Why I'm leaving Big Church I've been very busy lately trying to make some money doing handyman work prior to my upcoming surgery on my rotator cuff. But I have been seriously thinking of leaving this site for other reasons than that. Why? Well for one thing I am not meeting anyone on this site. I really have not "connected" with anyone-- for better or worse, richer or poorer. Another thing... well the ideological differences here are enormous. It's truly amazing how I have lasted this long as it is. I am poles apart from the vast majority of people on this site and my blog demonstrably shows that. AMerica is a land of war preparation. It is armed to the teeth and depends on conflict for its very survival. The real fact is that America has a huge arms manufacturing sector in its economy and desperately needs to keep this going as jobs are dependent on it--- likewise the Pentagon. I find it so sad. SImilarly the small arms are also a big seller around the world and hardly anyone is opposed to this. So many drive by shootings in our own country and it is now taken for granted that people own guns. Where on earth is this world headed with so much weaponry" It scares the daylights out of me. THe one thing that has kept me here are all the beautiful women---- and yes they certainly are beautiful. I dare not mention names for sure but you all know who you are you gorgeous women! I love you all....... too bad I can't have you all! Lol. SO pray for me on July 8th as I will need it. I never did lose the weight and my arms are not good with the arthritis. I need someone to care for me as I will be months in rehabilitation. I will need your prayer on this one as I live out in the country and it is difficult driving with one arm etc. I love you all. You are wonderful people. I do miss you but believe me I would love to see a HUGE CHANGE In America. Catch you all later Hugs to all! God bless AMerica |

Oh my God...string me up by my ditzy heels....I mistook you for another guy!!! Good grief...jobs out out making guns????...what kind of person are you? Then you wonder why there are drive by shooting in your country...DUH!!!! America needs to lay down it war mongering weapons...hope the democrat's get in...egads...making money out of killing people...creating jobs by this?? And you right wingnuts think the liberals are bad because they condone killing babies...you guys do the same thing in a different way...What hypocrisy. Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

Chris.....you are right on the money with American policy. Christians in that country are asleep and so ignorant of the truth of what is going on. All the hype about fearing communism when the capitalist fascists are controlling them. I am not in agreement with you theologically but you have an outsider perspective when it comes to politics. These American Christians need to hear some of these things, for their own good. We are to LOVE GOD first and foremost.  Isaiah 42:8 " I am the Lord; that is my name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

I do read your blog even though I often don't respond. Sorry to hear you are leaving...but I know what you mean about not finding anyone romantically. I guess I come back because I have made some good friends and the diversity here stimulates my thinking and keeps me on my toes...which for me, is not a bad thing. God bless...

know whereof you speak. I do believe there are more of us uncomfortable with the present empirialist mindset in the U.S., but most are afraid to speak out. What we seem to have at times is essentially a tyranny by propaganda. Political and religious. We have a military presence in 2/3 of the countries on this planet. Eisenhower's speech upon leaving the presidency in 1960 spoke to the GREATEST danger of our country being the military industrial complex taking over the running of our government. It is the largest sector of the economy. God bless!

I am sorry to say that I had never checked out your blog. You seem to be very intelligent and I'm sure your wisdom will be missed. I can relate to not finding any connections on Big Church.... I haven't either. I will be praying for you.
