Another Aussie goes belly up

I have the next two days off.....yeehaw!!

But thats not what this post is all about. It's about Heath Ledger, the Aussie actor, who today was found dead of a drug overdose....sleeping pills apparently.

It just made me so sad. Here was a young man, very good looking, having the career he dreamed of, the finances to do what he pleased. He was popular, a great actor and a very promising future awaited him.....but........

There was one thing Heath Ledger obviously didn't have (least I don't think so) and that was the knowledge of a Saviour who loved him so much. How sad is that?

A another life wasted........

It doesn't matter how much money you have, how much fame you have, how beautiful you look.....in the end what matters is Jesus...how you see Him....and how you live your life. His way or the world's way.

Makes me glad to be me....a little broken, a little flawed... not much money, but I know I am loved and my life reflects the love He gives me.

I know how sad. You hear this all the time. It happens in real life it's just when you are famous, you got show interuptions and Special Broadcasts. Front page news.

I couldn't believe it when my son played the younger version of an actor on a NYC Soap and we got to know all the main players. Well the older version of his character beat up someone and got arrested and was high on a couple different drugs and he is a mess and he was the nicest guy, you'd never know but....then again, unless you spent lots of time, you'd never know. It was in all the newspapers, on TV, we were very sad for someone we knew personally. I was so upset for my son to see this. He played the young version of this actor's character. He felt like he himself was being attacked. It was a sad time. I tried to shield him but he knew and he ended up finding out. Broadcast everywhere. The young man has been replaced on the show. Although I don't know if its permanent or until he get's help. I wasn't able to confirm anything if he was let out of his contract or not for legal charges.

Sad, very sad.

The realities of the world as a whole famous or not famous have it's problems. There are no social society that holds the candle to trouble!!! problems!!! dysfunction!!! drugs!!!! So, it's just we get to hear it more because they are famous.

As long as I give my Children the Christ based life. I feel confidant that Timothy will be guided with HIS light and I will pray he always wants to serve the Lord, as he has shows so far. Maybe he can teach others too, to walk with HIM!! Share Jesus on Tim's walk thru life. Now that would be a blessing. Maybe that's why God has blessed Timothy with this passion and talent.

God has never left Timothy's side and is the true meaning of GOD is GOD and MAN is MAN. My son know's this with all he was blessed with. He is not a shy one!! That used to feel like a curse, his outgoing personality. Now it's the most wonderful thing about him!! His light is bright!

I wish Heath knew Jesus. If he did, he forgot then. Sad.

You know, Ginny, as harsh as it was for your son to witness this kind of behaviour, it will stand him in good stead as he grows older, especially if he is planning on following a career in acting. Perhaps the memory of this unfortunate incident will keep him grounded. God works all things together for good!
Apparently Heath's death was accidental, but still, no amount of fame or fortune mattered in the end. I guess we may never know if he knew Jesus or not. I don't know about you but it spurs me on to share the gospel!

Nice to see you again, smiling! You never answered back that "sad" blog! Don''t forget that life IS ups&downs! To know "this" it's already a plus!

I don't know that actor, by the way!

BB

PS: The "blonde" has been silent after that Testimony blog... mmmm!

ms_littlething07 replies on 1/25/2008 3:13 am:
I couldn't answer the "sad" blog BB coz each time I read the beautiful words on that post, from all you amazing people, I get very overcome with emotion! But I read it all the time and it fills my heart like you wouldn't believe! Yes life does have its ups and downs, and the downs are the times of growth BB....as much as I hate the "sads" I am very grateful that God loves me so much that He wants to teach me to get closer and closer to Him!

LOL the "blonde" is busy right now with her job etc and I think she just needed a breather, as we all do sometimes!

Amen Pen! The only "fame" I need is knowing that I'm a child of the Risen King, saved by grace and washed in the blood of the Lamb! Blessings!

God's blessings always,

Heath Leadger is dead?, that is sad.

Life is an adventure.

ms_littlething07 replies on 1/25/2008 3:15 am:
Yeah it is sad. I've been listening to stuff about him on the radio and he seemed like a pretty decent sort of guy. It's a shame when stuff like this happens.....especially when the person concerned has no knowledge of the saving grace of Christ

Lying in bed would be a truely supreme experience if only I had a coloured pencil long enough to draw on the ceiling

ms_littlething07 replies on 1/25/2008 3:19 am:
He was, Netty. And I believe he had a child too? I'm not sure on that one. I know his last relationship ended but I'm not too sure on all those details

When I read your blog title, I thought you were going sunbaking! He was the same age as my daughter was, 28. He must have been a troubled soul, who knows what God had done in his life, amen!

ms_littlething07 replies on 1/25/2008 3:23 am:
Apparently it was accidental, Leanne. But the fact that he needed sleeping pills was not a good sign of a peace filled life!

ms_littlething07 replies on 1/25/2008 3:26 am:
The Patriot was a great movie, Leanne. He also starred in "10 things I hate about you". I think that was one of his first movies and he was pretty young in that one
