Ahhh the things you see in traffic through suburbia

Yesterday it took me two long hours to get to work. It was like I was in the wrong line at the supermarket again. Every roadway I took there seemed to be some sort of accident that slowed me down.

At one particular busy intersection smack dab in suburbia, about two blocks from a major freeway, I was caught in a long line of traffic behind a tanker truck as I waited for a six car pile up on the feeder road to clear.

It was seven lanes of bumper to bumper traffic on a road lined with fast food restaurants, shops and a hospital.

To my right was a ditch with a concrete storm piece going under the roadway.

To my surprise I saw a family of beavers, two adults with a little one, playing in the water. Yes, beavers in suburbia!

I have never seen beavers in Texas before so it was a treat. The people behind me were using their cellphone to take pictures.

It's amazing the things you see in traffic when you are just sitting there waiting and not too busy yelling at the drivers ahead of you for making you late to work. I think it was well worth the wait.

Have a great day y'all and if you are like me and have to sit in traffic, take in the sights because you never know what God might want to show you out there. God bless y'all!

That's great Corrie, yesterday we went to see a friends lil puppies and they reminded me of lil otters, so docile and roly poly, one gentle touch and over they'd go, lying on their backs with their lil paws tucked up, they were shitzu maltese and three were black with lil bits of white under their chin and two were different shades of brown and cream, I went to bed thinking about them. What is it about puppies that always makes you want them?

I promise, I know it sounds far fetched but there were actually beavers playing in the ditch yesterday next to that storm drain! We have lots of deer, possums, raccoons and assorted varmits but I had never seen beavers before. But hey, I don't have to convince you. Either you believe me or you don't. My Daddy in heaven knows the truth. Although I sure wish I had a camera with me and I don't own a cellphone. I would have loved to have be able to shoot a pic of them.

Perhap it is that they are so darn cute and enthusiastically cuddly that you don't think about them chewing up your good shoes or leaving little presents for you to step into when you get out of bed in the morning. LOL

They sure seemed cute from the driver's side of my car. I don't know how cute they are when approached. Baby raccoons are cute too but big raccoons can sure be vicious!!

There is an old Irish proverb that says, "There are two sides to every story and 12 versions of every song."

But it really doesn't matter what any of us believe because we have a God who is so much bigger than anyone or anything in this world today. He knows all and sees all. And I am confident that just as He has continued to watche over a fool like me, He is watching over others as well.

I am praying for both Ken and Mia for all of God's blessings of love, happiness, provision, safety, hope and a whole lot more.

I'd probably never make it to work if I drove there. I would be on the side of the road shooting pictures all day long!! You are blessed with some awesome views of God's creations as opposed to man's concrete and asphalt ones.

Getting raccoons out of your home can be dangerous and don't be messing with coyotes either!! In Arizona, we used to have Javelinas... They could be mean but they didn't have very good eyesight. However, their sense of smell was very good. You had to be real careful barbecuing at night! They would creep me out!
