BILLY GRAHAM SAYS PEOPLE IN OTHER RELIGIONS CAN BE SAVED

In an interview with McCall’s magazine, January 1978, entitled “I Can’t Play God Any More,” Graham said: “I used to believe that pagans in far-off countries were lost–were going to hell–if they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. I no longer believe that. … I believe that there are other ways of recognizing the existence of God–through nature, for instance–and plenty of other opportunities, therefore, of saying ‘yes’ to God.”

Though Graham later tried to stem the controversy brought about by his comments, he continued to allow for the possibility that the unsaved in other religions might not go to hell if they respond to natural light.

In 1985, Graham affirmed his belief that those outside of Christ might be saved. Los Angeles reporter David Colker asked Graham: “What about people of other faiths who live good lives but don’t profess a belief in Christ?” Graham replied, “I’m going to leave that to the Lord. He’ll decide that” (Los Angeles Herald Examiner, July 22, 1985). While this answer might appear reasonable to those who do not know the Bible, in reality it is a great compromise of the truth. God has already decided what will happen to those who die outside of faith in Jesus Christ. The book of Ephesians describes the condition of such as “ of wrath” (Eph. 2:3) and “having no hope, and without God in the world” (Eph. 2:12) That is why Christ must be preached. Men without a saving knowledge of Christ are condemned already (John 3:1. There is no mystery or question about this matter, because the Bible has plainly spoken.

In 1993, Graham repeated this philosophy in an interview with David Frost. “And I think there is that hunger for God and people are living as best they know how according to the light that they have. Well, I think they’re in a separate category than people like Hitler and people who have just defied God, and shaken their fists at God. … I would say that God, being a God of mercy, we have to rest it right there, and say that God is a God of mercy and love, and how it happens, we don’t know” (The Charlotte Observer, Feb. 16, 1993)

In his interview with Robert Schuller in May 1997, Graham again said that he believes people in other religions can be saved without consciously believing in Jesus Christ.

SCHULLER: Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?

GRAHAM: Well, Christianity and being a true believer--you know, I think there's the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ. And I don't think that we're going to see a great sweeping revival, that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. I think James answered that, the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God's purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that's what God is doing today, He's calling people out of the world for His name, WHETHER THEY COME FROM THE MUSLIM WORLD, OR THE BUDDHIST WORLD, OR THE CHRISTIAN WORLD OR THE NON-BELIEVING WORLD, THEY ARE MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN CALLED BY GOD. THEY MAY NOT EVEN KNOW THE NAME OF JESUS but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don't have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they're going to be with us in heaven.

SCHULLER: What, what I hear you saying that it's possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life, even if they've been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you're saying?

GRAHAM: Yes, it is, because I believe that. I've met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN A BIBLE OR HEARD ABOUT A BIBLE, AND NEVER HEARD OF JESUS, BUT THEY'VE BELIEVED IN THEIR HEARTS THAT THERE WAS A GOD, and they've tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived.

SCHULLER: [trips over his tongue for a moment, his face beaming, then says] I I'm so thrilled to hear you say this. There's a wideness in God's mercy.

GRAHAM: There is. There definitely is (Television interview of Billy Graham by Robert Schuller, broadcast in southern California on Saturday, May 31, 1997).

“I have some difficulty in accepting the indiscriminate baptism of infants without a careful regard as to whether the parents have any intention of fulfilling the promise they make. But I do believe that something happens at the baptism of an infant, particularly if the parents are Christians and teach their Christian Truths from childhood. We cannot fully understand the miracles of God, but I believe that a miracle can happen in these so that they are regenerated, that is, made Christian, through infant baptism. If you want to call that baptismal regeneration, that’s all right with me” (Graham, interview with Wilfred Bockelman, associate editor of the Lutheran Standard, American Lutheran Church, Lutheran Standard, October 10, 1961).
In Time magazine, November 15, 1993, Graham said: “The only thing I could say for sure is that hell means separation from God. We are separated from his light, from his fellowship. That is going to be hell. When it comes to a literal fire, I don’t preach it because I’m not sure about it. When the Scripture uses fire concerning hell, that is possibly an illustration of how terrible it’s going to be–not fire but something worse, a thirst for God that cannot be quenched.”

GRAHAM SAYS THE VIRGIN BIRTH NOT A NECESSARY PART OF CHRISTIAN FAITH

In an interview with a United Church of Canada publication in 1966, Graham gave the following reply to a question about the virgin birth of Christ:

Q. Do you think a literal belief in the Virgin birth--not just as a symbol of the incarnation or of Christ’s divinity--as an historic event is necessary for personal salvation?
A. While I most certainly believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, I do not find anywhere in the New Testament that this particular belief is necessary for personal salvation (“Billy Graham Answers 26 Provocative Questions,” United Church of Observer, July 1, 1966).

In his zeal to appease the apostates in the United Church of Christ (its current moderator, Bill Phipps, denies that Jesus Christ is God), How would it be possible for a saved person to deny the virgin birth of Jesus Christ? If Jesus Christ were not virgin born, he was a sinner; and if he were a sinner, he could not have died for our sins. Further, if Christ were a sinner and if He were not virgin born. Therefore, apart from the virgin birth there is no Gospel and no Salvation and no authoritative Bible. Billy Graham is dead wrong. The virgin birth of Christ is “fatal” doctrine, meaning it is crucial for salvation. The entire Gospel stands or falls on the virgin birth.

It is tragic how Graham is looked upon as a pillar of the Faith by so many fundamentalists and yet he compromises the teachings of the Bible in all of these various interviews through the years. It is as though he is trying to please men at the expense of God's Truth for fear of offending someone. Such is common place today. One only need look at ministries like Olstean's, for example, who won't preach the blood of Jesus for fear of offending someone. Never put any man on a pedestal.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not subject to compromise, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is an ultimatum! Its God's way or no way!

BILLY GRAHAM TELLS ROBERT SCHULLER HE BELIEVES PEOPLE CAN BE SAVED APART FROM JESUS CHRIST!

From Cuttingedge Newsletter

Dr. Robert Schuller interviews Reverend Billy Graham on T.V. Graham says he believes people can be saved without knowing Jesus Christ as Savior. This is the standard line of the New Age Religion, of the Roman Catholic Church, and the Liberal Ecumenical Movement!

NEWS BRIEF: "Graham Believes Men Can Be Saved Apart From Name Of Christ", by Robert E. Kofahl, Ph.D., television interview of Billy Graham by Robert Schuller, on May 31, 1997. The following segment is an exact transcript of an excerpt close to the end of the broadcast. Reported by The Christian News, October 20, 1997, page 15.

"SCHULLER: Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?

GRAHAM: Well, Christianity and being a true believer -- you know, I think there's the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world, outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ ... "SCHULLER: [R.S. trips over his tongue for a moment, his face beaming, then says] I'm so thrilled to hear you say this. There's a wideness in God's mercy.

GRAHAM/B] There is. There definitely is."

This is the end of the pertinent segment from the May 31, 1997, TV interview. Before we go on to the pertinent segment of the June 8, 1997, segment, let us pause to review some of the terrible events we have just heard Reverend Graham say. We will requote segments of Graham's statements, and then look to see what the Bible has to say.

Dr. Graham: " I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ"

The Apostle Paul provides the most definitive refutation to this false statement by Dr. Graham. " For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" [Romans 10:13-15]

When Paul says that "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved", he is correctly implying that a person cannot be saved apart from the name and Person of Jesus Christ. This is why the Christian Church has placed such an emphasis on sending missionaries to foreign lands where the Gospel has not been heard. The Apostle Paul then continues to elaborate on this terrible truth. "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?"

When Dr. Graham asserts that people can be saved even though they know not the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, he is repeating the lie -- the false doctrine of the New Age Religion -- and of the Roman Catholic Church, as well as of Liberal "Christians" like Dr. Schuller. This statement is quite a departure from traditional Southern Baptist teaching; but, it does fit in nicely with today's burgeoning Ecumenical theology, as they state that there are many roads to Heaven, and it does not really matter what you believe as long as you are "sincere".

JESUS THE ONLY WAY

Of course, this Apostate Doctrine is easily and definitively refuted by none other than Jesus Christ Himself. Listen carefully to His Words: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." [John 14:6]

Then, Jesus stated this Truth yet another way. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." [John 10-9] Please notice the several critically important points Jesus made in these verses: 1) He reiterated that He was the door of the sheep. He alone was the door, the path to eternal life. 2) Jesus stated boldly that every one who came before him as the spiritual door to eternal life was a thief and a robber! What are these false spiritual leaders stealing? They are stealing precious eternal souls, for whom Jesus Christ died!! Jesus fully intended this principle to extend to those false religious leaders who would come after Him, as this is an eternal principle: Jesus alone is the narrow door to eternal life. 3) Jesus reiterated, "I am the door", which correctly implies that all other "doors" are dead ends that can never lead to eternal life.

Let us approach this subject in another direction. What does the Bible have to say about someone who defames the precious atonement of Jesus Christ? Believe me, Dr. Graham is defaming the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ by his statements, above! Listen to what the Holy Spirit says in these passages, following: 1) "He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite [contempt] unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people." [Hebrews 10:28-30]

These are sobering words, indeed, for Dr. Graham has "trodden under foot the Son of God", and he has definitely "counted the blood of the covenant an unholy thing", and he has definitely "done despite [contempt]" against the Holy Spirit of Grace! Finally, notice God's Judgment pronounced against anyone who commits this type of sin!!

2) When we back up in Hebrews 10, to verse 26, we see why God's Judgment is so severe against anyone and everyone who dares teach that someone could be saved without accepting the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." [Hebrews 10:26-27] When we consider the Truth of the statement that "there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins" we are again confronted by the inescapable Truth that Jesus is the only Way to the Father in Heaven for eternity. When Dr. Graham is teaching that people can be saved without accepting the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ, he is condemning them to the Broad Path, which cannot save them. He is condemning them to a religion that will doom them ["there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins"].

3) "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them." [2 Peter 2:20-21] Sadly, Dr. Graham appears to have turned from the knowledge of the Narrow Path of Jesus Christ to the Broad Path of the deceived, and is now using the considerable influence of his office to teach the damnable lie of the Ecumenical Movement.

4) "But the person who does anything wrong, willfully and openly ... that one reproaches, reviles, and blasphemes the Lord, and that person shall be cut off [killed] from among his people ... because he has despised and rejected the word of the Lord, and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him." [Numbers 15:30-31; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

This incredible Scripture shows that God --in the Old Testament -- took a very dim view of anyone who committed the sin of "rejecting the word of the Lord" and "breaking His commandment". This is the sin of Dr. Graham, and it is critically serious to the future of his own soul! Many people will follow Dr. Graham in this belief that a person can be saved apart from accepting the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and will spend eternity Hell because of it. But, in the more immediate time frame, many people will be able to accept the New World Order Religion, its False Prophet, and even Antichrist, because they have believed this lie.

5) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." [Acts 4:12] This bold statement should cause anyone to understand that Dr. Graham is absolutely, completely false in his assertion that a person can be saved apart from the name, and the blood sacrifice that is an essential part, of Jesus Christ.

Now, let us look at the true Ecumenical nature of this position as espoused here by Graham. Remember, the purpose of the Ecumenical Movement is to unify all the religions of the world so they can establish a One-World Religion, the religion of the coming New World Order. Since the New World Order is, by New Age definition, the Kingdom of The New Age Christ, who is supposed to be called by the name, Maitreya, this new global religion will be the religion of the Antichrist and his False Prophet. Thus, the stakes are enormously high, for the world generally and for your soul specifically. Let us examine again the next part of Graham's statement, above.

MASONIC TEACHING EMPHASIZES GOD THE FATHER

"... God's purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that's what God is doing today, He's calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world ..."

Did you notice that this statement subtly shifts the focus of Graham's statement from Jesus Christ to God? "God's purpose", "He's" calling people out of the world for "His name". Thus, the emphasis is on God here, not Jesus Christ.

This is standard Freemasonry!! Listen to the preface to a Freemason Bible: "Thus, by the very honor which Masonry pays to the Bible, it teaches us to revere every book of faith in which men find help for to-day and hope for the morrow, joining hands with the man of Islam as he takes oath on the Koran, and with the Hindu as he makes covenant with God upon the book that he loves best. For Masonry knows what so many forget, that religions are many, but Religion is one ... Therefore, it [Masonry] invites to its altar men of all faiths, knowing that, if they use different names for the 'Nameless One of a hundred names', they are yet praying to the one God and Father of all; knowing, also, that while they read different volumes, they are, in fact, reading the same vast Book ..." [The Holy Bible; The Great Light In Masonry, Masonic Edition, A.J. Holman Co., Philadelphia, 1924, page 4; Emphasis mine].

In Masonry, great emphasis is placed upon God the Father! But, there is scant reference to Jesus Christ. Thus, the "Christian" leader who is Freemason has a definite dilemma on his hands, as he must find his Freemason path through a religion -- Christianity -- where all glory is given to Jesus Christ in God's Holy Bible.

This focus on God is also suspiciously like Freemasonry teaching that Creator God is the one to be worshipped, and that Jesus Christ is simply a created being by another lesser god, Ialdabaoath. Jesus Christ is then said to be "One with God the Father", when the God the Father of which they are speaking is Ialdabaoath! [Albert Pike, "Morals And Dogma of the Ancient And Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry", Chapter 26, or the 26th Degree, "Prince Of Mercy, or Scottish Trinitarian", pages 562-3].

BIBLE GIVES ALL GLORY TO JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ, THE ONLY name under Heaven whereby we must be saved. Jesus Christ, to Whom all glory, and honor, and power is given, under Heaven! Dr. Graham's statements, above, are very slick, in that they say that the emphasis is on God calling out a people for His name. Then, he follows this statement up by saying that anyone who sincerely is seeking God, no matter what his religion might be, is "redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ".

Thus, Dr. Graham is very subtly saying that the primary issue at work today is that God is calling forth a people for His Name. Please take note of several important aspects of this issue:

1) Notice that the Bible teaches that God has elevated Jesus Christ to preeminent rank, and that He has given Jesus all authority in Heaven and on Earth. [Isaiah 53:12; Matthew 28:18; John 17:1-3]

2) Notice that all peoples will ultimately bow their knees to confess Jesus as Lord. [Phillipians 2:10-11]. If anyone is calling out a people for His name, it should be God through Jesus Christ. It will not be God alone, acting apart from Jesus Christ. [Phillipians 2:11]

Thus, Dr. Graham is very cleverly teaching the God-only Freemason doctrine here. We encourage you to read NEWS1082, where we reported that Dr. Graham was listed as a "Famous Mason" by the Louisiana Masonic Family. These statements add further credibility that Graham may secretly be a Freemason.

Now, let us examine further statements by Dr. Graham to Dr. Schuller, in another TV interview, on June 8, 1997.

"SCHULLER: "You knew Fulton Sheen. You knew these men. Your comments on both of these men [Fulton Sheen and Norman Vincent Peale].

