ONE MORE ANT So I use my gifts to God's glory. I do everything as unto the Lord. I've been doing that. But now I want to know something: what do they mean? Really? When I paint the flowers in my yard, and do it to God's glory. Pin it down. In real-life, solid terms, what in the world does that mean? I give God the credit. I use paintings to encourage people. So is that it? What about when I play my congas? I'm tired of these nebulous church phrases that don't say anything. We use them to massage our emotions or kick start our worship. It's time to toss them. No, I'm not being heretical. "To the glory of God" was a great phrase---in its day. But how many people do you know who walk into a restaurant and say, "The food here is good because of the glory of the chef." We occasionally hear people use the term "glorious" to describe good food or pretty hair. But somehow, I get the feeling that has brought the word down a bit. If you are sitting at home and make a beautiful bracelet, how---can anyone tell me in today's words?---do I do that to the glory of God? How does it become---useful? Or are the terms "to the glory of God" and "useful" not even close to being the same thing? If that is the case, then no matter how much we do something "to the glory of God", it can still all be useless... And we are just one more ant scurrying around on the hill, thinking we're doing something important... |

Your advice is useful. Thanks. Funny thing...I began doing just what you advised a few months ago.  IN JESUS TEACHINGS ALONE. The HS is more than willing to remind you to keep asking questions- and will show you where Jesus was, is and will be later- same place for now- only in the 4. remember small details and seemingly out of place ones are important beyond belief. K? It's not easy to find- and mostly that's because we don't look. Ask any questions you need to ask in there- He's a teacher... best one ever.

I posted this on your other blog- so I would like to paste it here and modify it just a bit to address the new post here as well. See if something strikes you as worth listening to about what you are truly seeing and experiencing in your life. -------------------------------------------------------------- Quote me- "Fantastic place to start!!!!! Complacency within the "christian" form of FAITH IN NOTHING is where you are- and ASKING WHY is crucial to start walking away from DEAD FAITH. If the doors were closed AFTER you did what you THOUGHT God was asking of you- IT IS THE WRONG THING(s ) to present to Him. Witness "cain and abel"- the fruit of one's work was ok- the other was not. Yet we do not despise our fellow humans the way it happened back then producing a different lesson about GOD. It's a lesson we have yet to understand about God. He sent us His SON to show us exactly what The Father WANTS US TO ALL DO. It is a single job- "one size fits all" IF we were doing it. ONE single easy and light job/yoke that would literally produce miracles if we could know it, understand it, and then DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it perfectly. Perhaps the reason for the "closed doors" might be that one little job that will be behind that one door behind a "doorknob" in a different hallway. Simply study the 4 Gospels more. See what pops out. yoke. Job. Easy and light. universal. never changes unless we do not FOLLOW JESUS' RULES... simple rules. simple wages, simple peace, simple perfection. Jesus said these things- men- "christians" deny what Jesus said- and believe their own doctrine. That doctrine produces nothing but more doctrine. Jesus way- produces RESULTS IN REALITY. Not dead faith. What JESUS ALONE SAID- IS REAL. 4 Gospels. "The way to LIFE". It's NOT what we have been taught it is. Jesus said FEW FIND IT. The FINDING IS HARD. But not impossible. Study the 4. re-read it repeatedly... dump ALLLLLLL of the things people ever taught you about the 4 AND ABOUT JESUS. Learn it for yourself and KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS AS YOU READ... HS will indeed show you what is REAL- and remind you of what Jesus was physically doing and why. It's NOT what we were taught by RELIGION. May take you a while to notice the small details in the story of the 4- never skip a small detail. That help? 4 Gospels. FOLLOW JESUS AND WATCH HIM WORK. 4 Gospels- Jesus is your ONLY TEACHER. ( I get called satan and other stuff like that for saying READ THE 4- LISTEN TO JESUS ONLY--- DUMP MEN'S DOCTRINE- JESUS ONLY- It will likely happen here on your blog now too. )Funny thing...I began doing just what you advised a few months ago.

Oh sweetie, I don't know!  But I know Someone who does. Ask Him. I'd like to share a itty bitty story with you. Once I had a question I wanted to ask the pastor. After every service I would wait around after church trying to speak to the pastor. He was always busy talking to someone else and didn't have time for me. One Sunday while sitting in church the Lord asked me why don't you just ask Me. I did and He gave me my answer. Sometimes we go to man for answers when He is just standing by waiting for us to ask Him.

I personally think that anything we do that betters this world no matter how small it may seem is a glory to God. Does God not like to see His children happy? Does God not like to see His children painting beautiful pictures of his glorious creation? God is Love in the very essence of Love that we do not know anything about yet. But someday we will when we meet Him face to face. And I honestly don't think he is going to ask you, "Why did you waste your time making bracelets, purses, and painting pictures?" But then, if you feel like you are wasting your time, then maybe you are. May God Bless You in ABUNDANCE
