WHAT TO GIVE FOR FATHER'S DAY

At church last Sunday, one of the guys who got up to do a talk started out telling about one Father's Day...
He went over to his parents' house. He thought that as his gift that year, he would help out around the house, so he did some repairs, pulled some weeds, and mowed the lawn.
As he was mowing the lawn, he realized he had made a boo-boo: it wasn't Father's Day---it was MOTHER'S Day. He "should" have brought a card and flowers, and taken her out to dinner. (I kinda liked the idea of the help around the house idea, myself).
He went on to talk about how we do different things on different occasions.
I think my favorite part of what he said was that, at church, on Mother's Day, someone stands by the door and gives a card and a flower to each mother---which is wonderful.
Then he suggested they have the person at the door, on Father's Day, give each father a card--- and a piece of chicken.
Because that's the kind of thing that makes guys happy.
Hmmm....interesting concept.....