GRAHAM: The primary way of communicating is to live the life, let people see that you're living what you proclaim [comments on his friendship with Fulton Sheen]. I lost a very dear friend, and since that time, the whole relationship between me and my work, and you and your work, and the Roman Catholic Church has changed. They open their arms to welcome us and we have the support of the Catholic Church almost everywhere we go. And I think that we must come to the place where we keep our eyes on Jesus Christ, not on what denomination or what church or what group we belong to."

Wow, this is quite the statement, as Graham brags about his full acceptance by the Roman Catholic Church. At this point, we recommend you go to NEWS1052, "Seminar Notes of the New England Director of the House of Theosophy, 8/18/91". In this seminar, the Director stated that the decision has just been made to place the Roman Catholic Pope at the head of the coming New World Order Religion! This decision identifies the Roman Catholic Pope as the Biblical False Prophet, whose only mission is to serve Antichrist! Thus, Dr. Graham is bragging about being accepted by the future False Prophet!! This statement is heavy, indeed!

Further, Graham's bragging about his working relationship with the Pope also places Graham at the point we have feared all along, that of his working on behalf of the Antichrist when he arises. You see, the New World Order Plan calls for religious leaders from all over the world to take some very specific steps immediately after Antichrist arises. Religious leaders from all over the world, from every segment of religion, are to step forward to urge their followers to accept and follow this New Age Messiah, supposedly to be called, Maitreya. Certainly, some Christian leaders will step forward to urge acceptance of this Christ [Antichrist]. Will Dr. Graham be one of them? We fear he might, especially since he has been steadily moving Leftward for the past 4 decades [See our NEWS1082, "Reverend Billy Graham Is Reported To Be A Freemason. Report On Past Errors And Ramifications -- BGEA Denial Included".]

These kinds of statements from Reverend Graham are so anti-Biblical, so anti-Christian, and so pro-Freemason, we are worried even more. These statements simply serve the cause of the New World Order, of uniting all the world's religions, that we can only wonder why he is making them. Graham is certainly a trained seminarian, so he cannot be making these statements accidentally, or by mistake. He is very carefully choosing his words, and walking a fine line between Truth and False, but very cleverly just inside the False line.

BROAD ROAD ESPOUSED BY SCHULLER AND GRAHAM

Let us now examine the statement by Dr. Schuller again. "I'm so thrilled to hear you say this. There's a wideness in God's mercy.

GRAHAM: There is. There definitely is."

There is a "wideness" in God's Mercy, says Dr. Schuller, to which Graham responds in the affirmative. This choice of words is also very, very interesting. It reveals the true anti-Christian basis of Graham's statement. Dr. Graham is stating that he is advocating a wideness in the path to Heaven, to eternal life. One can believe anything they want to believe, from the Hindu, to the Buddhist, to the non-Christian, and still go to Heaven as long as they are sincere [Reread Graham's statement, above]! Graham is advocating the existence of such a wide road to Heaven that anyone can believe anything, and still be considered part of the Body of Jesus Christ and on their way to Heaven!

NARROW ROAD ESPOUSED BY JESUS CHRIST

Does Jesus Christ mention such a Broad Road being advocated? Of course, He does, and guess what? That Broad Road does not lead to Heaven, according to Jesus Christ! Listen:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:" [Matthew 7:13] Dear friend, please, oh please, notice what Jesus is saying. He is warning that the " broad way" leads to "destruction" which is Hell! On this Broad Road, people can believe anything they want to believe, and they will go to Heaven, supposedly. But, on the Day of Judgment, they will discover to their horror that this "Broad Road" led to eternal punishment in Hell, rather than eternal life in Heaven. Their response is predicted by Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23, just a few short verses after this warning not to accept the Broad Road. Listen to Jesus' account of the people who wake up on Judgment Day, and horrified to realize they are going to Hell.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." [Matthew 7:21-23]

We have learned, in Hebrews 10:28-30, that one of the greatest sins a person can commit is to "trample underfoot" the blessed blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. No person can be saved by any other means, so when you reject that blood sacrifice, you are doomed. This teaching which Dr. Graham is espousing does exactly that, it tramples underfoot the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ; and, this teaching seeks to replace it with the Broad Way.

Now, listen to Jesus describe the True Way.

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." [Matthew 7:14] In this Narrow Way, Jesus Christ and His Blood Sacrifice is the only way that anyone can enter Heaven. He is the only Savior, the only Messiah, and the only way in which a person can ever go to the Father. This is a very hard spiritual road, one in which a person can believe only certain things, and must obey the commandments of Jesus Christ. They cannot believe anything, do anything, and still get to Heaven. This Narrow Road is so difficult that, in any generation, very few people will find it, and fewer still will stay on it.

This terrible apostasy, of which Graham has just advocated, is one of the signs of the End of the Age. Jesus said that, when we see all the signs of the End of the Age occurring, taken together, we would know that His Second Coming was "near, at the very doors". Since the most important sign was to be the return of Israel back to her land (which occurred in 194, we know most definitely that the Lord's Return is imminent.
This type of apostasy is simply one more indication that the End of the Age is very near, and event which will be preceded by the staged appearance of Antichrist.

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

All of these kind of polemics WON'T change the TRUTH about whom will really DESERVE to be saved and who will not! And of course with "being saved" we intend ETERNAL LIFE with God, or there wouldn't be any other purpose in being saved!

Even if previous to Redemption it would have seemed impossible and UNDESERVED for every single human being, Jesus still MADE IT possible for ALL. And this must certainly NOT be misunderstood as IF everyone on earth will be saved indistinctively of what they believe.

Sure, Jesus is explicit in saying "Preach the Gospel to all people, who'll believe will be saved, who won't will be not" as also in saying "First the Gospel must be preached to all nations and then the end will come".

But He DIDN'T SAY the end wouldn't come until every single one has heard the gospel and accepted it or rejected it! As he didn't say either that ONLY those that had opportunity to hear it would be saved!!

Therefore, if the questions to Graham (in this case) or anyone entitled to spread Jesus' Gospel would have been asked the question formulated as:

"Will those that have heard the Gospel and didn't believe be saved?" he would probably have answered a BLANK NO!

Jesus doesn't put "God in a box", he rather puts Him OUT of any human boxes!!

This is the same that happened on the other old post about Joel Osteen when he was almost forced by the media to answer about "several possible ways to Heaven".

Jean (reallysaved) is having a similar blog that focused on the same thoughts:
---> [post 149783]

Obviously, why spread the Gospel at all if all will and can be saved without even have heard of Jesus?

On the other hand it could be asked:

• IS ONE SPREADING THE GOSPEL CORRECTLY AS JESUS INTENDED?
• IS ONE FOCUSING ON WHAT IT'S IMPLIED IN BELIEVING IN HIM?

Or is it just for the pleasure of arguing that because He said "NO ONE CAN COME TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME", automatically would make God disregard ALSO those that God Himself might decide IF THEY FIND OR HAVE FOUND GRACE IN HIS EYES?

And now the question to you:

Is the main purpose of preaching the Gospels TO SAVE or TO CONDEMN???

IT'S THE GOSPEL FOR "ALL" (whosoever indistinctively) WHO'LL COME TO BELIEVE, OR ONLY and ALONE FOR THE ELECT???

And of course I also have to remark:
As for your continuous and unchanged attitude TODAY against the Pope, the Catholic Church, the Lutherans, Christian Ecumenical fellowship, all the anti-Christs you may fantasize about, and God knows what, it certainly doesn't make your "reformed position" sound BETTER than the SDA's you've been arraigning for so long.

But one thing has to be remember though:

... if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)

By John Ashbrook

Let's go back to Dr. Ockenga. In his press release of December 8, 1957, Dr. Ockenga outlined the "organization front" which would win the respect of liberalism and defeat the grungy forces of fundamentalism. This chapter will deal with the sixth aspect of the organizational front. That aspect is not a school or a movement, but a person. Dr. Ockenga phrased it thus:

"... sixth, there is the appearance of an evangelist, Billy Graham, who on the mass level is the spokesman of the convictions and ideals of the New Evangelicalism."

I have frequently disagreed with Dr. Ockenga in his convictions, but I cannot disagree with his statement identifying Billy Graham as the mouthpiece of new evangelicalism on the mass level.

Billy by a Nose
The two most recognizable religious figures of the last forty years have been Billy Graham and Pope John Paul II. At times there have been short challenges from men such as Oral Roberts and Jerry Falwell, but coming down the stretch all the contenders have fallen behind. My guess would be that it is Billy Graham by a nose over John Paul II as the world's best known religious figure. Graham has been invited to the White House more than any other clergyman in recent history. He has been confidante, advisor, dinner guest or golf partner for all the U.S. Presidents from Harry Truman to George Bush--a record that even the Pope cannot match. When the media seek religious opinions on the issues of the day, Billy Graham is never missed.

Every fundamental pastor has faced the fame of Billy Graham. Newcomers attracted to the church ask the pastor, "What do you think of Billy Graham?" Woe to the pastor who has a negative hint in his answer. If he dares to question the famous evangelist's associations, positions or policies, he is immediately dismissed as unloving and non-evangelistic. Many fundamental churches would be twice their size if they only went along with Billy Graham. Graham's conduct has become the popular norm for evangelicalism, more valued than what the Bible says.

I do not want to belabor what everyone already knows about Billy Graham. When he burst upon the national scene in the late 1940's he held positions which would have been shared by Bible believers in every denomination. He believed in an inerrant Scripture, the lost condition of all men, the necessity of salvation through the blood of Christ and the eternal destiny of man in either heaven or hell. He would have shared a desire to be separate from the world, a hatred for the liberalism which had robbed modernistic churches of the gospel, a clear perception of Roman Catholicism as a false religious system, a non-charismatic orientation and a recognition of atheistic communism as one of the shrewdest works of the devil.

It would be my observation that, in every one of these areas, Billy Graham has moved from orthodoxy to accommodation. The neutralist penchant to be accepted by the world has led to an accommodation to the world's view in every area.

Salvation without the Savior?
McCall's for January 1978, carried a five-page interview and story on Billy Graham titled, "I Can't Play God Any More." The theme of the article was to show that Graham no longer held to his dogmatic (Biblical) convictions of the past. For instance, Graham is quoted as saying:

"I used to believe that pagans in far-off countries were lost--were going to hell--if they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. I no longer believe that."

That statement makes one recall that Jesus said, "I am the way ... no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). The words of Peter also come to mind:

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

The Bible believer immediately recognizes that here is a broad accommodation to the thinking of the natural man's belief that Jesus Christ is not the only way.

Graham is also quoted in the same article as saying:

"I believe that there are other ways of recognizing the existence of God--through nature, for instance--and plenty of other opportunities therefore, of saying `yes' to God."

This matter is explicitly dealt with in Romans 1 where God explains that man should see God in the creation about him. However, Romans explains that because of man's depraved heart, he does not give that glory to God, but to images made like men, birds, beasts and creeping things. Men like to believe that there are "plenty of other opportunities," but God simply says to go and give the gospel to every creature.

What not to do at the Synagogue
In the same article Graham explains another accommodation made to the Jewish community. The article states as follows:

"Graham once believed that Jews, too, were lost if they did not convert to Christianity. Today Graham is willing to leave that up to God. ... Billy is particularly opposed to evangelical groups such as `Jews for Jesus' who have made Jews the special target of their proselytizing efforts. ... `If a person wants to convert to Christianity, that is his own freewill decision,' Billy declares. ... `I would never go after someone just because he is a Jew, which is why I have never supported the Jewish missions."

Peter and Paul were never ready to make such an accommodation. It was to a Jewish audience that Peter said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..." It was Paul's' custom in almost every city on his missionary journeys to go straight to the synagogue that he might preach the gospel to his brethren, the Jews. It was to a Jewish audience that Paul preached the following:

"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses."

Scripture obviously teaches that Judaism is not enough. Men must come to Christ. Obviously Peter and Paul did not receive honors from the Anti-Defamation League of B'Nai B'rith and the National Conference of Christians and Jews as Billy Graham has done.

Church Tradition
I will have more to say later on about Billy's accommodation to Roman Catholicism. However, in the McCall's article Graham stated:

"I am far more tolerant of other kinds of Christians than I once was. My contact with Catholic, Lutheran and other leaders--people far removed from my own Southern Baptist tradition--has helped me, hopefully, to move in the right direction. I've found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics, for instance. They believe in the Virgin Birth, and so do I. They believe in the Resurrection of Jesus and the coming judgment of God, and so do I. We only differ on some matters of later church tradition."

This is high sounding dialogue. It makes the reformation seem like a mistake. That "later church tradition" adds a pope, the hocus pocus of the mass and the necessity of works for salvation. It obscures the fact that salvation is by grace alone and not by works of righteousness which we have done. It is true that Christianity shares certain points of doctrine with many of the "isms," but that does not mean that we identify with those who deny the essence of salvation through a crucified Saviour.

Christianity Today for May 21, 1982, reported on a visit of Graham to apostate Harvard University where he received a very good reaction from the students. Reporter Tom Minnery said the following:

"In fact, if there was a reason for Graham's success with the Harvard students, it was his forthright admission that he does not have all the answers, and for his gentle approach to the Gospel, minus the fire and damnation."

The reporter further explained that Graham said he is still on a personal pilgrimage and "the more I learn, the less dogmatic I become on some topics." Probably all of us need to be less dogmatic about our personal feelings, but God never gives us the privilege of being less dogmatic about doctrine. What God says is true, and we dare not accommodate it to what the world thinks.

A Religious News Service dispatch from Urbana, Illinois, about 1976, read as follows:

"Billy Graham, the evangelist, urged here that evangelicals `accept unity in diversity' and avoid divisiveness over such matters as Biblical inerrancy, charismatic phenomena, and political activism."

An inerrant Biblical authority is the bedrock of faith. When men stray from that authority, they soon have no authority at all.

Endorsing Oral
To the best of my knowledge Graham is non-charismatic himself. However, by taking a neutralist stand on the charismatic issue, he signals to all his followers that the excesses of the charismatic movement are perfectly normal for the believer. He has appeared on TV specials with Oral Roberts and on the campus of Oral's university. There has never been a word of protest or warning about Roberts' wild visions, faith healing and shameless money-raising schemes. At Graham's International Conference for Itinerant Evangelists, common called Amsterdam '83, two of the main speakers were Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho of Korea and Dr. Pat Robertson of the U.S.A. Both, of course, are outspoken charismatics. Obviously, they see no need to warn young evangelists about the dangers of charismatism.

Catering to Kathryn
The Billy Graham Center on the campus of Wheaton College is an extension of Billy's ministry. When it was revealed in 1977 that the Graham organization had amassed $23,000,000 in holdings, one of the reasons given was that some of the money would be used for the center on the Wheaton Campus. The fall 1987 edition of In Form (Bulletin of Wheaton College) advertised that there would be a month-long exhibit at the Billy Graham Center titled "Ministry of Kathryn Kuhlman Exhibit." Kathryn Kuhlman was a self- proclaimed prophetess, charismatic, and healer in the Aimee Semple McPherson mold. Her prime territory for ministry was in the area of western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio where I have spent my ministry. Since I have observed her unscriptural excesses firsthand I found it hard to believe that some Bible believers would honor her ministry. Again we see the neutralist principle of accommodation to please all men.

