my deaf 's ccw....the saga continues

so frustrated.....

I asked for one of their deaf staff
to work my 's wedding with me
[in 6 weeks]

....I may have to take the most senior
staff who has no signing so I will
ask them not to bother coming and
hire a deaf staff privately.

in God, I trust

    Quoting Interpretation:
Non signing staff? That's so annoying!! It's like putting a chinaman in a french school to teach english.
it's cruel
[his tourettes is off the map in intensity]

it tears my heart out!!!!!....

he's looking at me right here now..
lying on the futon...

both sons tried on tuxedos today to wear on the big day!!
[student interpretors are booked]

in God, I trust

    Quoting Interpretation:
Does your area have an email list...like on yahoo? Or is there a university in the area with an interpreting program?

If you call an interpreting agency to hire someone, tell them you're situation. Sometimes they will cut the rate considering the situation. Or maybe they can steer you in the direction of who might do it cheaply.

Also, check the RID website. Thats the registry of interpreters for the deaf. It's RID dotty org
There should be a listing of certified people in your area.

NETWORK...ask around in the school. Interpreting is all about networking and I'm sure there is someone out there who would love to do it either pro bono or at a small fee.
interpretors are easy.....thanks sweetie!

he needs supervision also so my daughter
gets apporpriate mommy care.
[his assigned workers [no asl]
would just transport him home to tv]

in God, I trust
