childern walk on toes when little,walk on heart when grown{advice needed} this day in time we are raising different breed childern.i thought i had taught my childern to be respectable of other but my who is 36 years old,doesn't respect me or my finances when i give here my debit card to go to lowes to pick up nails it ends up cost me more than what she goes for.you could say that she steals from me with telling me,also comes into my home and throws things away.i would never do this to my mom,i respect her too much.everytime i start to talk to my she gets on defensive.how can i talk to her about this because it really bothers me.would appericate any advice |

I agree. You need to set boundaries. Don't give her your debit card. Explain to her what you expect as her mother. If you can't get your point across in conversation try writing her a letter. Make it a love letter. GBY Pat

If she hasnt got the picture at age 36 she is heading for trouble!! I would definitely not be giving her the debit card and I would definitely be sitting down and having a serious heart to heart. She isnt a child so you dont really need to mince words....she needs to learn the R words.....Respect and responsibility! Good luck! thank you everyone for advice.i am praying that god will direct me as to how to handle this matter.as for giving her my debit card i didn't have cash,had only had three hours sleep from working nightshift.so again i say thank you
