Which 5 would you invite to a private dinner ?

Other than Jesus.....which 4 of the ones below would you invite ?

I'm thinking you can vote for 4 by holding down the 'Shift' key.
----If not, just do a post and name them, but vote for your #1 invitee in the poll also.
Moses
Paul
Abraham
Adam
Eve
Mary
David
Mary Magdalene
Peter
John

Doesn't work to hold down the shift key. Moses. Paul, John and David.

James should have been on here.
I vote James and Moses Abraham and Paul

So much to learn from them all:
Moses, can teach me obedience and perseverence
Abraham, teach me about devotion and trust
Adam, Teach me about purity; after all there was a time when he walked with God.
Eve, Open my eyes to paridise, what can I expect?
Mary, teach me to deal with my pride
David, teach me to worship so that God turns His face towards me
Mary Magdalene, teach me to deal with my guilt and rise above it
Peter, Preach to me Brother
John, teach me to seek the Truth and then live it until I die

But Paul, Paul's life is not my pattern that belongs to Jesus. But he is my example. He was a true disciple of Christ from his conversion to the end. To dine with Paul would be a feast indeed.

Well I have to say that I wouldn't invite all of them because dinner isn't enough time to spend with that many people, so I would choose PAUL. How awesome it would be to hear about his experiences, and learn so much from him, I would ask him to stay at least for a couple of weeks!

We shall know them by their FRUIT, no matter what they profess...

Why Mary Magdalene ?

Is it because she was first to see the risen Lord.

Or...because you want to know if she and Jesus were married ?

Or.......what else ?

I'm enjoying everyone's comments !

Maybe if we committed to a sizable love offering they would consider being a special guest speaker...

I wish Nicodemus had been on here, but you can't put everybody!
For my single I chose John because he knew Jesus while He was on earth, saw the incredible revelations, was centered on who God is, had a reasonable grasp of Christ's divinity and eternity...
For the group I'd choose: John and Moses. Then Adam and Eve because I have a lot to ask them, plus they lived a long time and knew a lot of people; they could tell me about THOSE people, as well as themselves.

John's a great choice....beloved of Jesus....took care of Mary, so probably knew more about Jesus again. The apostle of love....lived a long life, the only one of the 12 to do so. Was at the foot of the cross, the only apostle to be there.
A very special man, honoroed by Jesus in several ways.

Hmmmmm...who am I gonna pick ?

Moses,Adam,Mary,John and Abraham
I chose Moses because of the tablets he wrote.
Adam because he was the first man because he has a lot of questions that I would like ans. to.
Mary because she was the mother of Jesus.
John because he knew Jesus while on earth.
Abraham for his knowledge and role.
But in all actuality would or could this happen (SMILE)
Only God could answer that.
God Bless.
In His Strength,

John, Paul, Moses, Eve, David. Probably in that order, many others would be welcome too.

One of the good things about eternity is that eventually we will be able to get around to chatting with each of them

Regards

Well, I voted for John as my #1 because he was the closest to the Lord of anybody, and therefore would know more things about Him (having taken care of Mary during her latter years).

My 2nd choice would be Paul, for he went to the world with his message, not just the Jews, and he lived one heck of an exciting life. He was a genius at reaching others, and in diplomatic, intellectual, and persuasive ways. And what bravery ! Truly phenomenal man.

3rd would be Peter. My life has been somewhat like him from the standpoint of barging ahead when I should have thought more first, but what a guy and leader of men !

4th would be Mary, the first to give herself totally to God and His will in her life. An amazing young lady...and woman, who could tell us things that no one else could.

....as aloveableguy said, we'll get to talk to them all, listen, learn, and maybe even see all we want to in eternity. (it's all recorded, doncha know....)

Definitely Mary Magadelene, I think we'd have a lot in common as I've sinned in very much the same way! And the lord forgave her too.

Here today, but by the grace of god, thankyou Lord and god bless you all. xxxxx