A Shoehorn for Elvis
When anyone begins to accommodate all the people of the world, open worldliness must follow. Even so, it was shocking to read in the newspapers that Graham expected to see Elvis Presley in heaven. The San Francisco Chronicle for October 8, 1977, quoted an Associated Press dispatch from Charlotte as follows:

"Evangelist Billy Graham says he thinks he will see Elvis Presley in heaven and is `pretty sure' he will die within the next tens years. `I never met him (Presley) but I believe I will see him in heaven because Elvis Presley was very deeply religious, especially in the last two or three years,' Graham said."

Shoehorning Elvis into heaven seems to be a rather tough assignment, especially since it is predicated on being "very deeply religious" instead of repenting of sin and casting all on Jesus Christ.

More such unbelievable worldliness came out of Amsterdam '83. Foundation Magazine, Vol. IV, Issue IV, 1983, gave quotations from the Rev. Michael Green, an Englishman, who was both a main speaker and a workshop leader:

"`Don't talk about new birth, talk about liberation. ... Identify with and befriend secular society. Become one with them. Read their materials. Get out of our Christian ghetto mentality...' Green criticized the evangelist who `never reads a modern novel ... who never goes to a modern play or sees a thoughtful modern film.'"

He then went on to advise the evangelists to attend the world's movies. This is standard new evangelical thinking. Christianity Today has a movie column like the secular papers where it reviews current films. When Billy Graham attended Wheaton College in the early 1940's, every student was required to sign a pledge not to attend the movies. It is also standard new evangelical procedure to water down the wording of the Bible to appease modern man. To eliminate the new birth and the blood and hell to please man is to betray the God who saved us.

A Star on the Sidewalk
Hollywood has been the fountainhead of the filthy motion picture industry. On October 14, 1989, our local paper, The News-Herald, carried the following story:

"The world's best-known evangelist tomorrow will have his name and the likeness of an old-fashioned radio microphone engraved on the 1900th star along the Hollywood Walk of Fame."

Apparently, this dubious honor by the most worldly of the world bothered Billy a bit, for the story continues as follows:

"`I'm not sure a clergyman belongs in that group of entertainers,' Graham said sheepishly, noting that his star will be near those honoring Wayne Newton, Buster Crabbe, John Travolta, Judy Holliday, Julie Andrews, Olivia Newton-John and Greta Garbo. ... `A star was offered to me 30 years ago,' he said, `and I said, No then. But I've changed my views.'"

I do not know all the celebrities mentioned in the above quote, but I do know that they were stars of worldliness and not of godliness. On first thought it would seem surprising that the Hollywood crowd would want a preacher's star in its crown. The newspaper went on to quote on that:

"`I doubt there is anyone in Hollywood who has been seen, heard or enjoyed by more people than Billy Graham,' said Johnny Grant, Hollywood's honorary mayor and chairman of the Walk of Fame Committee. Grant said that the committee voted unanimously to give Graham the honor after he was nominated last year by friends who paid the $4,800 fee."

This is the way the accommodation game is played. I won't protest your filth if you don't protest my star.

A Love Fest with Apostates
There is another area of accommodation which cries to be mentioned here--that is Billy Graham's relationship to the apostate National and World Council of Churches. These two organizations are the official organizations of apostasy on national and world levels. While there are born again believers in some of the churches, they are surely not evident in the leadership. If the command of God to "Come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord" applies to any two groups at all, they are surely these two groups. However, since Dr. Graham accepted apostates on the crusade level and shared his platform with them, he cannot refuse fellowship with them on an organizational level. There is enough evidence in this area that it would take a doctoral thesis to collect and analyze it. In an effort to be brief I will quote only Graham's own words about it.

Shortly after Amsterdam '83, a World Council of Churches Assembly took place on the campus of the University of British Columbia at Vancouver. Billy Graham had been invited by Dr. Philip Potter, the General Secretary of the Council, at attend and speak. Foundation Magazine Volume IV, Issue IV for 1983 records that he was unable to attend and sent the following syrupy telegram to his apostate friends:

"Dear Philip: Your gracious and generous invitation to speak twice in Vancouver was deeply appreciated. Thank you for seeing my representatives, Dr. Smyth and Dr. Haraszti. They impressed me with the importance of the opportunities which you offered me and also conveyed your personal greetings. I have tried to juggle my schedule, but it is just too heavy at this late date for me to make the drastic changes that would be necessary for me to be in Vancouver. This will be only the second general assembly of the WCC that I have had to miss. I will certainly miss seeing you and many other old friends and fellowshipping with those from all over the world. We have had 4,000 delegates coming to Amsterdam and have had to turn away 2,000 applications. There seems to be a growing grass roots desire for renewal within the church and emphasis on evangelism and service. It is my prayer that Vancouver and Amsterdam will both experience pentecostal blessings that could possibly bring the extension of the kingdom of God, in a world so filled with danger. May God grant you personally his wisdom as you lead this Sixth Assembly. Signed, Billy Graham."

Instead of sending such a telegram Dr. Graham would have done well to have sent the words of a faithful prophet addressed to another apostate in 1 Kings 13: "I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord..." Those words were less syrupy but far more pleasing in God's sight. Most prophetic scholars would agree that the WCC is busy building a church for the kingdom of Antichrist, not the kingdom of God.

The Christian News for September 9, 1991, reported that Billy Graham visited the National Council of Churches Interchurch Center in New York and met privately with National Council of Churches General Secretary Rev. Joan Campbell. On this occasion he said that he had "no problem in fellowshipping with anybody who calls Jesus Christ Lord." That sounds pious and Scriptural until one realizes most National Council of Churches personnel will say, "Jesus is Lord," without believing in His deity.

From Orthodoxy to Accommodation
Early in this chapter I suggested that Billy Graham had made a pilgrimage from orthodoxy to accommodation. We have seen accommodation of the gospel to the views of the unsaved man, accommodation to the Christ-rejecting Jewish community, accommodation to Roman Catholicism, accommodation to intellectualism at Harvard, accommodation on the issue of inerrancy, accommodation to the wild extremes of charismaticism, accommodation to worldliness, accommodation to the cesspool of Hollywood, accommodation to the primary organizations of apostasy. How can this be explained? Would not any professed servant of the Lord be embarrassed by such accommodation?

Any young pastor faces a decision early in his ministry. Is he to fix his eye on the Christ for whom he ministers, or the crowd to whom he ministers? A faithful pastor will come to the conclusion that he must fix his eye on Christ, not the crowd. It is a serious charge, but the evidence in this chapter would seem to show that Billy Graham has fixed his eye on the other alternative. He has chosen to accommodate the crowd.

Every time I expose darkness and subversion inside the Christian establishment, the hounds of hell come against me. Every time I unmask Satan's deceptive ministers of unrighteousness within the Christian Church--men who so cleverly disguise themselves as "Angels of Light" but, inside, are ravening wolves--the hounds of hell come against me. They show their ferocious mouths, and lust to tear out my flesh, rip my eyeballs from their sockets--anything to shut out the Truth!

Well, let the hounds come. I am ready for them, with Christ Jesus as my strength, because in this and next month's issues of Flashpoint, I'm going to tell the whole, unvarnished truth about several of the chief deceivers in our midst. I intend to sound the alarm and to cry aloud: "BEWARE, SAINTS OF GOD! THIS IS THE GREAT FALLING AWAY, PROPHESIED TO COME IN II THESSALONIANS 2."

I begin this month with an expose' of Billy Graham who, except for the Pope of Rome, is the chief deceiver in the world today. I intend next month to examine the most recent skullduggery of Pope John Paul II, Fidel Castro's hero and the other Mary's little messenger to the world. Then, I'll go on to take a look at some Papal underlings, like Jack Van Impe, Chuck Colson, and Hank Hanegraaf. Also, I'll be examining the latest teachings of Kenneth Hagin, the big-wig of the charismatic "Word of Faith" heresy.

But before I begin, I warn you: If you don't want to hear the truth, STOP READING NOW. No reason to have your comfort zone disturbed with facts, is there? Just throw away this newsletter. Tossing out this documentation will save you a lot of pain and grief. Then you can get on with your wooing of the world and your adoration of these big and famous names within the so-called "Christian Community."

Billy Graham Shamelessly Subverts the Faith

I've written about his heretical behavior before. Hundreds of Flashpoint readers have personally sent him copies of my newsletters revealing his ungodliness. But still, the man the Baptists and others believe to be their sterling and ecumenical "Evangelical Pope," continues down the path of depravity, refusing to repent. It's bad enough that on NBC television recently, Billy Graham flippantly excused President Bill Clinton's lewd and lascivious sexual sins by declaring that, well, the man just can't help himself. Clinton is handsome and virile, said Graham, and the girls are just "wild" over him.

The San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner called
Billy Graham the "Superman of the Cloth," noting
that the evangelist has been friend of Presidents
and was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.
It's plainly the case that Graham loves the world.
But, what does the Holy Bible say?

It's bad enough, too, that in his crusade last October in San Francisco--Sodom and Gomorrah reborn--Graham announced to the homosexuals, "Whatever your background, whatever your sexual orientation, we welcome you tonight."

Earlier, at a news conference, the famed evangelist thrilled the cockles of the homosexuals' lusty hearts when he snapped to a reporter that he was tired of people trying to get him to criticize gays. "It's not the biggest of sins," Graham said. Billy followed this up by telling the smiling and happy liberal media: "What I want to preach about in San Francisco is the love of God. People need to know that God loves them no matter what their sexual orientation." Graham also proudly confided: "I have so many gay friends, and we remain friends."

Billy Graham "brings people together"

They--the gays and Billy Graham--do, indeed, remain friends. According to the San Francisco Chronicle & Examiner (October 10, 1997), after hearing Graham's latest milktoast sermon, Brian Jackie, a gay San Francisco Catholic, praised the evangelist. "Graham is a man of integrity," said Jackie, adding that Billy Graham always has a "positive message." Jackie's friend, the Reverend Bill Byrd, homosexual pastor of the San Francisco Evangelical Gay Church, heartily agreed. "I have no problem with Graham's preaching," said the Reverend Byrd, "Billy Graham brings people together."

Brings people together? Yes, Billy Graham does do that--he brings the sinful tares together as one into a huge heap, ready to be burned and destroyed by the dreadful, consuming fire of the Lord at the Great White Throne Judgment. And that's exactly where Billy will be too, unless he repents. He will end up kneeling in fear before his Master, trying to con and bribe God, and bragging, "Look at all the terrific things I did in your name, Lord. I filled stadiums and wowed the public, preaching tolerance and love and Christ all together. Even the lesbians and homos loved me. I was a registered Democrat Party voter. Five Presidents of the United States invited me to stay over at the White House. Lord... Oh Lord, aren't you listening to me? Don't you remember? I was once voted in a poll as the world's most admired man. You know me, don't you? I'm Billy Frank Graham!"

Indeed, Billy Graham is possibly the world's most admired man--next to his pals Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II, that is. And what the popular evangelist taught on May 31, 1997, on the Reverend Robert Schuller's worldwide TV program, has no doubt endeared Mr. Graham even more to people everywhere--especially to Hindus, Buddhist, Moslems, witches, tribalists, and other false religionists.

I have personally obtained from Schuller's Crystal Cathedral Church a video and an audio-tape of Billy Graham's interview. Get ready, Christian friends, because you are about to read the exact words of Graham and Schuller, blasphemous and wicked to the hilt. As you shall see, these are not the words of brokenhearted pastors concerned about saving the souls of the lost and eager to fulfill the Great Commission and preach Jesus crucified and Him alone. These are, instead, the lying words of vile, deceitful devils.

The Infamous May 31, 1997 Interview: Graham and Schuller

The Reverend Robert
Schuller of
California's Crystal
Cathedral interviewed
Billy Graham.

Robert Schuller: "Tell me, what do you think of the future of Christianity?"
Billy Graham: "I think everybody who knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ...God's purpose is to call out a people for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, Buddhist world, the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus...and I think they are saved, and that they are going to be in heaven with us."
Robert Schuller (overjoyed): "What I hear you saying is that it's possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life even if they've been born into darkness and never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you are saying?"
Billy Graham: "Yes it is, because I believe that. I've met people in various parts of the world...that have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they've believed in their hearts that there was a God."

So, there you have it. The world's most famous evangelist teaches that no one needs Jesus to be saved and enter the Kingdom of Heaven. They're already members of the Body of Christ whether they know it or not! All they have to do is believe in a God--like one of the three million Hindu gods; or perhaps the man-god whom many Buddhists worship, the Dalai Lama; or the Moslem's Allah; or perhaps the Cosmic God of the evolutionists; or the witches' horned god, Pan; or perhaps all that people must do is believe in the New Age deity--themselves--as God!

Frankly, if Graham is right, isn't it time we just folded our tents and stopped all this foolishness of preaching? Why print Christian Bibles if the Hindu or Buddhist scriptures will suffice? If Billy Graham is right, we are certainly blowing millions of dollars on missionaries.
In fact, I can't understand why Graham himself is still going on stage to perform. Is it all ego and pretense? Why doesn't Billy just have his aides purchase a blaring, gaudy, and colorful message on thousands of billboards across the globe, declaring: "Attention Pagans, Heathens, and other Religionists: Whether you know it or not, you already have Christ within. Congratulations--you're on your way to heaven!"--signed, Yours Sincerely, Billy Graham, world-famous Christian evangelist.

Or maybe this for a billboard message: "So you don't know Jesus as Lord and have never read the Bible? Big Deal! Don't worry, be happy. You are already a Christian headed for heaven, whether you know it or not! So eat, drink, and be merry. Guess what?--You're already a member of the Body of Christ, just like me. Neat surprise, huh?" signed, With All My Love, Billy Graham.

How many thousands of sinners are going to split hell wide open, simply because they listened to that velvety-tongued apostle of ecumenicism, Billy Graham, who assures the lost, "Just believe in a God, any God, and you've made it. Jesus loves and accepts you just as you are, no need to repent and believe in the name of Jesus."

Oh yeah? Well, God's Word begs to differ. The Word says that if you believe in one God, "Thou doest well, the devils also believe and tremble." (James 2:19)

That's right. James, the brother of Jesus, told us the devils do even better than Billy Graham, Robert Schuller, and all their associates in lying. The devils actually believe in just one God, Jesus Christ! The devils know that the Hindu god, Krishna, the Moslem god, Allah, and all the other false gods have never saved one, single human soul! This is more than Billy Graham knows and teaches.

The Apostle Paul wrote that there is salvation in no other name: "For there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

The Bible says that the Buddhist, the Hindu, the Moslem, the African witchdoctor, are not saved because they have never called on His Holy Name: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

These lost souls need Jesus, but Billy Graham lies to these millions of unsaved people headed for hell. He soothingly tells them they don't need the Bible, and don't need to be born again in Christ. They can continue to bow down to their wooden idols, to their statues and icons, and to their devils made of molten steel and clay. But, hold on: John 5:12 reveals: "He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."

