Would you like to support this program? And pray for these women as well? My friend send this to me from Fresno California: On May 23rd, I am going into Valley State Prison for Women with the Kairos Prison Ministry team to bring the love of God to 42 inmates. These inmates will be chosen by the prison chaplain to participate in a 4 day retreat. There will be talks, table discussions and more. Our job is to listen and love the inmates. A special treat for them is to receive a bag of letters from the team and others who would like to help. The goal is for each woman to receive at least 84 letters. I am asking you to help me gather as many letters as I can by handwriting notes as many as you are able. Stickers or any glued thing cannot be accepted, but stamped designs are ok. Below is a sample of a letter. Please put the letter, note in an unsealed envelope. Dear of God, (One whom God loves, Friend...)I am so glad you have the opportunity to attend this retreat. I have been on retreats similar to this and they have contributed to my spiritual health and awareness of God. I will be praying for you as you attend, that you will be open to God and to the others you are meeting and eating, singing, praying and learning with. I also pray that you will come to know God in a new way and that you will receive the good gifts He has for you. In Him, Name Also would you consider signing up for a day to pray, at any time during that day? The days are May 23, 24,25, and 26. The team leaders are asking for your e-mail address or snail mail address so that they may send you the names of the women when they get them so you may pray for them by name. I am not sure how to do it by mail, I hope that written e-mails are Ok also. I think that you can write your notes here and I can cut and past them and mail them to my friend. You can also pray for this women and for the team. I got this note from my friend, so you can send your letters to First Baptist Church of Fresno 1400 E. Saginaw Fresno, Ca 93704. "Anna that would be wonderful! Send it to FFB but put attn: Ilene Luna on the envelope so they know to give it to me. Also, I would like the name of those who are going to be praying and on which days so they can go on the poster for the women to see how many people and where they are praying from What a fabulous blessing for them! This must be something that is being done throughout the world, because i am on a prayer list here in Australia...However, now I can pray for this work in other countries also.
