up.....handing over his wallet each time. So one day he got wise and began carrying two wallets. One worn out looking thing that he kept two dollars in and a bunch of junk, fake photos, etc. in his pants pocket and his real wallet in the inside of his suit jacket. Well....I thought he was clever!! He said, they'd run first after getting the wallet without actually looking in it.

Oh man Jim!! I was like Jersey girl and thinking it was you!!

After what you had been through I was thinking okay Lord how much more?

It is a great reminder to not focus on the bad but focus on the good!

Good to see ya back!
