Dontcha Just Hate It When...

Dontcha just hate it when God places people on your heart to pray for His will to be done in their lives and you really don't like the people?

It's much much easier to love the loveable!

But yet we are called to pray for all sorts of people and some of them are not good people at all.

Of course, God was also patient with me. He never gave up. I wonder if He had people praying for me before I came to know Him.

So even though I do not like praying for some people, I am so very blessed that God continues to work on me and my heart. There were times when I wasn't so good either!!

So I will be obedient and if I am supposed to pray for someone like Charles Manson or Osama Bin Laden. I will pray that His will be done in all things. Only God can soften a heart. And salvation can only come from Him!

Easy to say, tougher to do. Specially when that someone is someone you know personally and really really really really don't like, and feel guilty because "Good Christians love everyone"

GBY, hang in there, I know you can do it! Because I know God has your heart.

Yep, sure do!! God laid on my heart to pray for my ex, that he'd get right with Him, and guess what? According to my ex, he has!! Don't ya just hate it when that happens??!? God actually answered my prayer affirmatively!!

Seriously, I am glad that apparently he's seeking. Just wish it could have happened earlier like when we were still together! But I know He has a plan and purpose. Part of it is taking care of my niece (and of course my son) as I am, but still seeking beyond that.

Truly, next time I come down that way we've GOT to meet!!

GBY!!

Oh girlfriend, I know what you mean. God's had me pray for Saddam Hussein before. Although he certainly needed it, he's the last one I'd thought to pray for.

Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!

I scoff my feet a bit but then I do what my Daddy asks of me because He certainly gave me more than my share of second chances. And continues to do so!! Praise God!

God bless you and thank you for your comments. It's nice to know I am not alone!

Spot On Pete!!

We certainly have some big shoes to fill as we continue to look at Jesus as our example and Savior. His love is indescribable for words! I am awestruck!

God bless you Pete!

When God was first restoring me and beginning the healing process, I recall praying for my ex was one of the hardest things I have ever done or will ever do. It's a story within itself.

Cathy, just keep driving south girl. Come on down! Hopefully you will come to the northside on a weekend. We can do Starbucks!! There is one just down the street from me! (Would I move anywhere that didn't have a Starbucks?) LOL

God bless you!!

I think sometimes its a matter of obedience to God. I tend to grumble to God about it a few minutes...

"Oh God, not him. I don't want to pray for him. He's a lost cause."

Then God reminds me that the same could have been said of me at times in my life. But yet, He saved me.

And He's right...

He has a much bigger plan and a much bigger view than I. I trust Him fully. He holds my heart in His hand.

So as He asks, so I shall do.

Thank God I have knee pads! LOL

I have found that by praying for those who have done hurtful things to me, brings my relationship closer to Jesus and that's what matters to me the most. Good post Corrie. GBYAS!

May God Bless You in ABUNDANCE

Most recently for me it was the lady kitty corner from me at the hospital...musta been about half way through my 5 day stay that I started praying for her and changing my attitude. She was one of these cantankerous, gossipy, hypochondriac women. But she was a lonely old woman. Amazing how different I felt once I started praying for her.

It's sorta funny how we start to pray for God to work on someone else that we feel really needs Him and instead He works on us! LOL God bless you and I hope that woman wasn't trying to steal your hospital jello! LOL