Thus we know that Billy Graham is a walking dead man, and all who believe in his wicked, foul message sadly remain foot soldiers in the legion of the dead. They are of the world and are dead to the Truth. But you, my friends, you who know Jesus Christ, you who contend earnestly for the faith and who refuse to accept a counterfeit Gospel--YOU ARE ALIVE AND CANNOT BE DECEIVED. YOU HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS OUR LORD: "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God." (I John 5:12)

What are we to do about Billy Graham? Be wary now, as you ponder this question, because the hounds of hell are even now at your door. Go against Billy and his foolish fables and abominable heresies, and they'll bare their fangs and pounce on you with full force. Nevertheless, what can a saved, Christian man and woman do but obey the Word of God?

The Word commands us to stay away from he who, like Billy Graham, would pervert the doctrine of Christ Jesus and subvert the Gospel: "If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed. For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds" (II John vs 10-11).

Go against Billy Graham and his ilk, and the world will quickly turn against you. Even your pastor and your church friends will probably frown upon and disown you. Some will become as the hounds of hell, and they will seek to tear you to shreds.

Still, Billy Graham, having been admonished repeatedly, yet persisting in his lies, is a proven heretic. Of such, the Word of God commands: "A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject, knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself." (Titus 3:10-11)

Finally, consider this: The Billy Grahams, the Schullers, and other deceivers now are having what they mistakenly think to be their day in the sun. The world hates and despises the truth-tellers but loves and receives its own. Jesus said of false teachers and lovers of the world: "They have their reward."

The body of man, however, is corrupt and soon withers like the once lush but brown and crumbling blades of grass. Man's riches and admiration are fleeting, and the pleasures of the flesh are but a phantom of man's unreliable imaginations.

But the Word of the Lord--how exalted, how magnificent, how life-giving! Follow its dictates and its counsel, and you will never be disappointed. The Word of Truth is not corruptible; It builds and grows. The Word was and is: "But the Word of the Lord endureth forever... "(I Peter 1:25). And Who is that Word? None other than Jesus, the name above all other names.

Error does not become Truth because it is widely accepted; Truth does not become error, even when it stands alone.

by Steve Lumbley, Apostasy Watch!

I have hesitated for a long time to place Billy Graham in my hall of heretics but after reading the reports of Graham’s latest crusade in Los Angeles, the evidence is overwhelming. Billy Graham preaches a false gospel.

Graham has long been held to be the greatest evangelist of our age. He claims to have preached to more people in live audiences, over 210 million, than any person in history. His official biography claims that since 1949 he has led “hundreds of thousands of individuals to make personal decisions to live for Christ…”

This was the thrust of the reports from his most recent Los Angeles crusade. A headline in the BP News proclaimed.

“2,500 make decisions for Christ during first night of Los Angeles Billy Graham Crusade”

The article states that Graham “centered his 30-minute message on the Passion and the meaning of the cross. He referred several times to Mel Gibson's hit movie "The Passion of the Christ" from earlier this year focusing at one point on the scene that depicts Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.”

"Tears are coming down His cheek and He says to God, 'Father, take this cup from me, but not my will but your will be done,'" Graham said. "Then He looks in the cup. What did He see in the cup? He sees the sins of the whole world."

What Graham is preaching here is not the gospel. It’s not even the word of God. What he’s doing is adding to the word of God which is prohibited throughout scripture.

Prov 30:6
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Jesus did not have a physical cup when he was in the garden of Gethsemane. The cup he referred to was figurative. Since he didn’t have a physical cup he could not have looked into it to “see the sins of the world”

Mark 14:36
And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Some may say that adding a little bit to God’s word is no big deal. After all, he was just making a point, what’s the harm? God says it is a big deal.

Deut 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Adding to God’s word brings a curse upon the speaker and the hearer. It shows clearly how little respect Graham has for God’s word and his commandments. Billy Graham obviously thinks that God’s word alone is not enough to convince people of sin righteousness and judgment.

Decisions for Christ

Do people really make “decisions for Christ”? The bible actually teaches the opposite of this. To tell someone that they can make a “decision to live for Christ” is one of the hallmarks of the false gospel of this age. Jesus says we did not choose him, he chose us.

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit,…..

Not one person on the face of the earth has ever sought God. Not one of us ever desired to know God without God placing that desire in our hearts. To tell someone otherwise is a false gospel. It flatters the sinner. It allows that person to play a part in his own salvation. This is heresy!

Psa 14:2-3
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

We have no part to play in our salvation. God chooses us and He places a desire in us to know Him. He exposes our sin and He grants repentance from sin. Man is absolutely incapable of repentance apart from God’s willingness to grant it.Is 65:1

I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

Furthermore, nowhere in scripture are we instructed to “live for Christ”. Again, this is the opposite of what Jesus taught. We cannot live for him, we can only die to self and allow Christ to live through us.

Gal 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Jesus said if we want to follow him we must lay down our lives and take up the cross.

Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

If you attempt to live for him you will fail. If you die to self you will live.

Math 16:25
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it

Honored Among Men

Billy Graham has become little more than a Christianized version of a modern movie star or celebrity. A quote from the article in BP News is typical.

Larry Williams of First Baptist Church in Culver City said he had been watching Billy Graham on television since he was five years old and was excited to finally see him in person. "It was awesome," Williams said. "I can't tell you how many times I have seen him on television, but it is nothing like seeing him in person."

A true man of God would refuse to accept this type of hero worship but Graham does nothing to diminish it. Throughout scripture, God’s servants refused to accept the worship of men.

Acts 10:25-26
And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

Graham is also not shy about touting the many honors he has received over the years.

Recognitions include the Congressional Gold Medal (1996); the Speaker of the Year Award (1964); the Templeton Foundation Prize for Progress in Religion (1982); the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation Freedom Award (2000) the Big Brother Award (1966), cited by the George Washington Carver Memorial Institute (1964), recognized by the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith (1969) and the National Conference of Christians and Jews (1971), presented with an honorary knighthood, Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) (Dec 2001)….

Far from commending Graham, the above references actually condemn him. God’s word says these kinds of accolades from the world are the mark of a false prophet.

Luke 6:26
Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Mr. Graham is regularly listed by the Gallup organization as one of the “Ten Most Admired Men in the World,” whom it described as the dominant figure in that poll since 1948–making an unparalleled 46th appearance and 39th consecutive appearance. He has also appeared on the covers of Time, Newsweek, Life, U.S. News and World Report, Parade, and numerous other magazines and has been the subject of many newspaper and magazine feature articles and books.

John 15:19

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Since the world obviously loves Billy Graham we must conclude based on God’s word that Graham is not a man of God but is rather a man of the world.

There are many more things that could be said about Billy Graham. He has always been ecumenical in his beliefs. He has never separated himself from the false doctrines of Roman Catholicism. In fact he has openly co-operated with the Catholic church in all his crusades for decades even going so far as to send “converts” back to a Catholic church if they claimed a Catholic background or upbringing.

In recent years, Graham has become almost a universalist in his beliefs. In a 1997 interview with the false teacher Robert Schuller, Graham made the following statement.

”…..I've met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they've believed in their hearts that there was a God, and they've tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived.”

Math 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

The gods of Dalai Lama and Mother Teresa

William Cody Bateman

“And think of the long-suffering of our Lord as salvation (as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction). Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” II Peter 3:15-18

Who is the Dalai Lama and what is he all about? And why should TBC even consider this Tibetan Buddhist "holy man," whom Time magazine selected to top its list of the 100 most-influential people in the world today? Well, he is a religious figure who has captured the interest-and in many cases the hearts-of millions of people, including multitudes who profess to be evangelicals. It is the latter group’s involvement that is most disturbing and adds impetus to our need to examine his beliefs. An attraction to religious "celebrities" with false beliefs is not something new among evangelicals, especially as we see apostasy growing exponentially and ecumenical developments taking place that will eventually usher in the one-world religion of the Antichrist (Revelation 13:. Here are a few recent examples.

When we addressed our concerns about Mother Teresa in past TBC articles and columns, we received numerous letters objecting to our "attacking such a godly woman who loves Jesus." Simply put, the Jesus whom Mother Teresa professed to love is not the biblical Jesus. John MacArthur discerned that clearly when he visited her in Calcutta. Surrounded by images of Hindu deities hanging on the walls of her facility for ministering to the sick and dying, she signed a Bible for MacArthur that reflected her deep yet erroneous Catholic beliefs: "May you enter into the heart of Jesus through the Virgin Mary…."

The Catholic Virgin Mary is the doorway to the Catholic Jesus. This "Jesus" is reduced to an infant when appearing in Marian apparitions, a Jesus who did not pay the full penalty for the sins of mankind, who continues to be sacrificed daily upon millions of Catholic altars, whose body, soul, and divinity are transubstantiated into a piece of bread (which is then ingested by more than a billion Catholic faithful in order for them to grow in holiness and merit heaven), a Jesus who is worshiped as a fragment of bread at Eucharistic Holy Hour ceremonies. These are only a few of the teachings that characterize the Jesus of the Church of Rome as clearly "another Jesus" (2 Corinthians 11:4). Mother Teresa’s beliefs also reject the words of the biblical Jesus, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

On the contrary, she said:

“We never try to convert to Christianity those who receive our help, but in our work we bear witness to the love of God’s presence and if Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, or agnostics become for this better men-simply better-we will be satisfied. (Life in the Spirit: Reflections, Meditations and Prayers, pp. 81-82)

If in coming face to face with God we accept Him in our lives, then we are converting. We become a better Hindu, a better Muslim, a better Catholic, a better whatever we are….What God is in your mind you must accept.” (Mother Teresa: Her People and Her Work, p. 156)

It came as no surprise that “Christianity Today” applauded her future sainthood.

Pope John Paul II was also a spiritual icon for many evangelicals. The accolades that poured forth from conservative Christian individuals, ministries, and organizations were stunning (see "Death of a Pope," TBC 5/05 ). It was as though no thought was given to the gospel, or, more pointedly, the fallacious gospel that the pope championed. Of course, many evangelical leaders over the past three decades have worked overtime to diffuse and confuse the critical differences between Rome’s false salvation and belief in the biblical gospel, without which no one can be saved.

For example, Pat Robertson, in paying homage to the deceased pontiff, said that:

"the most beloved religious leader of our age [has passed] from this world to his much deserved eternal reward."

On what basis? Certainly not by the religious system of works that he headed up. The names and organizations (which we have documented over the years) involved in this subversion of biblical truth in favor of Roman Catholicism are a shameful evangelical “Who’s Who” list:

Charles Colson, J. I. Packer, Rick Warren, John Hagee, Hank Hanegraaff, Bill Bright, Richard Land, Timothy George, Richard Foster, Wheaton College, InterVarsity Fellowship, NavPress, Zondervan, Campus Crusade, Charisma magazine, and Christian Research Journal.

Billy Graham had nothing but praise for his long-time friend John Paul II and in particular for "his strong Catholic faith." Furthermore, he declared that there were no essential disagreements between them theologically. One of the "essentials" of the pope’s life was his total dedication to "Mary, the Queen of Heaven," in whom he put his hope for salvation. Graham was certainly aware of his friend’s vain commitment to Mary. Even more puzzling, however, is the fact that early in his ministry Graham denounced Catholicism along with Communism and Islam as three of the world’s greatest evils. What changed? Certainly not Roman Catholicism. Yet, in a shocking turnaround, Graham’s crusades began to be promoted and financially supported by the Catholic Church-including being staffed by nuns and priests as counselors, a practice that still continues today. Christianity Today, which Graham founded, has been without doubt the most persuasive vehicle in undermining critical doctrinal differences between evangelicals and Catholics, as it has long fostered the mutual acceptance of one another as "brothers and sisters in Christ."

What, then, of today’s most honored religious figure, Tenzin Gyatso, the self-proclaimed reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama (meaning "oceans of wisdom"), who preceded him? Pope John Paul II gave him center stage in 1986 when he gathered world religious leaders to Assisi, Italy, to pray for world peace. Astonishing many Catholics, the pope allowed the Dalai Lama and his monks to perform their prayer ritual before a statue of Buddha placed upon the altar at the church of St. Peter at Assisi. It certainly confused those who understood that Tibetan Buddhists do not believe in God. So to whom was the Dalai Lama praying? We’ll get to that momentarily.

We’re told that Tibetan Buddhism may be beyond the ability of the Western mind to understand. That’s an understatement: its utter complexity, contradictions, and confusion have no geographical boundaries. Nevertheless, Tibetan Buddhism contains a number of beliefs that correlate with false religions in the West. Its ancient history involves shades of Darwinism. Frescoes in the oldest monastery and throughout the country illustrate the belief still held by many today that the origin of the Tibetan people resulted from the mating of a god-like ape with an ogress, a female monster. The simian offspring of that union eventually evolved into the ancient Tibetans.

Tibetan Buddhism itself is a complicated mixture of Bon, which consists of animist and shamanic beliefs and practices, and Buddhism. Fusing the two defies any sense of congruity, and rationalizations vary widely depending upon one’s bias toward spirit-driven Bon beliefs or the more philosophical concepts of Buddhism. For example, the Dalai Lama once remarked to a Catholic priest that the chief difference between their beliefs was that he as a Buddhist did not believe in a personal God. On the other hand, as a Tibetan Buddhist, he believes in personal deities and spirits-and lots of them. This is more than evident as he travels the world inducting hundreds of thousands (including thousands in U.S. cities) into the “Kalachakra Tantra Initiation.”

Kalachakra is both a Tantric deity and a meditation practice; the former is a manifestation of Buddha, who is called upon to lead the initiate into becoming a bodhisattva, or enlightened god, a status claimed for the Dalai Lama.

Note what takes place in this 12-day Kalachakra Initiation ceremony. Monks create a sand mandala seven feet in diameter, which becomes home to 722 gods and goddesses during the ritual. From his throne, the Dalai Lama, as the master of the initiation, asks permission to begin the ritual from Tenma, the supreme earth spirit who rules over the local spirits. Not all the spirits want to cooperate and must be placated by the monks through chanting, dancing, and the sounds of bells, gongs, and horns. The Dalai Lama then makes an offering to the spirits to thank them for their assistance. On the tenth day, he invokes the god Kalachakra to open the eyes of the initiates, who have taken vows never to reveal the secret teachings. The experience is described as being "reborn" as the participants enter into Kalachakra’s universe of enlightenment. At the closing, the Dalai conveys his gratitude to the gods and goddesses for their participation and bids them return to their sacred homes.1

This man with the winning smile is a shaman. He refers to himself as a simple monk, although we’re told he is a god-king, and he, like the pope, is to be addressed as "His Holiness."

