OK...I have a serious question

What do you think? Do we get attacked cause we're not holy enough or what?

I have a ton of stuff going on. I mentioned some of it before and then I posted a 'thank God' post because everything was supposed to be situated. 4 or 5 weeks later..NOPE. It's all gone further down the toilet and there's a plunger on my head shoving me into the crap farther. lol

ANYWAYS...This isnt about that really...sorta..but I'm not on a piss n moan fest.

When I was talking to my mom today, she told me I really need to get into God or whatever the heck she said similar to that. And she told me to call my grandfather so He can pray because I'm under attack because I'm vulnerable.

If I pray, and anne marie prays and my mom prays and several people here have prayed and everything gets worse and worse...
(I have to say though that in the middle of all the mire, there have been a couple of THANK GOD moments because things could have been worse....if you can believe that)

So my point is..sorta....
Does it matter WHO is praying..or HOW MANY people are praying..or if I'm less than perfectly holy..or whatever I am? My mom frustrated me beyond words a few minutes ago because of this conversation.

She said...it will all happen in God's time. Well...that doesnt seem to fit real life time. I really truely thought it would but now..not so much. lol
I know it's not funny...but i'm really losin it. I'm not complaining..I just dont know what else to do.

I know you all wont have answers to my life...but opinions maybe?

Did your mom want you to call your grandfather for prayers because she believes that you need to be under a 'mans' cover of prayer? I've had people tell me that before...but I don't find scriptural evidence of that. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we are all part of the priesthood of believers...and we can all freely come into his presence.

But I do know that 2 stand stronger than 1 and it is good to reach out in prayer for that reason.

I don't know specifics...but not all things that go south are of the enemy...as someone posted just the other day, God prunes and disciplines...and He uses whatever He has at His disposal to draw us closer to Him.

We are more vulnerable to the enemy thought when we aren't dealing in a healthy way with the H.A.L.T. stuff though (google charles stanley h.a.l.t. OR just Hungry-Angry-Lonely-Tired)

Dunno...just my 2 cents worth.

She told me to call him so he can pray cause he's the eldest man in the family I guess..I don't know. But she's already talked to him and he prays for us every day.

I like all the responses here and only have one thing to add... as helen mentioned two is beter than one... would that also be true that 200 is better than 100???

As far as who... I wouldn't call someone who worshiped another god or didn't believe... I do call my 3 closest spiritual friends... I do this, with three, because that is what Jesus teaches... when I have a major decision... it is the same three that I ask...

I do proclaim that I have witnessed healing to some whom go on a prayer chain reaching hundreds... and I have seen no response to prayers on the same chain... When a Billy Graham offers prayer... how many are praying??? 1 or 10,000???

We are on a one on one relationship with God if you believe... and He says He will grant what ever we ask...

So I think we can all relate with some prayers being personal and one on one... and some being lifted in a small group... and then some joining in a general prayer in the presence of thousands...

Not in our understanding???

I understand that I will continue to lift up my prayer to God one on one... Who? I gonna ask God... How many? 2... me and God...

Thanks!!!

Let the SON shine!!!

I know that when God is doing something in me or around me, and I am trying to do what I want , I have frustrations. I stop and I ask... ok God what are we doing today? Two things I've learned that were the hardest are...wait....and keep doing what God told me last. I hope it helps. I know how ya feel. Blessings, Robin

No one can know the reasons for this time of Trial, Interpretation. Possibly, the Lord might give the answer to someone with the gift of knowledge, and they'll leave that for you.

There are many causes for such things. Can you say that the world has become a better place in these last years? No? Perhaps these trials are simply to toughen you up. I know, you don't want to hear that things may worsen, but all of us face that. Life as Christians will only get worse, from here on out. We are being refined and strengthened, because the trials that are still coming are, in Jesus' words: "if that period were not shortened for the sake of God's Elect, no flesh would survive."

So take heart. Yes, life sux big time now, but you are being prepared. When the TRUE trials and tribulations strike the world, you will be able to stand, when many others fall....
