Berlusconi in Italy treats women with disdain

The Italian Prime Minister has quite the attitude towards women in his country. Recently he said that the Spanish cabinet had too many women in it! He claims that women can do their work for the party by making cakes and staying home to care for the .

Women in Italy have it bad enough with their men being so macho and sexist. But now the Prime Minister seems to think he only reflects society's attitude towards the women. What on earth is going on?

Perhaps the Catholic Church might have something to do with this.... perhaps not. But certainly I don't see the Vatican allowing for the ordination of women all too soon. Mind you it's it's the congregations of sisters that are leading much of the change occuring in the Catholic Church these days, not the clergy.
