Presidents cant do just whatever they want. That is a huge misconception.

Now, If I were given the Power to do as I wished as President: I would make all tax cuts permanent and also dispose of progressive taxes. Progressive taxes hurt the economy. I would get rid of the IRS and replace it with the Fair Tax. I would have any supreme court justice removed and hung by the neck until dead, that tried to legislate laws which they are not supposed to from the bench. Also ones that looked at other countries constitutions when making decisions. Their Job is to interpet the constitution. Not as a living organism, but for what it says. I would have treasonists regarding the war hung just as President Lincold did for obstruction of the war. The Clintons, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Kerry, John Murtha, Dick Durbin and Barack Obama. I would require Journalists, whether on TV or writers to be able to prove every story that they write or be fined or sent to jail. Because with the power of the pen should be resposibility. The same goes for the Professors in College and Schoolteachers. The Truth Matters. I would give people who live off of welfare that could work two years to get a job. Funds would be given for Vocational training. Then they are cut off. Only People with disabilites. It would then be a state decision on what to do and not Federal. I would build the wall to keep aliens out. I would work on deporting illegal alliens. They would get a chip inserted or a tracking device. If they left voluntarily... no device. If they had the device, the next time they would be told that if they came back a second time they would be put to death. There is a legal way to come into this country. The Death Penalty is a deterent when imposed properly. I would privitize part of SS. This has worked in the past very well. When they saw it worked, Democratic Congress passed a law against it. I would drop investment and corporate taxes to zero and make that permanent. This would stiulate the economy to no end. I would make it mandatory each state except real small ones, have 2 refineries for gasoline. We could drill anywhere in the USA and offshore. Taxes by the Government on gasoline would be much less and not to exceed a quarter. Since Global Warming is non-existant and man has less than 2% of the carbon footprints on earth, I would have a law made that we could never enter into a cap and trade global warming agreement. I would have the new supreme court justices go over any laws that had been voted on in the past to decide if they wer truely constitutional. The ones that were not would be null and void such as abortion and immenent domain. English would be the language. If a person could not speak that, they would be given a year to learn it with a government paid class or they would have to leave. Public Prayer would be allowed, despite some who will be offended. Industry would be more deregulated. People could vote in each state what they wanted. Civil Rights Bill would be revolked. People can be hired and fired on their own Merits, and no employer need hire any person because of their race. The minimum wage would be abolished because those jobs are unskilled labor and are not intended to be jobs to live off of. It ends up costing jobs and raising prices.
