He came, He died, He rose again....

"Jesus was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."(Rev 13:8 )

"... Behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Joseph, of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a , and you shall call his name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins" So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: Behold, the virgin shall be with , and bear
a , and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us" (Matthew 1:20-23)

"...And he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!" But they cried out, "Away with him, away with him. Curcify Him! Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar!" Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led him away. And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified him .... " (John 19:14-18 )

"Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved .... Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there and the handkercheif that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead." (John 1:1,2a, 6-9)

------------------------------------------------

God created the heavens and the earth however, from before the foundation of the world which we know, He purposed His Jesus to be the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

God knew in advance everything that would transpire in his creation. He created us with free choice; so that we can know what is right to do and have the ability to choose NOT to do it. Amazing!

Yet God wanted a people who would,of their own free will, choose to believe upon and accept His Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

God knew that Lucifer would betray Him and take 1/3 of all the angels with him to become Satan and his dark forces.

He knew that placing Adam and Eve in the garden, giving them every tree to eat from except ONE, would cause them to exercise this free gift called choice. He knew what choice they would make and the direction human beings would go.

He had a plan.

Jesus was born of a virgin so His Father would be God: without sin in any form, holy, divine. Mary was chosen by God with a blood line back to God himself. Jesus was fully human, yet fully God. His DNA was holy!

He was raised and taught the Word of God. Such wisdom he had as he sat with the teachers of the Law listening and asking them questions when he was 12 years old. (Luke 2:40-47)

Jesus knew His purpose. His moment of utter despair was in the Garden... "O my father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will but as you will" (Matthew 26:39)

He went to His death because of YOU and ME and our need for salvation, cleansing and deliverance.

He died and went to Hell and took the keys of death and hell... Satan crucified and innocent man...

Jesus rose again, appeared to many, accended to heaven where he is seated at the right hand of God above all principalities, powers, might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:20,21)

And God who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly placed in Christ Jesus... (Ephesians 4:4-6)

Jesus came, He died, and He rose again defeating the evil one and enabling us to receive freely of His grace by the shedding of His precious Blood. We have free choice to accept or deny His sacrifice for our sins.

What do you choose?

If satan had known what he was doing he never would have had Christ crucified. But God did because He always works from the ending to the beginning. Jesus was born to die. That was His whole purpose in life. That was what He meant when He said, "It is finished!" He had finished the work He came to do, the plan of salvation. I am His and He is mine. Thank You My Love, thank You. Thank You for the blood, Your mercy and Your grace. Amen \O/
Love in Christ,
Liz

Yes to God be the glory! I'm thankful He did drink His bitter cup and did not pass it by. He could have passed, but He is obedient to the Father and full of tender mercies. His life was not taken from Him, rather He gave up His up life freely so that we who believe on Him and His sacrifice on the cross could live eternally with Him and for Him. Praise God for the good things He has done.