He mediates between humans and spirit beings, of which there are a multitude of varieties, from those who are considered helpful, to those who are unspeakably evil and malicious. The life of the average Tibetan is one of continually seeking rituals of appeasement directed at these nonphysical beings who play havoc with them by bringing about sickness, poverty, crop failure, livestock deaths, ignorance, possession, insanity, and so forth.

No matter what philosophical or psychological spin the Dalai Lama puts on his theology and practices for his American audiences, the Bible clearly teaches that he is trafficking with demons and "the god of this world," Satan himself (2 Corinthians 4:4).

As with his fellow Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Mother Teresa (TBC, 3/87 ; 7/90 ; 5/94 ;5/95 ), closer scrutiny of his life shatters what most people naïvely presume about his beliefs and practices. Candid interviews with Tibetans now living under a repressive Communist regime acknowledge that they nevertheless have more freedom and opportunities now than when they were under the theocratic feudal system controlled by the god-kings and their monks and priests. Critics of the Dalai Lama have raised substantial questions, implying that what he is communicating to the West is at great odds with his traditional religion. This religion includes urging holy wars between Buddhists and non-Buddhists; regarding Christianity, Judaism, and particularly Islam as enemies of Tibetan Buddhism; the establishment of a global Buddhist theocracy under a world ruler; and the sexual abuse of young women in tantric rituals.2

The Dalai Lama appears to be oblivious to all of the above. He is also highly selective regarding what he will share with different audiences about his spiritual teachings, e.g., his religious instruction to achieve enlightenment through tantric meditation and his shamanic rituals for invoking help from deities and keeping demons at bay.

Recently in Seattle, at the five-day Seeds of Compassion Conference, he taught audiences how to become more compassionate. Billed as an educational event for instructing children and supported by insights from child psychologists, his message was simple: people must change their thinking and actions and cultivate inner strength. Could it be that the self-help approach works better in the West than this shaman’s usual rituals invoking help from the spirit realm?

The event drew nearly 150,000 people (including 15,000 school children), many of whom no doubt were so enamored with the global religious figure that they will likely pursue the Dalai’s deeper religious teachings for achieving the virtue of compassion.

He is the number one evangelist for Buddhism in the world today, and he’s gaining support from professing Christian leaders worldwide, including conference participants Archbishop (and arch-heretic) Desmond Tutu and Emerging Church leaders Doug Pagitt and Rob Bell. This ecumenism is consistent with liberal theology and with the pervasive emergent doctrine that we can learn much from other religions about Christ and the gospel.

As stated at the beginning of this article, the apostate church and religion that will be led by the Antichrist is in full development. It will accommodate every religious belief system in the world other than biblical Christianity.

Though some religions appear to be quite different from others, upon closer inspection they often reveal similarities that will help draw them together. We previously noted the shared characteristics between Catholicism and Islam (see "Catholicism and Islam: Ties That Bind," 11/02 ).

Tibetan Buddhism and Roman Catholicism also have much in common. They each have clerical hierarchies, they have celibate priests and nuns, they both pray to dead entities (spirits, deities, or saints) for assistance, they use prayer beads and offer repetitious prayers, and both employ relics of the dead and sacred rituals as a key for achieving spiritual goals. Most striking, however, is the extremely popular goddess of Tibetan Buddhism, Tara. She is described in various Buddhist teachings in terms much akin to the Catholic Mary: she is the Mother of the Buddhas, she is a saviouress, she hears the cries of those in misery and is a more approachable deity to whom the laity have direct access, she guards her devotees as she leads them to enlightenment, and she also appears to them in apparitions. Tara is a bodhisattva, a supreme goddess, whose principal attribute is compassion and who is the primary resource in imparting that virtue to humans. One might wonder why "His Holiness" failed to recommend his chief "deity of Compassion" to assist his audiences at the Seeds of Compassion Conference.

Yet considering their many differences, all the religions of the world (excepting biblical Christianity, which is not a religion) share a very foundational principle: salvation (or its equivalent, e.g., nirvana, paradise, moksha, the higher afterlife, etc.) is attained through human achievement.

This is apparent in all the varied attempts to satisfy, placate, appease, mollify, become one with, or reach God, Brahman, Allah, the gods, the goddesses, the Queen of Heaven, the Force, the Universal Mind, etc.

The various endeavors for attaining salvation include sacrifices, following karmic laws, yoga meditation, church attendance, obeying rules or keeping commandments, observing sacraments, secret rituals, liturgies, being a good person by doing more good than evil, and so forth. None of these pursuits can add one iota to obtaining a person’s salvation, according to the Bible. Furthermore, they all reject the absolute truth that Jesus Christ alone provided salvation to all mankind by doing what only the perfect, sinless God-Man could accomplish. He satisfied God’s perfect justice by paying the complete penalty for every sin of mankind. There is nothing anyone can do for salvation except receive our Savior’s unfathomable gift of eternal life with Him by grace, through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

As Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, declared: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Pray that those attracted to the smiling monk will heed Peter’s sober warning

Graham has been teaching false doctrine for a while now. When one is an apostate it is because they always were one. We are in the end times, my dear, and the true blood bought church of Jesus Christ needs to know whats happening with all these false teachers every where one turns. The spirit of error is every where and the deception is so rampant that if it were possible even Gods elect would be deceived. Know why they will not? The power of God!

If one is of the truth then they hear the truth! Gods word is above mans word...PERIOD!!!!!

WILLIAM FRANKLIN GRAHAM, JR., was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 7, 1918. He entered the ministry in 1943 and soon thereafter began conducting evangelistic Crusades. In 1950, he founded The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which has sponsored Crusades and produced radio and television programs as well as films. Dr. Graham is the author of more than a dozen books.

I. His Enmity With God

Graham has "reached more than 200 million people in person, and millions more have heard him on radio, television, and film" (ibid. inside front dust jacket) Graham is "Hailed as the world's preacher" (ibid.) and "one of the world's most beloved and respected leaders" (ibid., inside back dust jacket). If Graham was a man of God, the world would not love him so.

The Bible teaches that those who are Christ's will be hated by the world (1 John 3:13; 2 Timothy 3:12; John 17:14). But Graham is of the world (1 John 4:5; 5:19), and therefore "beloved and respected." Jesus said to his disciples,

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. (John 15:19)

Billy Graham is not hated by the world, but rather, by the admission of his own book, he is "beloved and respected" by the world, and "Hailed as the world's preacher." This alone is a mark of a false teacher. As Luke 6:26 says,

Woe to you when men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false prophets

Mr. Graham is not a false prophet (because he is not a prophet), but he is a false teacher. He is not a real Christian, but a false one, and is an enemy of God (James 4:4). This was illustrated in an interview with Larry King on 6-16-05:

KING: Are you forgiving of the infirmities of other people?

GRAHAM: Absolutely. I am. I mean, I . . .

KING: Isn't that hard?

GRAHAM: . . . try to forgive. I never hold a grudge. In fact, many people say that I never get angry. I don't think I get angry. But maybe I do sometimes, but I keep it. I don't explode to anybody.

KING: Do you feel the same about other faiths?

GRAHAM: Absolutely.

KING: Buddhism?

GRAHAM: I love them all, and welcome them all, and love to be with them, and friends with all of them. For example, I just talked to a man in New York City, he was a Mormon.

KING: My father-in-law.

GRAHAM: Your father-in-law. And I've loved the Mormons for years, and yet there is a big divide between the Mormons and some of the other groups. But I have great friends among the Mormons. And the same among the Catholics. Of course, I loved Pope John Paul II and watched the whole process of his suffering, his dying and the tremendous -- my daughter went to represent me . . .

KING: I know. You were on with us the night he died.

GRAHAM: That's right. Thank you.

KING: But what about those faiths -- the Mormons and the others that you mentioned -- believe in Christ. They believe they will meet Christ. What about those like the Jews, the Muslims, who don't believe as you believe.

GRAHAM: That's in God's hands. I can't be their judge.

KING: You don't judge them?

GRAHAM: No. No, I don't say you're going to hell, and you're, oh, I don't.

Graham doesn't judge them, because he is not a spiritual man (1 Corinthians 2:15) and he does not believe Jesus Christ who said,

No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6).

Also, Graham's friendship with people of false religions (Mormons, Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists), also reveals Graham's Satanic connection, as James 4:4 says,

Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (see also 2 Chronicles 19:2; Psalm 15:4; 31:6)

Graham has made himself an enemy of God and is therefore at enmity with Him.

Immediately after Graham's statement above, Larry King asks,

How do you feel when you see a lot of these strong Christian leaders go on television and say, you are condemned, you will live in hell if you do not accept Jesus Christ, and they are forceful and judgmental?

GRAHAM: Well, they have a right to say that, and they are true to a certain extent, but I don't -- that's not my calling.

Graham says, "that's not my calling," because he does not believe the gospel; that is, that you will indeed go to hell and suffer eternal torment if you do not receive Jesus Christ (Revelation 21:.

II. HIS ABORTIONS

Graham believes in the killing of babies. In The Billy Graham Christian Worker's Handbook (copyright 1997 edition) it says,

Billy Graham writes: "We should accept abortion in these cases: or incest or if the delivery of the child is a threat to a mother's life." (p. 19, bold added, hard copy on file, see also BGEA's email concerning this statement)

In the 1996 copyright revised 2001 edition it says,

Even sincere Christians may differ on whether or not abortion is ever justified, especially in difficult situations such as or incest, or when tests reveal that the unborn child has severe abnormalities. (The Billy Graham Christian Worker's Handbook, p. 21)

This is absolutely horrid! God says, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13). Killing an unborn child is murder no matter how the child was conceived ( or incest) or what abnormalities he or she may have (see Exodus 21:22-23 "life for life"). The Lord makes the mute, the deaf, and the blind (Exodus 4:11), and it is cruel hatred and murder to kill them.

III. HIS FALSE GOD

In Graham's book, Facing Death And The Life After (copyright 1987), Graham writes,

"Many people are deceived by Satan into thinking that God is a vengeful taskmaster, ready to send to hell all those who offend Him. They can see no hope. True, God does hate sin, but He loves the sinner." (p. 217, bold added)

What Graham calls Satanic, is actually the teaching of the Bible! The God of the Bible is "a vengeful taskmaster, ready to send to hell all those who offend Him." Please note Matthew 24:45-51 and Psalm 50:22-23.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:45-51)

Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver: Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God. (Psalm 50:22-23; please see also Matthew 22:1-14 & Revelation 19-9; Luke 13:23-27; 1 Peter 4:17-1

Please note also Romans 12:19 which says, "Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord." (See also Deuteronomy 32:39-41; Psalm 94:1; Isaiah 1:24; Nahum 1:2; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; Hebrews 10:30; Jude 7.)

The God of the Bible is indeed "ready to send to hell all those who offend Him." Please note Matthew 5:22.

But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. (See also Psalm 7:11-13.)

A similar example of Graham's false god (not the God of the Bible) can be found in his book, Answers To Life's Problems (copyright 198. On page 130, a wicked person asks,

I know God is mad at me because of the way I have been living. How can I get him back on my side? My life is on a deadend road unless I change, I know, but how can I win God's approval when I have so many bad things against me?

Part of Graham's answer is, "God is on your side. God is not mad at you, but at your sin." (p. 131) The god Graham describes here is not the God of the Bible! For the God of the Bible says, "God is angry with the wicked every day." (Psalm 7:11; see also Psalm 5:5-6; 11:5-6; Ephesians 2:1-3, "children of wrath")

IV. HIS FALSE GOSPEL

In Graham's book, Unto the Hills (copyright 1986), Graham writes,

Man has two great spiritual needs. One is forgiveness. The other is for goodness. Consciously or unconsciously, his inner being longs for both. (p. 234)

It is a lie to say that man "longs" for "goodness", because Scripture says, "An evil man seeks only rebellion;" (Proverbs 17:11), and "The soul of the wicked desires evil;" (Proverbs 21:10). Graham's statement above is the exact opposite of Paul's gospel in Romans 3:11-12 which says, "There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one." To long for goodness would be doing something which is good. Men without God do no good (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:12).

In Graham's book, Answers To Life's Problems, on page 62 Graham writes,

Inside each one of us there is a hunger for God. We may not recognize it, but each of us senses emptiness and a hunger for something. I suspect that your son has been looking for something to fill that spiritual void in his life, and if he has found Christ his spiritual emptiness has been met.

Wicked men do not "hunger for God" (see Psalm 10:3-4)! There is no spiritual emptiness to fill! Scripture never speaks of any such "spiritual void" or "emptiness." Instead, it says that, "they are filled with all unrighteousness" (Romans 1:29), and their hearts "are full of evil" (Ecclesiastes 9:3). Ephesians 2:2 says of those who do not know Christ that "the prince of the power of the air" is the spirit who "now works in the sons of disobedience." In other words, an evil spirit works in those who are without Christ. There is no emptiness. There is a wicked spirit there doing his evil work.

Graham's gospel is just the opposite of God's. God's gospel describes man as utterly lost with no desire for God whatsoever (apart from the work of God, John 6:44; Romans 1:16-32; 3:10-1. Graham's gospel describes man as one who actually hungers for God, which flatters the sinner (Romans 16:1 and is a lie.

Another example of this can be found on page 220-221 in Answers To Life's Problems where Graham responds to a person who says they "feel empty inside".

. . . when we leave God out of our lives, it leaves a blank or empty space that nothing can fully fill. No matter how hard we try or what means we use - material possessions, money, pleasure, drugs, or whatever - the emptiness is still there.

Scripture says no such thing.

In Graham's book, The Challenge, Sermons From Madison Square Garden (copyright 1969), Graham says,

You see, all of us are really on a quest for truth. What is the truth about myself? Where did I come from? Why in the world did God ever put us on this planet, if there is a God? Some ask. And where are we going? Is there a life after death? I'm searching for answers. All of us are, consciously or unconsciously. We ask ourselves these questions. "What is truth?" The same question Pilate asked two thousand years ago.

And that's why a lot of these kids are taking LSD and mind-expansion psychedelic drugs. They're trying to find some experiences that will lead them into some sort of a spiritual truth. (p. 93, bold added)

Graham lies when he says, "all of us are really on a quest for truth." Romans chapter one says just the opposite. Speaking of mankind, Paul says that they "exchanged the truth of God for the lie" (Romans 1:25). Men reject the truth, and are not on a quest for it (John 3:19-21)!

Also, in the bold section above, Graham turns a "quest for the truth" (which is good) into something which results in evil doing! This is not only unbiblical (Romans 1:18, "who suppress the truth"), it is the exact opposite of the Word of God. The reason men do evil is because they have rejected the truth, and God has given them a debased mind to do evil (please see Romans 1:28-32).

