WHY ALL THE QUESTIONS???

Does the Bible state the difference between good and evil? In the poll almost everyone believes it does. One example that it does is in Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil. There are more.

The word set before us good and evil, but it gives us other terms that are associated with each. For example: Good is associated with God, light, life, salvation, righteousness, truth &t ; and evil is associated with the devil, darkness, death, condemnation, wickedness falsehood and so forth. Only a couple of people answered this poll, but there was agreement that there are terms that relate to good and evil and some very good examples.

Lots of people said that rightly dividing the word means to study the scriptures and discover what God's will is that leads to righteousness; also that it is led by the Holy Spirit.
Not only are we told to rightly divide the word, but over and over again we are told to refuse the evil and choose only the good. The following are only a few of the many examples: Psa 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Psa 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
Amo 5:14 Seek good, and not evil; Rom 16:19 but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil; 1Pe 3:11 Let him put away evil, and hold fast to good; let him seek peace, and ensue it; Eph 4:28 Do not make room for the devil. Ephesians 4:25 do not make room for the devil, 29 let no evil talk come out of your mouth.

Did Jesus come to destroy every work of the devil? The poll was divided on this one, but, 1 John 3:8 says He did.
Rom 13:1 tells us there is no power but of God; Eph 1:10 says that in the fullness of time he will gather together in one all things which are in heaven, and which are on earth; Eph 1:21 He is far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

Does God judge all people with equity? 2 out of 3 people said yes, - Psa 98:9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity. Eze 18:25, 29, 33:17 all tell us that God does judge us equally, and that it is man's ways which are unequal. The Bible also reminds us that Rom 3:10 There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom 3:23 says all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all.

Can people who do not seek after righteousness still attain it? Again mixed opinions in the poll, but this is what the Word says...,
Isa 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

Is God's love unconditional? Every vote said yes, Romans 8:38-39 says, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His love passes all knowledge, Jesus died for us while we were yet sinners, God's love is unfailing, abounding, enduring forever, has a measure of fullness, is complete, He will never leave or forsake us.

These are the things I believe and why I do not give the devil any victory and why I am being called a bad person for turning away from evil.

I am choosing to imitate Christ.

So, now I ask one last question:

If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?

Love Always,

Anita

That was the question that Jesus asked the Pharisees when they confronted Him about all the miracles He performed by rebuking and casting out Satan and never once failed. They accused Him of being of the devil to be able to overcome in such a way.
