No criticism here. Several times I saw myself in your comments. I was married to a man that abused me for almost 7 years of my life. He abused me, mentally , physically, sexually, verbally and emotionally. He broke my bones....but never my spirit. I have no idea who's post upset you, if it was flagrant then go for it. Say what must be said. Take the courses that make you feel safe. I have my own coping mechanisms in place as well. To this day when I get to stressed or people are yelling at each other, if you touch me...even just to lay a hand on my shoulder to calm me, I will flinch. Thats not a natural response but after being thrown backwards from the cab of a freight liner to the pavement below by a man that took vows to love and honor me, all for spilling a soda, it became natural. Bottom line all I am going to say is I let it eat me alive for a long time. I did not trust men other than my brother (my father was dead by then) But in my distrust I shut out some wonderful men. Its a risk to let your guard down and allow them close enough to find out if they are a threat, but it can be one of the best things you will ever do also. My heart goes out to you, please know I am here if you ever need a friend. Roberta
