* wanted or needed*

Is there a difference to how we feel about being wanted or needed..?

I remember as far back as being 10, when I wanted to join the gang my brothers hung around in.. They didnt need me but I wanted to be in it..

All through my life, I've never felt particularily Wanted or needed..

However, God wants us.. He doesnt Need us.. wonder if that makes a difference in how we think about the things of God?

 Want vs need? That's an easy one.

When a guy needs you...it's cause he needs you to cook for him, clean for him, act like his mom for him.

When a guy wants you, he still wants you even when his socks are dirty.

 I believe that God does need us in a certain sense. Just as the Bible says this:

Rom:10:14: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

He needs us to preach the message. In the Old Testament it says repeatedly that we can dishonor "His Holy Name" and so He does need us to be an example to the world of His holy character...

Deut:4:6: Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

Mt:5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Ti:2:14: Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity

I dunno cos both have their advantages, like my son wants and needs me. people need me when they want to need me.. its a complex subject and you can really get going on it..

me likes the wants you even if his socks are dirty.. but will I want him then

I get what you mean, however, not all can be like that, most men now are independant and dont Need a woman to complete them, yet want them.. funny circle to be in..
