we were told to expect trials, and protection Two weeks ago a gas line blew up the road just a quarter mile from my house. Just the gas escaping from the underground pipe sounded like a freight train derailing at high speed. There's a train track near by, so I thought it really was a train derailing and heading for my house. It was so loud, I was terrified and trying to grab dogs, throw them in the vehicle, and get away. I was carrying a puppy across the porch when a huge fireball exploded twice as tall as the trees. The whole western sky lit up orange and blood red. I was shaking so hard I could barely stand, but I finally got the last in the truck and took off in the opposite direction. I was so scared I didn't even close the front door of the house. I wondered if it was the end of the world, but some small part of my brain remembered that it did not match up with the end time descriptions in Revelation. Later I found out that a truck had caused the gas cloud to explode. There was a man and his in the truck. They smelled the gas and got out and were running away when it exploded. The girl only had some burns on her leg and was out of the hospital the next day. The dad had burns on his back, but he is recovering amazingly fast. He was released from the hospital after only 4 days. I am sure God was protecting and preserving us from worse disaster. If the truck hadn't set off the gas when it did, that gas could have kept expanding until it reached my neighbor's house, then blown up. Then the explosion and fire would have been much, much worse. As it was, the firemen were able to put out the fire before it got any houses and before it hit the dry grass in my pasture. Glory be to God, we are all home safe, all the pets and horses are safe, and all our homes are intact! Even the road was repaired before the end of the week. |
