I'm Baa .. aack!

Hey guys, how are you all doing? ... I've had a well earned break! (school hols ) What a difference it makes to have a break! Sunday, my boy and I watched HEIDI, it was filmed in 68, we both enjoyed it, thank you Lord I have a who will watch movies with me! ............................................................ Monday, we drove to stay overnight in Geelong. We went to take part in a homeshool event. We drove down to the wharf to see the Doulos, missionary ship and we were able to go on board! Our first time on a ship, I had to pray, because I have never fancied going up the gangplank! It was as I thought, very high, quite wobbly and I was glad to set foot on board, at the top! Did not make a dignified entrance, as I tripped at the top and nearly collided with people ... lost my footing on a small step down, oops. We had to be security scanned before we went on board, my thought it was very exciting! We went and got some dinner and went back to our room............................................................. Yesterday we went to meet up with other homeschoolers and our teacher. We waited and waited, til finally I went and asked if anyone knew where she was and what was happening. She was onboard waiting for us! We went in and there were people from different countries and it was a childrens ministry, encouraging to become part of the ship experience, when they are older! Which is fantastic, it gives them something to aim for. They travel all over the world and have planted 66 schools in India and want to plant 100! People have volunteered to be on board for 2 years............................................................ After that was finished, I had to send my to put more money in the parking machine, I watched from the deck and saw the captain and prayed God would let my come back on without waiting for the queue. My also saw the captain and went and said, " Excuse me sir, are you the captain ? " He explained how he had to go and put money in the meter and asked if the captain would get him back on board without waiting etc. The captain said sure, and I watched as he came along with my , at that point I didnt know of what had happened, I'd just prayed and hoped! As they came up the gangplank I took a photo. The captain said, take another of us together and then I got another on deck! What a lovely christian man! He was the harbour master at Perth and had been travelling on the Doulos with his wife and . It is so nice to be in the company of real fellow christians, it is like another world, every one is full of the Lord and knows what you are talking about, truly a Holy Spirit led ship, amen! ........................................................... Our teacher, who also talked to the and told how, when she was a , she had lived in Papua New Guinea and the Doulos had visited. She had said in her heart, she would travel on the Doulos one day. But she said God had other plans... She went to uni and became a teacher, THEN she got to go on the Doulos for two years as a teacher, teaching the ships etc. She was so lovely, she said she had been trying to contact me all week and it was like we had known each other forever ... Have you noticed that, with real christians there is a real familiar, family feel to them? They are NOT strangers, as soon as you meet, you accept them as part of you, it is a wonderful thing! Praise God! After that, we had a guided tour of the ship, I didnt like it under decks, very musty and claustrophobic. My thought it was wonderful, he got to see the engine room etc, I waited on deck for him........................................................... It is a 94 yr old ship, historically significant, in that it is the oldest passenger ship in the world, and she is a sad old lady, and is being decommissioned after this final Australian tour ............................................................ It rained heavily and constantly on the trip up to Geelong, I prayed and asked God to bless us with great weather yesterday and He did! When it was all over, we hugged and thanked our teacher, who was flying back to QLD later that day...... Only downside was, when I got back to my car, some lovely person had damaged my front right guard with their door. A large commercial size van had been parked next to me, but they left without saying anything. I was upset about it, the mark was quite big and very noticeable ....... BUT I prayed and asked God to bless me, that it would be superficial. So this morning I went to see a panel beater friend and he got some polish and a cloth and voila, BIG mark gone! You can just see a hint of a dint, but not noticeable to any but me! So thank you Lord, amen! You are so good to me, praise Your Holy Name, amen! ...........................................................AND NOW ... I am having a couple of hours break, 10am - 3pm, my boy is at a holiday program, mini golf etc and I get the first break I've had since last school hols! My with the captain ....
