Reading The Shack

Hello,
Ok, after looking at other's blogs and listening to others about the book "The Shack", I finally made it to the bookstore and purchased it...Mind you, it was hard to get into at first..i have , the first couple chapters are very difficult...i am only 1/2 way through so don't blow it, but wanted to know opinions about it from others...Is it that life changing? Is there this fine line between truth and fiction.? So far I find myself praying to understand alot of this book, this authors fictional yet not so fictional veiw of the "Trinity", and the infamous question"Why"....Looking forward to hearing from you, May God's Face Always Shine Upon You,
Lou

I'm waiting till this Fall to read it. I want to curl up on a cool/cold night to read it. I heard it was good, it seems you either love it or hate it.

It's awesome! I loved it. Took me about half way into it to really get it, but I thought it was amazing. Yeah, I would like to read it again and take notes too.

I really liked it too. Just be aware as you read it I don't believe it's actually scriptural in some places. NJBELIEVER posted a blog about it if you want to search and read what he said.

Greetings,
Never heard of it, but hey, my mind is on a real mansion with rooms to spare, and not a fictional shack.... I am always leary about modern works, and any leaven they may contain...

Okay, I finished reading the Shack and WOW, what a great read...Alot is not scripture but as with any christian book I always ask the Holy Spirit to guide me and my mind as I read anything....I do believe I will read it once again and take notes. Some pretty valid conversations in there...An excellent book..We probably know someone just like the character in this book...Give it a read, God bless you, Lou
