Prayer Changes Things!

Praise God...I heard from the friend who disappeared. He had one of those 3-day migraine headaches like I had over the weekend...that was not fun for me...especially when I was concerned about his 'disappearance' and silence. I was able to put him in God's faithful hands, but it took prayer to do it.

Don't you think we're blessed when God causes us to HAVE to pray sometimes so we'll get stronger in prayer and faith IN our prayers...in Him?

Thank you all so much for helping me pray about my friend. HUGS to all.

Love,
Karen

Honey, you're right.

But the plural of "pray" is "praise" (prays).

I call it "the wonderful pray plural".

We should praise God TOO MUCH instead of pettioning Him TOO MUCH!

That's a nice way to put it, and I agree with you about praising God, as you put it TOO MUCH. I really don't think that's possible though...He deserves so much more praise than we can ever give Him. Agree?

However, I believe that God delights in us doing both, sister.

We live in a hard world...we need Him to lighten the burdens of life from off our shoulders...that takes prayer...putting our petition before God.

Though we'd like to be in His presence all of the time, we're definitely not as sure as He is about what He's accomplishing in our lives...that brings about prayer...when we're NOT sure.

I feel God's smile when I pray about even the most minute things. I feel His loving presence from His smile, and that in turn makes me break out in joyous praise.

I am NOT ashamed of my 'petitioning' to God, and I DON'T THINK that He thinks I petition too much.

And lastly sister, the Bible tells me to 'pray' without ceasing. That means that my prayers should be never ending.

I haven't found a way to do what that verse says WITHOUT praying...petitioning...talking to...God about everything.

Have YOU?

Rejoice with me, because Prayer DOES Change Things...it's scriptural.
