What is church without love?

I don't agree with several things where I go to church.
There are too many committees.
The music minister gets too perfectionistic at times.
The older generation---I'm talking 70-on-up---doesn't always have their preferences taken into account in worship service.
There's no Sunday evening service.
The worship minister doesn't like my style on the piano, so I'm not allowed on worship team.
A year or two ago, these things would've been deal-breakers. I would be OUTTA THERE.
But you know what? I've decided to stay.
Why?
Because these things aren't commandments in stone.
Because these things are my opinions, in a lot of cases.
And mainly because of I Corinthians 13.
The people in this congregation are so incredibly full of love for one another...
And---
we can go to church all we want,
sing all the best songs,
play all the instruments in the world as if an angel were playing,
be organized until we all know where every person is at every moment in the day----
but---
if we don't have love,
it's like finding a huge Christmas present under the tree and untying its satin ribbons, just to find air inside.
It's empty.
My is lost.
But I see in his eyes that he is being drawn toward Christ by the thoughtful things the people at church have done for me. My is already being won back by their love.
If anything will win my , it will be the love of Christ shining through these people.
I'm excited about that!
