WOW, close call, but God delivered again!!!!

We had been on the snow and ice covered roads for a little over two hours. I was a safe distance behind my when an 18-wheeler changed lanes onto his car. The impact spun his car around and ripped off the front end of the car. His car came to a stop side ways, in the middle of the southbound land of I-57. How all those cars managed to stop without hitting him broadside is simply a miracle of God!

God protected Trent and he escaped with absolutely no injuries...I just have to praise the Lord! Gonna have to go back tomorrow or Thursday and haul the car home...but for now, I have to praise God for His amazing protection!!!

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - part of Jim Elliot's October 28, 1949 journal entry

One life will soon be passed, only what's done for Christ will last!

Praise the Lord! I was thinking about you all today since I wasn't sure when you were heading home and we got hit with all this snow starting yesterday. It's great to know He answers our prayers before we even ask for them. Traveling mercies and blessings!

God's blessings always,
Karen

God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.

Oh, thank You Jesus! Oh, Jim! This verse immediately came to mind:

God only knows the times my life was threatened just today.
A reckless car ran out of gas before it ran my way.
Near misses all around me, accidents unknown,
Though I never see with human eyes the hands that lead me home.
But I know they’re all around me all day and through the night.
When the enemy is closing in, I know sometimes they fight
To keep my fight from falling, I’ll never turn away.
If you’re asking what’s protecting me then you’re gonna hear me say:

(From Amy Grant's "Angels," but I'm sure you recognize the words!)

AMEN and AMEN!!

GBY!
Cathy

Thank you Lord! Jim, many of my friends are not Christians and when they have close calls they go out and buy a lottery ticket. Isn't that sad, when what they should be doing is thanking God for protecting them. I'm so glad your son is ok.

That really is sad, Pen. There's no luck involved - it's the mighty hand of God.

I am so glad that you son is ok. Must have been horrifying to watch. Praise the Lord that HE was holding Trent in his arms protecting him!!!
