 I think both quotes are accurate. As far as the second goes, the keyboard connects us in ways that the pen never could--witness the fact that we're now aware of each other's existence though separated by thousands of miles. As someone who does a lot of writing, I choose the keyboard because it's more practical. But when I write songs or poetry, I still use a pen. Maybe that's because those 2 forms of expression are more personal for me, and a pen will always be more personal than a keyboard.
