Australia Day..
You know your are growing up when you are at separate functions for the day!
My was saluting the mayor in his historic uniform and I was at another function ..
It was an absolutely glorious day in an absolutely glorious setting, our local botanical gardens, dappled sun thru beautiful trees..
The thing I love about our country is our so called "stars" , they are totally accessible!
I caught up with one who I hadn't spoken to for 40yrs!
Our stars are just that, "our stars" .. they are like family, part of us..
We are all immigrants in this country..
I'm a first generation on my Dads side and second on my Mum's side..
A lot of who came here as migrants, have gone on to become famous..
After all the awards there was a concert in the park, I met up with other people and we bopped away in our seats, the stole the show, up the front dancing their lil hearts out!