Consistent with Graham's denial of Romans chapter one, is his statement at the memorial service for the victims of the 1995 Oklahoma bombing. In Just As I Am Graham records,

I spoke also to the assembled crowd - one of the most difficult things I have done in my life - telling them frankly that I did not understand why God allowed things like this to happen. Our knowledge is limited, I pointed out, and there are some things we will never understand this side of eternity. I reminded them, however, that even though we do not understand, God does not change. He is still the God of love and mercy; and in the midst of our sorrow and pain, we can turn to Him in faith and trust. (p. 654)

Indeed, God is a God of love and mercy, but He is also a God of wrath. The reason Graham "did not understand why God allowed things like this to happen", is because Graham does not believe the Bible. Romans 1:18 gives the reason "things like this happen." "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men." (Romans 1:1. God is angry (Psalm 7:11) and He kills the ungodly (Deuteronomy 32:39-41; 1 Samuel 2:6; Luke 12:4-5), as Luke 13:1-3 exemplifies.

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

In Luke 13:1-3, God killed those people (Deuteronomy 32:39; 1 Samuel 2:6; Isaiah 45; Lamentations 3:37-38; Amos 3:6; Romans 1:1, and Christ warns those still living, "Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." Instead of being like Christ and giving that assembled crowd in Oklahoma a similar warning, Graham speaks great swelling words of emptiness (2 Peter 2:1, scratches their ears (2 Timothy 4:3), and says that he "did not understand why God allowed things like this to happen." What foolishness! God not only "allowed" this Oklahoma bombing to happen, He caused it to happen (Romans 11:36; 1:1! Graham had a perfect opportunity to preach the true gospel to these people and call them to true repentance, but instead, Graham gave them nothing for their souls. He left them just as dry as they came, because he himself is a "well without water" (2 Peter 2:17).

Another example of Graham's false gospel can be found on page 228 of Answers To Life's Problems. Here, Graham's falsehood is manifested by the fact that Graham does not believe Christ is enough to save a person from the power of the sin of homosexuality (contrary, of course, to John 8:31-36).

I am a homosexual. I have tried to conquer it and have prayed to God time after time, but nothing changes. I desperately want to deal with it, but I don't know what to do. Please help me.

Graham says that homosexuality is wrong, and then writes,

There are steps that are crucial for you to follow if you are ever to conquer this. First, if you have never asked Christ to come into your life I urge you to do so without delay. . . .

Then get help from others for your problem. Don't be afraid to seek help or to share your problem in confidence with someone you can trust who also can help you. There may be many complex reasons for your homosexual tendencies, and a skilled pastor can probably point you to a Christian psychologist or psychiatrist who has had experience in dealing with others who have been in your situation. Such a person can help you understand yourself and why you have become the person you are, and will also help you - both emotionally and spiritually - to leave your old way of living and become the person Christ wants you to be.

Graham's answer is filled with psychology (the wisdom of the world, 1 Corinthians 1:20). With Graham's "Then get help from others . . ." he denies the power of the Savior (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Also, he speaks of the "many complex reasons" for this person's "homosexual tendencies". Scripture gives one simple reason for homosexual tendencies - a rejection of God (Romans 1:18-27). Homosexuality is not a complex issue. Finally, Graham's advice to see a psychologist or psychiatrist is antichrist counsel (see Colossians 2:8-10 & 2 John 7).

V. His False Teaching On Suicide

Graham is asked,

My cousin had very serious emotional problems most of her life, and finally they overwhelmed her and she committed suicide. I firmly believe she was a Christian, but did she lose her salvation by doing this? Is suicide the unpardonable sin? - Mrs. W.L.

In the third paragraph of Graham's answer he says,

Suicide is always a tragedy - but in itself it is not the unpardonable sin. The only sin God cannot pardon is the sin of rejecting Him. God knew your cousin's heart, and He also knows that mental illness sometimes clouds a person's judgment so much that they aren't fully responsible for their actions.

In other words, it's possible she went to heaven, according to Graham.

In Answers To Life's Problems the question is asked,

A friend told us you said in a column that God would not save a person who committed suicide, no matter what the circumstances were. Our son suffered from a terrible mental problem for years and eventually committed suicide, although I really believe he knew God. What is the basis of your position? (p. 207)

Graham responds with, "This is not my position," and goes on to explain his position. After declaring suicide is wrong, he writes,

But there also are situations when a person may not understand what he is doing because of mental disability, as in the case of your son.

Graham then quotes Psalm 103:13-14 and Romans 8:38-39 wrongly applying these verses to their wicked son, and at the end of his response, Graham concludes,

But take comfort in God's grace as you remember your son - and seek to live for Christ every day.
Here Graham turns the grace of God into lewdness (Jude 4). First of all, no one with such a deranged mind knows God (Isaiah 26:3; Romans 1:28; 2 Timothy 1). Secondly, people who commit suicide, by their actions, reveal they are among the ungodly who reject Christ (1 John 2:4), are without hope (Ephesians 2:12), and even if they at some point were in the faith, their suicidal actions reveal they did not continue in the faith and were moved away from the hope of the gospel (Colossians 1:23). Hell is the fate for all such people, because, if even they are not to be considered murderers, although they have murdered themselves, they are certainly unbelieving Revelation 21

Therefore, there is no grace, but only hell for such people. Thus, there is no "comfort in God's grace as you remember your son" as Graham claims.

VI. HIS FALSE TEACHING ON HELL

In Graham's book, Facing Death And The Life After, Graham wrote, "Even some theologians chose to reject the Bible's clear teaching on hell." (p. 34)Graham himself rejects "the Bible's clear teaching on hell."

Scripture is not unclear about the fact that Hell is a place of fiery torment (Isaiah 66:24; Mark 9:43-48; Matthew 3:12; 5:22; 13:40-42, 49-50; 18:8-9; 25:41; Luke 16: 19-31; John 15:6; Revelation 14:10; 19:20; 20:10, 14-15; 21:. Yet, Mr. Graham denies this truth.

In an interview with Time Magazine (November 15, 1993), Mr. Graham said this about hell:

The only thing I could say for sure is that hell means separation from God. We are separated from his light, from his fellowship. That is going to be hell. When it comes to a literal fire, I don't preach it because I'm not sure about it. When the Scripture uses fire concerning hell, that is possibly an illustration of how terrible it's going to be - not fire but something worse, a thirst for God that cannot be quenched. (p. 74, bold added)

First of all, Scripture never depicts or describes hell as "a thirst for God". In fact, the ungodly man (one who goes to hell) "does not seek God" (Psalm 10:4; 14:2; Romans 3:11); "God is in none of his thoughts" (Psalm 10:4). Secondly, Graham denies hell fire by saying it is "not fire." Yet, Scripture is very clear about the fire of hell. In fact, the rich man in "Hades" in Luke 16:24 said, "I am tormented in this flame."

Now, lest someone argue that Time Magazine misrepresented Graham's beliefs, please note that twenty four years prior Graham preached this same kind of deceit at his 1969 Crusade in New York City. In Graham's book, The Challenge, Sermons from Madison Square Garden, Graham says,

Whatever Hell may be, and there are many mysteries, and I don't intend to solve them all - whatever Hell may mean, it is separation from God.

Now there are three words that Jesus used constantly to describe it. One is called "Fire." Now we know that God has a fire that burns and doesn't consume like the burning bush that Moses experienced. We know that James said, 'The tongue is set on fire of hell." We know that that wasn't combustion - that actual literal fire isn't down in your throat and in your tongue. It is symbolic language. And theologians through the centuries have argued and debated over what fire means.

The Bible said, "For our God is a consuming fire."

Jesus told the story about the rich man who went to Hell and he asked that Lazarus may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool his tongue.

Could it be that the fire Jesus talked about is an eternal search for God that is never quenched? Is that what it means? That, indeed, would be hell. To be away from God forever, separated from His Presence.

The ungodly couldn't care less about being separated from God (Psalm 10:3-4; 14:2-3; Romans 1:28; 3:10-1, and thus being "separated from God" and having an unquenchable "thirst" or "search for God" is no concern to the wicked. This kind of preaching removes the truth that people need to hear ( hell is a place of fiery torment, e.g. Revelation 14:10; 20:10). Graham's falsehood helps remove any true fear of God (Luke 12:4-5). In fact, Time magazine well illustrated Graham's basic message on hell in the above mentioned article. They wrote (regarding his beliefs), "A heaven of powerful spirits, a hell that may be fire-free." (p. 74). A fire-free hell? This is completely the opposite of the teaching of the word of God!

VII. HIS FALSE ADDITIONS

Proverbs 30:5-6 says, "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Graham adds to the word of God. In Facing Death And The Life After, Graham promotes the damning doctrine of "faith in yourself". On page 148 Graham writes,

"Humphrey's remarks on the floor of the Senate express so beautifully the qualities that make for a dignified, graceful death. He said, 'The greatest healing therapy is friendship and love, and over this land I have sensed it. Doctors, chemicals, radiation, pills, nurses, therapists are all very, very helpful. But without faith in yourself and your own ability to overcome your own difficulties, faith in divine providence, and without the friendship and kindness and generosity of friends, there is no healing." (bold added)

Scripture says, "He who trusts in his own heart is a fool." (Proverbs 28:26), and "Cursed is the man who trusts in man" (Jeremiah 17:5).

In Graham's book, Unto the Hills, on page 10 Graham writes,

To paraphrase the Bible, what shall it profit a man (or a woman) who gains the whole world but loses his or her own family?

This does not "paraphrase the Bible", this perverts the Bible (Mark 8:36).

Another lie in this same book can be found on page 208 where Graham writes, "Jesus told us to fear Satan." You will never find that in holy writ!

Another example of adding to the Word of God can be found in his book entitled, Facing Death And The Life After. On page 215 Graham writes,

What Right Have You to Enter Heaven? Every man and woman who has ever lived will have to answer that question.

Scripture never says this! Likewise, on page 230 (same book) Graham writes,

God did not invent denominations, man did. When we go to His home, He will invite us in, but will not ask us for our church or Sunday school credentials. Only one question will be asked: "What did you do on earth with My Son, Jesus?" It will make no difference whether we were Catholic or Protestant, Jew or Gentile. What matters is whether we believe in Him or reject Him. (bold added)

Scripture never says any such question will be asked. In fact, as an example, in Matthew 25:31-46 the people judged are told what's up, not asked!

VIII. HIS CATHOLICISM

Graham's fellowship (Ephesians 5:11) with the unholy Catholic church, according to Graham, started early in his career as an "evangelist". In Just As I Am, in the context of organizing a crusade in the winter of 1950 Graham recalls,

"He [Willis Haymaker] would also call on the local Catholic bishop or other clerics to acquaint them with Crusade plans and invite them to the meetings; they would usually appoint a priest to attend and report back. This was years before Vatican II's openness to Protestants, but we were concerned to let the Catholic bishops see that my goal was not to get people to leave their church; rather, I wanted them to commit their lives to Christ." (p. 163, bold added)

This should have been Graham's goal "to get people to leave their church", because their church is leading them to hell! Catholicism is a false religion with a false Christ and doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1-5). Christ is the Truth (John 14:6), and if someone comes to the Truth (1 Timothy 2:4), they will no longer be involved with idolatry (i.e., false religion, e.g. 1 Thessalonians 1:9; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). From the above quote, it is evident that Graham believes you can be a Catholic and be saved at the same time. This lie is further illustrated on page 357 of this same book.

My goal, I always made clear, was not to preach against Catholic beliefs or to proselytize people who were already committed to Christ within the Catholic Church. Rather, it was to proclaim the Gospel to all those who had never truly committed their lives to Christ.

It is hypocrisy and serious wickedness to claim to be a preacher of Scripture, and yet not "preach against Catholic beliefs" (Ephesians 5:11). Also, there is no such thing as a person who is "already committed to Christ within the Catholic Church," just as there is no such thing as a person who is already committed to Christ within the Satanic Church, or the Mormon Church, or the Jehovah Witness Church, or the Buddhist religion, or Muslim faith. You cannot love the Truth (Christ, John 14:6) and continue to love and practice a lie (Revelation 22:15).

Graham should be warning against the danger of Catholicism (i.e., Catholics go to hell), but since he is a hireling (John 10:11-13), he gives no such declaration. On page 368 of this same book Graham writes,

I was grateful for the statement one U.S. Catholic newspaper made as it reviewed our first South American trip: 'Never once, at least in our memory, has [Billy Graham] attacked the Catholic Church. . . . (brackets in original)

On page 482 Graham writes (in the context of a trip to Poland),

We also suspected, with some justification, that some of the hard-line Communist officials hoped to use an American Protestant evangelist to weaken the strong authority of the Roman Catholic Church. If so, it was a naive hope; I would not have done or said anything that might be taken as anti-Catholic.

Contrary to the Psalmist who said, "I have hated those who have regarded useless idols;" (Psalm 31:6), Graham describes a cordial, warm, and a "special affinity" with Catholic leadership. On page 692 of Just As I Am Graham recounts,

One whom I have yet to mention - and with whom I felt a special affinity - was Roman Catholic preacher Bishop Fulton L. Sheen.

Later Graham writes of the first time he met Mr. Sheen.

I was in my pajamas, but I was delighted to see him and invited him in. We talked about our ministries and our common commitment to evangelism, and I told him how grateful I was for his ministry and his focus on Christ. (p. 692-693)

His "cordial" and "warm" relationship with the pope is described in this same book on page 488-489 where Graham recalls his first visit with the head of one of the largest false religions in the world.

When we left Hungary, we set off on a brief trip to the Vatican. Years before, I had visited the city-state as a tourist, but on this trip I was to be received by Pope John Paul II, my first visit with a pope.

As I was ushered into his quarters, Pope John Paul II greeted me, and we shook hands warmly. I found him extremely cordial and very interested in our ministry, especially in his homeland. After only a few minutes, I felt as if we had known each other for many years.

He also expressed great delight at the small gift I had brought him, a woodcarving of a shepherd with his sheep, done by a North Carolina craftsman. We recalled together Jesus' words in John 10:14,16. . . . In turn the pope gave me a medallion commemorating his papacy and several magnificently bound volumes.

On page 599, Graham further describes his relationship with this wicked man.

I was asked by Pope John Paul II to participate with him during that same time period in an unprecedented ecumenical service of worship during his visit to Colombia, South Carolina. It was not to be a Mass but a service of Scripture, prayer, and preaching. I was to speak on the subject of the family.

I was looking forward to that event, especially since the pope and I had a cordial relationship.

IX. HIS ECUMENISM

Linked with Graham's sympathy for Catholicism is his blatant disregard for Jude 3 which says, "contend for the faith." Instead of joining those who are not faithful to the Word of God (as Graham does), Bible believers should "withdraw" from those who do "not consent to wholesome words" (1 Timothy 6:3-5), "turn away" from those who hold to a "form of godliness but [deny] its power" (2 Timothy 3:1-5), and "note those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which [they] have learned and avoid them" (Romans 16:17). But, Graham has no due regard for such verses.

My own position was that we should be willing to work with all who were willing to work with us. Our message was clear, and if someone with a radically different theological view somehow decided to join with us in a Crusade that proclaimed Christ as the way of salvation, he or she was the one who was compromising personal convictions, not we. (Just As I Am, p. 303-304)

Conversely, Scripture says,

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:20-22; see also 2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

Graham's ecumenism reaches so far that he embraces Norman Vincent Peale as "a deeply committed believer."

