Nigerian Scammers

As you probably know there are a lot of people on this site that are not who they seem.

I had an email from a lady allegedly in the US. Her name is 'shalalove' I sent her a hello and it turns out she is in Nigeria and needs $1000.00 USD for an operation, not for her but for her friend.

I consider myself to be the helpful type. Whats a thousand dollars for a life saving operation after all? Also I must say she certainly appears to be a stunning looking christian lady. It turns out that her real name is Mary Rose. By her pictures I my first impression was she was involved in some sort of 'adult' industry. She said she is a top American model who is in Nigeria on assignment.

It turns out that I could get the money to her in Nigeria through Western Union. I was so happy that I could do some thing nice for Marys friend. I told her to go down to the Western Union Office straight away and wait as I would be sending the money to her immeadiatly. She gave me the following mailing address Dayo Talabi, 10 Kayode St Lagos Nigeria 23401. (I guess 'Dayo' is a friend of Marys.)

Woops I just remembered, I forgot to tell Mary its Sunday here. That means the post office won't be open. I could email her and tell her but I accidently wiped her email address and blocked her some how! Oh dear. I hope she won't be waiting there long. If you can help Mary with her friends operation perhaps you can send her some money via the above address

There are so many of these kind of letters going around. Unfortunately some people fall into them, and truly send the money or get involved into sort of businesses and loose all. Devil goes around roaring and looking whom to swallow.

Yes I get very angry when I hear about older and usually poor people getting ripped off. In my job I see all sorts of scams and con men. I listen to all their stories, them all seem to be the victims.

We can only hope and pray that 'Dayo' in Nigeria develops a conscience, or perhaps ends up in prison. (I'm sure a Nigerian prison is not as good as a western one)

THANKS FOR THE POST! Everybody should know about this because there are really many scammers in the internet (in different site)... Actually I become also a victim of the scammers with a good looking picture. In fact, at first I have noticed already that he is not real but still I am just being good to him. He said that he is an international business man and wants to put a business here and even wants to marry me and be his wife and a mother to his 8 year old son. But one day he asked me a favor if I can lend him money for awhile for his sister badly needed for an operation ('coz that time according to him he has no COH). So the more I doubt him because for an international business will run out of money? So what I did, I told him that I really want to help him but I have also no COH. And he insisted me. So I kept on interviewing him until he was able to admit that he is a scammer and he is only doing this because he needs money for his foods/shelter. So I started to evangelize him until I was able to convince him to stop doing this things, stop victimize innocent people and make him to have fear in God. Now he even grateful to me that I helped him realize to stop this kind of work and he even asking me to forgive him and help him pray that he will totally change. I HOPE HE IS SINCERE...
