What Is This Thing Called Hope?
Hope. It is a marvelous, mysterious mood that comes into your personality. Suddenly your load is lifted, color returns to your skin, and your eyes get their sparkle back. What is it? It is a scientific experience of the presence of God operating in your personality.

God believes in you. You have had times when you were in despair and you got through it. Somebody or something came and encouraged you. Or you got a bright idea. Or things changed. Or you got lucky. Again and again your good luck was really your good Lord.

Hope is a mystery. When it happens in the personality, it can only be scientifically described as the presence of a God of love coming into your mind, your spirit, your body, your personality! This is God. This is hope!