Another day we had lunch with Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and his wife, Ruth; his preaching on 'the power of positive thinking' had made him familiar to millions. Mrs. Peale did a magnificent job heading up the women's prayer groups for the Crusade, and Dr. Peale was warmly supportive of the meetings. Although our emphasis in preaching differed, I found him a deeply committed believer with a genuine concern that men and women give their lives to Christ. (Just As I Am, p. 315)

What a lie! Mr. Peale is to be accursed (Galatians 1:8-9; 1 Corinthians 16:22). He teaches the false gospel of "the power of positive thinking", not the true gospel of Christ (which is the power of God unto salvation, Romans 1:16). Instead of warning people of Peale's false gospel that damns (because the trust is placed on man, Jeremiah 17:5, and his ability to think positively rather than simply on Christ and Him alone, 2 Corinthians 11:3), Graham calls him "a deeply committed believer" which only helps to spread Mr. Peale's deceit.

Mr. Graham is so ecumenical, he is more ecumenical (and concerned about being politically correct) than former presidents Richard Nixon and George Bush!

In early December, I left to spend the Christmas holidays visiting our troops in Vietnam. I got back just in time for the inauguration. Nixon wanted me to do all the prayers at the swearing-in ceremony, but I objected.

"Dick, you've got to have all faiths represented, or you're going to have trouble."

"No, I just want you," he insisted.

Eventually, Nixon gave in to the ecumenical idea, . . . (Just As I Am, p. 450)

At his inauguration in 1989, George Bush invited me to lead the various prayers during the public ceremony. I protested at first, pointing out that it was customary to have a clergy from other traditions participate also (often a Jewish rabbi, a Catholic priest, and perhaps an Orthodox leader). He remained adamant, however, saying he felt more comfortable with me; besides, he added, he didn't want people to think he was just trying to play politics by having representatives of different faiths. (ibid., p. 592)

X. HIS LEWDNESS (Jude 4)

Graham turns the grace of God into lewdness by propagating that Catholics are saved, and people like Norman Vincent Peale are men of God. To call the wicked righteous, as Graham does, perverts the grace of God (Jude 4), denies Christ (the Word of God, Revelation 19:13; Jude 4; Titus 1:16), and denies the power of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5). A further example of this can be found in Graham's book, Facing Death And The Life After, where Graham writes of former President Lyndon B. Johnson,

Though in many ways he was a rough man, and a complex man, down deep in his heart he loved God. (p. 199)

That is a lie (e.g. see PBS Home Video, LBJ, a biography)! Johnson was not a godly man (i.e., one who loved God). Proverbs 14:2 says, "He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, but he who is perverse [i.e., ungodly] in his ways despises Him."

In Just As I Am, Graham writes of President Bill Clinton,

The previous day, President Clinton called and asked me to stop by the White House. We ended up spending much of the afternoon together, talking not only about the past and current events, but also about the Bible and what it says about God's plan for our lives. It was a warm fellowship with a man who has not always won the approval of his fellow Christians but who has in his heart a desire to serve God and do His will. (p. 656, entire paragraph quoted).

No one who promotes the killing of unborn children, as Clinton did during his presidency (even partially born children), desires "to serve God and do His will" (Proverbs 17:11; 21:10)! Graham is a liar (on behalf of himself, and others, 1 John 2:4) .

XI. HIS ESSENTIALS

Graham follows the common lie that,

There are things about the Christian faith which are essential; there are others which are important in varying degrees but which have no bearing on one's personal salvation. (Answers To Life's Problems, p. 113-114)

If we agree on the things about which the Bible is very clear, we can agree to disagree on many minor points. (ibid., 114)

Scripture does not teach this, but rather, just the opposite. "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4) Please also note the following verses:

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:21-22)

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth . . . (1 Peter 1:22)

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall. (Matthew 7:24-27; "these sayings of Mine" - Matthew 5:3-7:23)

If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)

He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. (John 8:47)

If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; (John 14:23-24)

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. (1 John 4:6; see also Jude 3; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Romans 16:17-18; 1 Timothy 1:3; 6:3-5; 2 Timothy 3:16-4:5)

In Graham's "essential" teaching, Graham helps people "not receive the love of the truth [John 14:6], that they might be saved" (2 Thessalonians 2:10).

XII. HIS FAMILY HYPOCRISY

In Graham's book, Unto the Hills, Graham writes, "No one is truly a success in God's eyes if his family is a mess." Graham's family was a mess, by his own admission. In Just As I Am, Graham writes about his family at home while he was away preaching.

"It sounds angelic. But the girl's theme song around the house, day in and day out, was 'Mama, get Franklin!' On Valentine's Day that year, she wrote the following item in her journal:

Four full-blooded little Grahams. I feel this A.M. it's gotten quite beyond me. They fight, they yell, they answer back. Breakfast is dreadful. Franklin woke me at 4:15 thinking it was time to get up . . . . And when I did get up at 6:15, so did Anne and Franklin, and fought during the time I have with the Lord alone. Now they've gone off to school looking nice enough (for once) and with a good breakfast but with the scrappiest of family prayers. Only a longer blessing and their last two weeks' Bible verses yelled each above the other. Grumbling, interrupting, slurring one another, impudent to me. So now they're off, I'm in bed with my Bible thinking it through - or rather, trying to.

What I missed! And what Ruth missed by not having me to help her." (p. 704, ellipsis in original)

Graham considers himself a pastor (Just As I Am, p. 507), but he was, and still is, disqualified (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).

. . . one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?) (1 Timothy 3:4-5)

. . . holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict. (Titus 1:9)

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

Big difference between a sinner saved by grace and an apostate. That being, the sinner knows he is a sinner and depends wholly on God's grace through Jesus Christ for his justification and sanctification but the apostate who is a false brethren, twists, adds and omits the word of God because he is not really saved himself and so the truth is not in him and because the truth is not in him, (for he disregards the word of God,) has no truth to give any on else.He decieves because he himself is decieved. So by the way are those who listen to him.

John 837-44

I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.[/

BILLY GRAHAM IS A FALSE PROPHET....WHY? CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!

Both The Louisiana Masonic Family Web Site And The Official State Genessee Lodge No. 174 of Flint, Michigan, Report That The Reverend Billy Graham Is A Mason!

Billy Graham Tells Robert Schuller He Believes People Can Be Saved Apart From Jesus Christ!
Graham might be a Freemason, that his fruits are leading the church into the One-World System of Antichrist, and that his doctrines are definitely NOT Biblical.

Billy Graham's daughter, Anne Graham Lotz, spoke at the Millennium World Peace Summit at the United Nations. The goal of the meeting is to form a permanent council of religious leaders to advise the U.N. on preventing and settling disputes. The more than 1,000 participants include representatives Hinduism, Sikhism, Shintoism, Judaism, Spiritism, Taoism, Christianity, Islam, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, and Confucianism

Does Not Believe Every Word, Jot, or Tittle Is Divinely Inspired

Billy Graham continues to cast doubt on the 100% accuracy of the Bible! He is severely eroding the faith of so many, many people. People's faith will not be based upon the actual Rock of Ages but upon the devil's shifting sand. This is NOT the Gospel, but it is the spirit of error of which the Prophets foretold would be a sign of the End of the Age.

Ordained as a Baptist preacher in 1939, he preached a conservative but not fundamentalist brand of Christianity with a style that took him to six different continents and into the company of 10 presidents. Even in 1939, some people could see the beginning outline of Graham's doctrinal weakness. Even then, discerning people could tell he was not a "Fundamentalist", i.e., one who believes every word in the Bible is "God-breathed" and held literally to every Scriptural teaching.

Graham teaches Universalism. Dr. Graham has flatly contradicted Jesus Christ!

You see, in this teaching of Universal Salvation, which Graham is espousing, each man gets to heaven by way of his own religion. For Graham, that religion is Christianity, so he is trusting in Jesus and His blood sacrifice for his salvation. But, a sincere Buddhist will get to heaven by "being good" through Buddhist principles, a devout Muslim will get to heaven by "being good" through Islamic doctrine and so on and so forth, to all religions of the world.

Eventually, everyone gets to the same heaven. This is the essence of believing God has "absolute love". This doctrine is eternally deadly.

Graham Does Not Recognize Inherent Evil of Islam

"Graham says: 'I would not say Islam is wicked and evil ..."

Even though Islamic forces have slaughtered entire populations in history, Dr. Graham does not think the religion is wicked and evil. Even though Muslims are blowing up men, women, and children throughout the Middle East, Graham does not think the religion is evil. Yet, just a brief study of the Koran reveals the wickedness and the evil of this religion. The Koran tells muslims to kill Christians and Jews!

In an interview published in Newsweek magazine, August 14, Billy Graham confirmed his misguided opinion that men might be saved without faith in Jesus Christ. When asked whether he believes heaven will be 'closed to Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus or secular people,' Graham replied, 'are decisions only the Lord will make. It would be foolish for me to speculate on who will be there and who won't ... I don't want to speculate about all that. I believe the love of God is absolute. He said he gave his Son for the whole world, and I think he loves everybody regardless of what label they have'."

No one would disagree that God will make the decision about man's eternal destiny, but the fact is that He has already made that decision and has revealed it in the Scriptures. It is not speculation to believe the Bible. God does indeed love sinners and Christ died to make it possible for them to be saved, but the other side of the coin is that only those who are true believer in the Jesus Christ of the bible will be saved

Nothing is more plainly stated in Scripture.

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him'." (John 3:26)

" 'He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life'." (1 John 5:12).

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved'." (Acts 4:12)

What gospel, Billy Graham, do you preach?

In Poland in 1978 Graham praised the greatness of Pope John the XXIII's successor, Pope Paul VI, and he said, "I praise the greatness of the present Pope Paul VI."

Billy Graham had already said that he preaches the same gospel as the Roman Catholic church.1978: "I found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Catholics." What do you think of that? He says, "We only differ on some matters of later church tradition. I find that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics" McCall's Jan. 1978

The gospel according to Rome

Let us examine the gospel of the Roman Catholic Church. The Roman Catholic Church denies the full and final authority of Scripture. My Gospel is "To the law and to the testimony; if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them" (Isaiah 8:20)

That is my Gospel. This Book is the full and final authority. Hear the Second Vatican Council: "The Church does not draw her certainty about revealed truth from the Holy Scriptures alone. Hence, both Scriptures and tradition must be accepted and honored with equal feelings of devotion and reverence."

"I preach the gospel of Rome," says Graham, "the gospel that built this great college," but the gospel of Rome denies the authority, the verbal inspiration and eternal truthfulness of this Book and elevates Roman tradition into the same plane.

"Paul, do you preach the gospel of Rome?" and Paul replies THUS

"Beware lest any man spoil you after the traditions of men" Colossians 2:8

The Gospel of the Bible is the Gospel of the sole authority of the Word of God, and that is where this church stands, and that is where all Gospel preachers must stand, and Graham has departed from the authority of God's Word. When you depart from the authority of God's Word, which is a light to our footsteps and a lamp to our path, you go into darkness, and that is where Graham is today; he is in darkness

Graham thinks Mass is "beautiful"

Graham said, "This past week I preached in the great Catholic Cathedral a funeral sermon for a close friend of mine who was a Catholic, and they had several Bishops and Archbishops to participate, and as I sat there going through the funeral Mass that was a very beautiful thing, and certainly straight and clear in the gospel." That was Billy Graham at the Mass, and he went on to say, "There was a wonderful little priest that would tell me when to stand and when to kneel and what to do." So Billy Graham was kneeling before the Mass wafer, and he said it is clear in the gospel and that the Mass ceremony was a very beautiful thing.

The Mass is the greatest attack on the finished work of Christ, yet Graham says, "That is the gospel I preach ... it is clear in the gospel." That is the man that is beaming into the Ulster Temple; and beaming into the First Presbyterian Church, Bangor; and in the War Memorial Hall, Carrickfergus; and in Lisburn, Seymour Street Methodist Church; Omagh, in the Library; Markethill, in the Presbyterian Church; Aughnacloy in the Church Halls; also in Letterkenny, Sligo and Tallaght--beaming in the message of this man that says the Mass is clear in the gospel.

What the Bible says

You know what the Bible tells me? The Bible says, "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter in by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, and having an high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water" (Heb. 10:19-22)

Let me say something about this Pope whom Graham rejoiced with, this Pope who called him "brother."

What does this Pope say? I quote him. He says he invites all men and women in the world to "turn with me to the Immaculate heart of Mary, the Mother of Jesus in whom is effected the reconciliation of God with humanity."

That is the most blasphemous statement that the present Pope has made: "You do not turn to Christ; you turn to the Immaculate heart of Mary." Mary does not have a sinless heart. Mary has to be saved. She said, "My spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." What does Paul say to the Galatians?
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

After Christ was born she went through the Mosaic ceremony for purification. If she was sinless she did not need to be purified. "The Immaculate heart of Mary." Did the immaculate heart of Mary affect our reconciliation to God? No, it was the heart of Christ broken on the Cross, and the shedding of His blood that reconciled us to God. Yet this is Graham's "brother," and this is the gospel that Billy Graham says he preaches. He rejoices in London that he can send back to Rome 2,100 people who have been confirmed in the Catholic faith.

Billy Graham kneeling and worshiping the Mass wafer.
Billy Graham saying the Mass is the gospel straight and plain. Billy Graham saying in Belmont Abbey College, "I preach the gospel that built this school."

This is the gospel of Rome; this is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ that Graham is preaching, and cannot be.

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8, 9

Romans 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.

2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel.

1978, January. In an interview given to "McCall's Magazine" Graham said, "I used to believe that pagans in far off countries were lost going to hell if they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. I no longer believe that. I believe that there are other ways of recognizing God through nature for instance and plenty of other ways of saying 'yes' to God".

But, Dr. Graham, what happened to the Gospel necessity of turning solely to Jesus Christ in faith? "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association later issued a statement citing Graham as saying, "On the whole I am pleased with the accuracy of the article (McCall's)... a few statements unfortunately convey meanings which I never intended. This may be due to my own failure to make myself as plain as I should have".

However, in the same McCall's article, Graham said, "I've found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics... we differ on some matters of later church tradition."

Notice how the difference between Graham and the universal Church of Rome is admittedly nonexistent. "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4).

The Scripture telling of the degeneration of evil men. Billy Graham's departure from salvation by faith alone in Christ Jesus, must also be true. "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived" (2Timothy 3:13)

1981. Billy Graham "met the pope for the first time, and was the first Protestant to speak at the North American College, a seminary for students from North America at the Vatican" (reported from "Roman Catholic- Evangelical Cooperation"

(ReligiousTolerance) an unscriptural WS ....Billy Graham is "tolerant of all religious beliefs, accurate in our writing, and inclusive", run by two "Unitarian Universalists", one "Wiccan" [witch], and one "liberal but unaffiliated Christian")

"Come [quickly], LORD Jesus" (Revelation 22:20). Billy Graham's toleration of wickedness is the essence of his sin, hypocritical love. "Let love be without dissimulation [literally, hypocrisy]. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good" (Romans 12:9)

Any tolerance of that which is known to be evil, in the name of being balanced, fair, inclusive, etc. is a devious means of stripping the Saint of his holiness. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2Corinthians 6:17).

