Can we just skip to November?

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks... Please no happy birthdays!!! Birthdays depress me greatly and I'd rather just get through the day like any other day without all the garbage.

I like to celebrate other people's birthdays IF they like to celebrate them but if a friend says I don't like my birthday then I will leave them be. I hope my friends will respect me in the same way.

Every year it seems I offend someone who is well meaning and wants to whoop it up because I do not enjoy my birthday at all. I hate it! Even talking about it now is getting me depressed. There are always some people who just can't understand this concept and that's okay except they always want to win me over to the wonderous celebration of more gray hair, sagging body parts, wrinkles and all that jazz. Whooop De Doodle!

I am not asking for anyone to change me... just accept me as I am and look at the money and effort you save because I don't want anything.

However, my is up to something. I know he is planning something. He means well but I am so dreading this. I sooooo do not want to come home from a really long day at work and have to be nice to a bunch of people at my house. I don't know what would be worse... if he invites all my friends or all of his!

Can we just skip to November now?

Well we can't skip December because Marilyn is having too good of a time in the present. So let's just keep October but we don't have to mention the "B" word to me this month, and to you next month and to Eli the following month!

God bless you Cathy! You're such a hoot!

I have been protesting birthdays since I was 15. I could already see where all these yearly events were heading and I knew I didn't want to go there! My mom was bemoaning her age last year and I reminded her of my 15th. She remembered the day because I sat in the kitchen crying. Finally at 73 she understood why.

At 24 I started counting backwards. Now when people ask my age I tell them I am ageless.

Yep. I don't like being the center of attention for my birthday, for other's that's just fine, I'm there; but I have very young nephews and niece, who love me and look forward to giving me a surprise bash, just them and me. I got to love that, cuz they're so sweet. Otherwise, I don't like my birthday celebrated with parties, or singing the traditional birthday song, but someone can just acknowledge my birthday or send me a happy wish, that's just fine. No big thing though!!!

If I am going to be the center of attention, I would hope it would be for something noteworthy and noble, not merely because I passed thru the birth canal. Now my mom should get a medal and a party on my birthday because she was in labor for something like 19 hours!

Ma REAL birthday is in November - but as ya know us Queens have 2.. so I have a pamper day when I feel like it.. when its MY treat and not just cos I have to.. its a well good spontaneous day.. Last time I went with a friend to a Health spa and stayed in Jaccuzzi and sauna and pool all day.. then had massages from head to toe..

Hope ya get to do something like that for you.. whether its your birthday or not..

'course you know Corrie, we could always celebrate our 'new life' birthdays! I made Jesus Lord of my life, officially on 28th june '94 and my baptism date was 16th dec '97, so I could be nearly 10 or just turned 14! They were the official dates, first heard God's voice xmas '80, first visit from Jesus '89, so I guess we can choose eh! My nanna invited me to her 4th 21st b'day, sadly she died just short of it! Now does that make any sense? I hope I havent confused you!!!Have a great weekend!

My birthday drives me absolutely crazy. I am always forced to do something I don't want to do and why? I'd rather just be left alone.

Now that spa thingy you mentioned. Oh I could do that!! I am very much a jacuzzi kinda girl. I think a Treat Yourself good day is always welcomed. I do wish I could afford something that luxurious.

I have been watching the travel channel and oh man, the spas on some of the places they go. Man, I would love it!

Thanks for your comments Fraz. I am glad I am not alone.

Why don't we all celebrate our birthday now, get the unpleasantrys over and done with and just skip to this time next year and then we can do it all over again and again and again, pretty soon we will have accumulated 20 years to our current age in 20 days and we will be old enough to go through our second childhood and we will be looking forward to birthdays again . .
Or maybe i should go away . . head hangs down . .

I hate the thought of my birthday too.
Now when does all this start?...
gray hair, sagging body parts, wrinkles and all that jazz.

Seeing Stevie get Whacked kinda made my day, a brave man indeed, thanks man.
I was sick with the flu on my b-day. Turned off the phone for 2 days. My mom called and was so upset I did not answer or call her back, sheesh!

Gosh!!!
at this rate,i might get whacked too... my birthday's 15th November and i don't mind us skipping to November... brings it closer!!! i LLLLLOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEE celebrating my birthday and it wouldn't be fair to skip all the way to December or worse, next year!!! that would mean i'd have to wait AGES again for it to reach!
let's just skip to 15th.. mid November, and after that, skip again to whenever!!!

Am richly blessed, highly favoured and deeply loved of God

Then we need to mark Nov 15th on the calender. My Baby Sister's is the 21st. I don't know if she is still celebrating them or not anymore. Thanks for stopping by and God bless you!

Because Birthdays make me depressed, whacked out and totally crazy. Imagine a woman in her 40s with hormonal mood swings in the most difficult and moody way... Now times that by 100 and that's how bad my birthdays are... so if we just go on with life like regular, it's no big deal and I can get thru the day like any other day.

Perhaps it would be easier to accept for those who were born on February 29.?

Maybe that's my problem, I should have been a leap year baby!! Have one birthday every four years. That would rock!! LOL

Well my friends, I'll be 61 on January 18th and I'm just proud to be here. When you consider the alternative.........birthdays ain't so bad. Besides, 61 ain't old......if'n you're a tree.

Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!

Your birthday is a day after my mom's. She'll be 64 and like you, looks great!

Well it keeps the office mates from taking you to lunch where they sing a cheesy song to you and wipe whipped cream on your nose.
