Wasted Warfare Believers should never fight or argue with each other. We live in a world that gives us enough trouble, and satan is all too quick to give us grief without our helping his efforts. We should put aside our differences and rely on each other for strength and comfort. Be on your guard and stay awake. Your enemy, the devil, is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to fine someone to attack. But you must resist the devil and stay strong in your faith. You know that all over the world the Lord's followers are suffering just as you are. But God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. God bless ![]() ![]() faith ![]() |

Amen- We as brethren are to bind together not cause division, or adhere to the devil's division of the Body of Christ. I have friends and relatives with many different views. I can agree to disagree with anyone, and I will stand on that which I know to be true. -But in a loving manner. We are to be "Christ-like". This is not to turn a blind eye to sin, because He didn't- He addressed it. Yet for those such as Mary Magdeline, etc.- He addressed it and still offered of Himself and His forgiveness and love. Now to the Pharisees and those that would make a profit inside the temple- He seemed much more stern in His words and in His actions. & I do not often struggle with critical spirit, which I am thankful for- but if I get upset- it is more the backbiting- that I see occasionally between folks who supposedly love God & are serving Him. The unsaved, unchurched look upon this and it is no wonder alol they see is hypocrysy sometimes! And those that are always mournful and complacent . . . !?!?!? WHAT KIND OF A GOD DO WE PORTRAY TO THE WORLD THAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO GO INTO AND MAKE DISCIPLES?!?!? & Meanwhile were so wrapped up in whatever is going on in our own lives that we cannot seem to "find time" to effectively DO what we are here to do. Are we to be concerned over anything of our life? Is it not a mere breath here and gone? Are we not supposed to make God our focus first and foremost and "truly believe" which is to, by the way, ACT ON?!?! That means our jobs, our kids, our houses, our bills etc. - are His. & All of that should be secondary to the call He calls us all to. People don't like it when you start talking like this. Some don't anyway. DXo I think He wants us to be good stewards with ALL HE gives us----- like our children, our homes, our jobs etc.? YES- Of course. -But should all of that or any of that be first and foremost in our lives-? No. He has to be first. What He asks of us has to be first. & If people get "saved" just so they can ride this life out- without fervently walking where God leads- and doing HIS work- thinking I'm okay. I got God about two years ago. I go to church twice a month (or whatever) - I question if they were really ever saved at all. & I question if they won't be some of those that will be standing before Him and He will say "Go away, I never knew you". I don't know- & I apologize- had no idea where all that came from. But yes- be on guard and stay awake. We are to be of one body. Does a finger not need the hand, etc.? We waste a lot of time when we let the enemy in enough to start causing division. Churches split right down the middle. People get into resentment. People often fall out all together. You do a good work here. imavessel

Look, I can agree with a lot of what you say, but what do you do about the latter part of Mt7vs15 on? And what about the book of Jude where we are told to "earnestly contend for the faith" because of false men who creep into the church? Not to mention the many places others in the word warn about false doctrine/teaching/preaching etc. The fact is that we, as the body of Christ...irregardless of denomination or lack thereof, or any other affiliation we may have, ARE supposed to bond together in love. The mark of the new covenant is Love...They (the world) shall know you by the love you have one for another... That, however doesn't excuse us from holding sound biblical standards for who we allow to teach/preach/exhort or influence others in our churches. The fact is, the enemy uses "wolves in sheep's clothing" to bring a lot of devastation to the body of Christ. Why?, because we allow it. The church cannot allow the world to dictate how we should behave. Neither can the church continue to allow false doctrine to flourish, nor those who would introduce it. Really, the word is pretty clear on the subject... Love should truly rule all we do...correction and admonition are a part of that. Sometimes contention is too...you are showing love for the weak among the flock when you contend with the wolves. Well, there's my .02 Thanks for reading...