When the very word "tolerance" can be used as a weapon against the Godly, then the enemy has come in like a flood. But, "when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him" (Isaiah 59:19)

1995, June 2-8 "The European" reported, "DR. GRAHAM SENDS HIS ENQUIRERS INTO ROMAN CATHOLICISM, EASTERN ORTHODOXY, LIBERAL PROTESTANTISM, ETC." This has been a consistent policy since Billy Graham's early evangelistic days. "His name and address and a lot of information about him is taken and within 24 hours that is sent to a minister of the church of his choice regardless of denomination" (from an interview with Graham in the "U.S. News and World Report" of August 27, 1954).

"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:6).

Why has Billy Graham done this? Like Balaam, Billy Graham "loved the wages of unrighteousness" (2Peter 2:15)....the acceptance of man, the success of man, the materialism of man, etc. But, the "deceivableness of unrighteousness" (2Thessalonians 2:10) caused Billy Graham to believe the lie that he has done all of this for Jesus Christ.

"Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do" (Hebrews 4:13).

1997. In Billy Graham's autobiography, he made clear that his goal was not to lead people out of Roman Catholicism: "My goal, I always made clear, was not to preach against Catholic beliefs or to proselytize people who were already committed to Christ within the Catholic Church. Rather, it was to proclaim the Gospel to all those who had never truly committed their lives to Christ" (from Billy Graham's autobiography, "Just As I Am", p. 357). "

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to Wholesome Words, even the Words of our LORD Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to Godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the Truth, supposing that gain is Godliness: from such withdraw thyself" (1Timothy 6:3-5)

1997, January. Larry King interviewed Billy Graham, and he easily induced Graham to make statements applauding the Pope and the Church of Rome.

KING: What do you think of the other [churches]... like Mormonism? Catholicism? Other faiths within the Christian concept?

GRAHAM: Oh, I think I have a wonderful fellowship with all of them.

KING: You're comfortable with Salt Lake City? You're comfortable with the Vatican?

GRAHAM: I am very comfortable with the Vatican. I have been to see the Pope several times. In fact, preaching in his cathedral in Krakow. I was his guest... [and] when he was over here... in Columbia, South Carolina... he invited me on the platform to speak with him. I would give one talk, and he would give the other...

KING: You like this Pope?

GRAHAM: I like him very much.... He and I agree on almost everything.

Billy Graham's self-admitted "fellowship" with Mormonism and Catholicism makes him a "partaker of [their] evil deeds" (2John 11). "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them" (Ephesians 5:11).

However, no amount of historical proofs or Scriptural texts will convince you of the blackness of Billy Graham's compromise or the present nakedness of the Professed Church, if you are unwilling to receive it. "If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of Myself" (John 7:17).

In fact, that so few of the Professed Church can understand Billy Graham's compromise and oppose it, demonstrates that the "coming of the LORD draweth nigh" (James 5:. For, "when the Son of Man cometh, shall He find Faith on the Earth?" (Luke 18

With evidence garnered from places other than the public Graham Crusades, we find that Graham might be a Freemason, that his fruits are leading the church into the One-World System of Antichrist, and that his doctrines are definitely NOT Biblical.

NEWS BRIEF: "Graham Worries Heaven Might Be Wrong Place For Him", January 2, 2000, Fox News Interview, reported in The Calvary Contender, Vol. XVII, January 15, 2000.

"In a Jan. 2 Fox News interview, Tony Snow asked Billy Graham: 'When you get to Heaven, who's going to speak first, you or God?
' Graham replied: 'When I get there, I'm sure that Jesus is going to say that he will welcome me. But I think that he's going to say: 'Well done, our good and faithful servant.' Or he may say: 'You're in the wrong place'."

The basis of getting to Heaven is muddled in this interview, and is manward instead of Godward. Earlier in the interview, Graham's testimony of salvation made no mention of the Gospel, but was about knowing Christ in his heart, and a big change. When I read this the tears came to my eyes. Here, in his own words, is evidence of that which we have been observing for some time now. He is "not a righteous man" because he has not been washed in Jesus' blood.

Recently we considered his definition of "repentance" ...the "works" of changing and 'doing better' and 'being a better person'. Trying to do better 'from now on'. He doesn't understand repentance as being a "place" at the foot of Jesus' cross (without works), where he could then receive "the righteousness of God" (Rom1:17,3:5,3:21-22,Phil3:9) which is of faith "in Christ" (2Cor5:21, Jn1:12) It is a "gift". (Eph2:

I was stunned to silence and even to a trembling of my soul when I read Billy Graham actually say that Jesus Christ may say to him, "You are in the wrong place"!! Of all the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives, assurance of Salvation is paramount. The Holy Spirit literally fills our hearts with the firm assurance that we are as assured of Heaven as if we are already there. Yet, here is the famous Evangelist, Billy Graham, saying he is not sure of his salvation? The reason he is unsure of his salvation becomes clearly evident in his response to Tony Snow's next question.

SNOW: "You really worry that you may be told you're in the wrong place?

GRAHAM: Yes, because I have not - I'm not a righteous man. People put me up on a pedestal that I don't belong in my personal life. And they think that I'm better than I am. I'm not the good man that people think I am. Newspapers and magazines and television have made me out to be a saint. I'm not. I'm not a Mother Teresa. And I feel that very much." CALVARY CONTENDER

A truly Born Again Christian -- genuinely saved by God's Grace -- will be puzzled by this seemingly contradictory statement as to whether he is going to Heaven or Hell. On the one hand, Graham seems to acknowledge that Jesus is going to accept him and commend him for his service, but then in the very next breath, he expresses doubt that Jesus will accept him. Then, Graham continues by saying that he is not a "righteous" man.

In the genuine Christian context, these two statements make no sense whatsoever. But, if you assume that Graham is something other than a genuine Christian, this statement begins to make more sense. In fact, if Graham were to be a Freemason, say, then these two statements make perfect sense. Is Reverend Billy Graham a Freemason?

Consider the evidence:

his terrible lack of assurance of salvation in Graham's heart of hearts is not comprehensible if he is truly a Christian depending upon Jesus' imputed righteousness to get to Heaven; but, if Billy Graham is a Freemason, then this lack of assurance becomes very much more understandable, because Freemasons depend upon a person's own works to get into Heaven. Therefore, Freemasons do NOT have the assurance of the Holy Spirit in their inner soul, like all other pagans.

NEWS BRIEF: Reverend Billy Graham listed as a "Famous Mason" in two (2) major Freemason s*i*t*e*s*

He was listed as a "Famous Mason" on the following.....Genesee Lodge No. 174, Free and Accepted Masons, Chartered January 11, 1866 A.D. -- 5866 A.L., Under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Free and

Accepted Masons of the State of Michigan, 755 South Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan, Robert (Bob) Orrison, Secretary., page. 3 of 7.
Louisiana Masonic Family, Free and Accepted Masons, Famous Masons section, listed under "Other Famous Masons", This site listed many more men as Famous Masons than did the Genesee Lodge.
You see, even though Freemasons claim to be "Christian", their claim has nothing whatever to do with a belief in Jesus Christ, but only in a belief in "God", the Grand Architect of the Universe. They depend upon "good works' for eternal abode in Heaven. They do not believe only in Christian doctrine, but also upon the doctrines of all the old pagan religions of the past antiquity -- especially the Egyptian Mysteries -- whom God cursed and brought into Judgment when He led Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt.
Graham's seemingly contradictory statement, to Tony Snow, above: 1). he hopes Jesus will welcome him into Heaven on the basis of his works for the Lord; but, 2). then Graham acknowledges that his works may not be enough to get him into Heaven, prompting Jesus to tell him that he is "in the wrong place".

This statement is perfectly understandable when you understand Graham is a Freemason; they believe as do all Pagans, that a person's eternal destiny depends upon whether his works of good outweigh the bad in the final Balance Scale of Justice.

This statement by Billy Graham is absolutely the "smoking gun" which we have been dreading, so we can definitively determine whether Graham is Wheat or a Counterfeit Tare, whether he is Freemason or not. Now we know. He is a Counterfeit Tare, and he has just expressed the most basic of Masonic beliefs regarding eternal destiny. Christian truth is so different. Listen:

"He that believeth on him is not condemned:" John 3:18

I really like the full meaning of the original language as captured by the Amplified Commentary: "He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation --he incurs no damnation."

If Graham truly believed the Bible he has so ardently preached all these years, he would know that no true Born Again Christian will ever face the Judgment Bar, where Jesus will hand down condemnatory sentences; rather, we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ, to determine rewards only.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.." [Romans 8:1]

" I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." [Isaiah 43:25]

No greater assurance of salvation and of eternity in Heaven is possible than by the testimony of "two or three witnesses" - God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit speaking through the Apostle Paul. Graham's own confession of the Masonic-Pagan view of final judgment squarely places him in the camp of the enemy. But, we should not be surprised, for we Fundamentalists have been warning of this state of affairs for almost 50 years, pointing out the evidences of Graham's apostasy [departure from the true faith]. The reason Fundamentalist Christians like me had no difficulty whatsoever in believing Graham might be Freemason is that we have been sounding the alarm for years about his apostasy. Whenever anyone doubts Graham might be a counterfeit, I also ask them upon what basis they hold their opinion of him. They always say, 'his public Crusades". I am the first to admit that the simple Gospel Graham presents during his Crusades offers little to criticize. He seems to really present the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Yet, acting upon Jesus' command to examine fruits [Matthew 7:16-20], we have been mightily troubled by Graham's actions apart from his public crusades. Consider very disturbing facts:

As early As 1966 He boasted that he attended the WCC assembly in New Delhi in 1961, and he hoped he would attend the 4th assembly in Uppsala, Sweden in 1968 (which he did). He has attended all but two WCC assemblies ever since.

This policy continues. The World Council of Churches is unabashedly devoted to bringing all the world's religions together in what has been called the Ecumenical Movement. New Age writers pronounce that the Ecumenical Movement is the forerunner of the Religion of their New Age Christ ...antichrist

As early as 1964 Billy Graham's Columbus, Ohio, crusades was sponsored by the modernistic Columbus area Council of Churches. This policy continues.

As early as 1957 In the New York crusade, Billy Graham had Henry Pitt Van Dusen, President of Union Theological Seminary, take a place of responsibility and authority. U.S. News wrote that Van Dusen's school was "one of the most LIBERAL and LEFT-WING schools in America." Yet for all this, they wrote that "Dr. Van Dusen is considered by Graham as a GREAT RELIGIOUS LEADER." Graham has also used noted apostates in his work, notably Robert McCraken and Norman Vincent Peale. Peale was a noted Freemason, also.

As early as 1963 He had United Methodist Bishop, Gerald B. Kennedy, as his Los Angeles Crusade Chairman. Kennedy wrote in one of his books: "I believe that the testimony of the New Testament, taken as a whole, is AGAINST THE DOCTRINE OF THE DEITY OF JESUS ..." Thus, we see that Graham was affiliating himself with apostate "Christian" Tares as early as 1963.

As early as 1957 He sent ... 373 of his New York City decision cards to the apostate Marble Collegiate Church. This trend continues, sending decision cards to apostate Protestant churches, Catholic churches, Jewish synagogues, and elsewhere. Graham single-handedly revived modernist, apostate, Liberal Protestant churches, as well as giving the Roman Catholic Church new converts from his Crusades. These types of Protestant churches were going down in flames as so many members left rather than accept the new Liberal direction of their denominations. Without Graham sending them these new converts, Apostate churches would have closed their doors.

In 1963, Mr. Graham had spoken at the Roman Catholic Belmont (NC) Abbey College. [Cutting Edge Commentary: Denying, in 1964, that Graham had spoken at any Catholic Church, when he had, in fact, spoken at Belmont Abbey College the year earlier, does not this qualify as an bold faced lie?!

In 1967 He again spoke at this college at the Institute for Ecumenical Dialogue, receiving his honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (D.H.L.) from them and saying that this was "... a time when PROTESTANTS AND CATHOLICS could meet together and greet each other as BROTHERS & " Today, Graham is regularly seen complimenting the Pope, whom Graham believes is the greatest religious figure of this century. We reported that, in 1991, New World Order planners declared that the Pope would be their top religious leader in the religion of The Christ, thus making him the False Prophet. It is very revealing that Graham is closely cooperating with the future False Prophet.

As early as 1959, in Christianity Today, it was reported: "Without elaboration, the evangelist [Graham] said his thinking [about Communism] had undergone some CHANGES ... and he indicated that his attitude toward EASTERN EUROPE is more open." Of course, Graham was speaking of Communism because Eastern Europe was under the Communist yoke at the time. In 1982 He visited the Moscow Peace Conference and said: "I saw no evidence of religious persecution in Russia." This was in spite of his visit to the Siberian Pentecostals staying in the American Embassy.

In 1973, Graham said Communist Mao Tse-Tung's eight precepts are basically the same as the Ten Commandments.

In 1973, he praised the Roman Catholic mass as a 'very beautiful thing', and in1978, he said Muhammed Ali's beliefs in Islam 'are something we all could believe'."

In 1961, Dr. Graham said this of infant baptism: "I do believe that something happens at the baptism of an infant ... I believe that a miracle can happen in these children so that they are regenerated, that is, made Christian through infant baptism."

Apostate Leslie Weatherhead Speaking On Billy Graham's Platform In London "In 1966, Dr. Graham said: 'I remember during our London Crusade of 1954, I preached a sermon ... Dr. Leslie Weatherhead sat on the platform that evening and to my surprise commended my sermon.' Dr. Weatherhead was a notorious blasphemer who wrote in his book, The Christian Agnostic, that the Lord Jesus Christ was born an illegitimate child, and that Mary was no virgin, but a temple prostitute." Note: this is typical New Age Luciferian doctrine.

Billy Graham Doesn't Think The Heathen Are Lost "In 1978, McCall's Mag reported Dr. Graham's 'updated' understanding of the way of salvation. 'I used to think that pagans in far-off countries were lost -- were going to hell -- if they did not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to them. I NO LONGER BELIEVE THAT ... I believe there are other ways of recognizing the existence of God -- through nature, for instance -- and plenty of other opportunities, therefore, of saying yes to God." This information taken from "Billy Graham's 23 years of Theological Change"

Now we are in the year, 2000, and Graham has finally uttered the one statement that has revealed him to be the counterfeit Christian leader we Fundamentalists have always feared him to be. Truly, we at the End of the Age, for one of the signs of the soon appearance of Antichrist was the apostasy of the true Church. Listen to the

Apostle Paul:

".. be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." [2 Thessalonians 2:2-3] The word, "falling away" here is the Greek word, "apostasia", [C646 Strong's] which Strong's Concordance defines as "defection from truth".

Truly, the next prophesied event to occur is the appearance of Antichrist. The End of the Age is so close we can hear the hoof beats of the approaching Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
Revelation 6

Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."
