Where's the Beef? I read two different stories online today dealing with fake meat. One is a new vegan meat substitute that supposedly tastes like real meat and the other is test tube meat which is still years away from being fully developed. I can't imagine myself eating either! In fact, I am pretty sure that if you don't eat red meat here in Texas, the cattleman's association comes to your house and beats you until you look like a very rare piece of meat. Or maybe that's the beef association! I am pretty much one of those meat & potatoes girls who just wants you to slice off the tail and get it to stop mooing before the steak is placed on my plate. Now, I know there are those who are more than happy to tell me about all the health dangers of red meat. I have also heard about how livestock production is depleting our resources but there are even arguments within the scientific community that even test tube meat could harm the environment so I am not going to go on about that. Personally, I don't think the consumption of red meat is all that bad. Now green meat... that'll kill ya!

That sounds so good and you are doing it very economically as well. I have become a coupon queen in the past year or so. If I lived closer, I'd take you up on the offer and bring a salad. (I have an entire shelf of free salad dressing right now! Thank you Jesus for coupons!)I figure the more I save on other stuff, the more money I have for meat!! Hey Frazzie - Nice to see you are still stirring up trouble round here. It keeps people on their toes! Can you believe how much he wanted for that goop! If you find someone willing to pay that kinda money for test tube meat, quick sell them some beachfront property in Arizona or ask them if they will adopt us both. Obviously they have no clue what to spend their money on!

Chris, I think I would listen to that station more often!! LOL It's funny how you can read two different studies on the same thing and yet both will end up with quite opposite results. One day red meat is bad and the next week, white meat is bad. Personally, if you drop your steak on the floor, that's bad! If you haven't mopped your floor in ages, then that's really bad... and sad! I think sunshine helps with depression! Of course I have to take certain precautions because I burn faster than a newborn but with some sunscreen and proper hydration, I am good to go!!!

Exactly how does a steak feel? LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist! Yep, I don't think there is enough steak sauce in world to tempt me over to the dark side of fake steak!
