On the road to Emmaus
Jesus met His disciples
About seven miles from Jerusalem.
They were talking about things,
That had just happened.

Suddenly He did ask them:
"Where are you guys going?
What are the things, that you are discussing?"
They were surprised
and they replayed:
"Are you the only one
Who does not know
What has been going on?"

They did not see, that it was He
Their Lord, that they
were talking to. Because their
Minds were down and sorrow.
Worrying for tomorrow.

What about you today?
Are you also on your way
down to Emmaus?
Don't you see, He is there,
Just next to you asking:
"How are you?
What is that thing
You want me to do?"

 In one summer afternoon I was leaving to choir practise and suddenly word Emmaus came to my mind. I remembered how desibles were sad, when they thought they master had died. I had one good friend and he had some difficoulties. I knew he comes to the same practise with me and I felt for his trouble. I wanted to comfort and encourage him somehow, that's why I wrote this one, I wrote it for him.
