What time is it?? It's time to BE! WOW! What is up with the whole world lately? God only knows. People who think that they are all safe and comfy are in for a rude awakening. To be awakened..you only have to look as far as your closest gas station, or watch the evening news. To think that because we are christian and therefore won't be touched with all that's going on in the world is rediculous. Aren't we called to be salt to a tastless world..and light to the darkest places. I've heard so many christians complaining...and i'm guilty myself...complaining about the price of gas or the way the government is working right now or complaining about the loud music the neghbor is playing at the wee hours of the morning. But what are we doing?? What time is it?? Is it really to time to join ranks with all the people in the world who complain and sit. Or is it time to join the ranks of the saints that pray..and work. What i mean is..i've got a new revelation in my life recently. I've been a complainer...and it's revelation to me that it's not the time for that now. Now is the time for prayer and fellowship with other christians..Now is the time to witness to your neighbors (who are family you just haven't met yet). Now is the time to get out there and DO something for God; if its joining a group of fellow beleivers for prayer..or starting a relationship with a neighbor..there is always work to be done. How many of us have spent time and money to send aid to foreign countries..while we don't have the compassion to tell those around us that we care. Well, that won't be me anymore. I'm not going to sit by and complain my life away...and with it all the chances i've had to witness or just share His love with someone that is now in my life. Of course there is always balance! I'm not saying that anyone should not support what they beleive in..i'm saying that we need to really see what opportunites that Jesus has given us in everyday normal life. For this you don't have to be wealthy...or extreemly talented...just saying a kind hello and how are you to someone that you would've ignored before...can be the start to something great in God. Making time for what's important to God has got to be a priorty in this time..this season. With everything that is going on nowdays...we really need to take every oportunity to see things His way and to get the good news out. The good news isn't just about Jesus being savior..it's about saying .."I love you too" (with His love of course) My revelation is to BE who i am in God..no matter where i am or what i'm doing. At the store..at the mall...at work...at play..at church...at home... no matter where i am God has a plan for what i am doing there..if we just listen..He can lead us everyday. Now is the time to BE |
