Friends And What They Mean To Me I ONLY HAVE A FEW FRIENDS AND I KNOW THAT THE LORD SENT THEM TO ME. THE FRIENDS I HAD BEFORE I KNEW THAT THE LORD DIDNT'T SEND THEM TO ME AND EVERYTHING WAS GOING WRONG, AND I HAD TO LEAVE THEM ALONE BECAUSE THEY WERENT SENT FROM God.A FRIEND TO ME IS SOMEONE WHO IS THERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU ARE DOWN AND NEED A SHOULDER TO CRY ON, SOME ONE THAT WILL PRAY WITH YOU AND TELL YOU EVERYTHING WILL BE OK JUST STAND FIRM IN WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN.AND GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH. WE HAVE TO BE SEPARATED FROM FRIENDS THAT IS DOING WRONG,AND DON'T BELIEVE IN OUR LORD JESUS.

Hi, welcome to blogland here. I am so sorry you have been hurt by people. We are all human. The enemy of our souls, He comes to steal, kill and destroy. I bet you are a sensitive person like I am, aren't you?  Us sensitive types, we tend to get hurt more than others. Wear our heart on our sleeves. Anyway, I pray that the Lord will heal your broken heart and bring many Godly people into your life. Here is a good place to find some. right here. Sometimes the Lord allows the other people into our lives for us to tell them about Jesus and give our testimony and maybe help them some how, but other times we must do it from a distance. Wisdom is needed. 2 Timothy talks about how in these last days, people will be. Also, that the love of many shall grow cold. I hope that you will not give up on the Lord, be patient...these are the times we can draw closer to Him......He is the friend who sticks by closer than any brother or any sister. GBU....

I found out that many of my friendships that were made prior to me committing my life and will to God turned away from me. They were no longer interested in me because of the changes God was making in my life. I do think we are to be an example to everyone - including "old" friends as well as new ones. I am of the opinion that everyone put in my path is put there for a reason. Moreso to teach me about who I am than about them. Each and every person set before us is an opportunity to show the love of Christ. If the friends of ours decide to not walk God's way then I believe it is best to walk away from the friendship. They are involved in worldly things and their choices are not Christlike. And involvement with them can be a distraction in our Christian walk. Separating ourselves from the world is God's mandate to us. We live in the world, but we are not like the world. Perhaps we can draw them towards Christ through our example - but choosing the join them in their worldly ways spoils our witness.
