Which Fork in the Journey?

I continue to struggle with indecision. I wait to hear for direction from the Lord. As I sat at Service today, many Christians speak of "the Lord will put it on your heart", or "the Lord will lead you". But I do not get it. Does that make me an insincere Christian? I love the Lord with all my heart. I pray to the Heavenly Father for guidance. I read my Bible. I just don't get an answer.

How are these answers recieved? What is it a Christian feels, or senses?

What I do know is that I can no longer make decisions for myself because I make the wrong ones. I need to rely on the Lord's guidance. I just don't know how to recieve his guidance.

Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a is born,
Unto us a is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

I do identify with you. What do people sense? Not sure, I believe it is different for everyone and sometimes the guidance comes in different ways at different times.

Like you I've spent much of my life believing that I made the wrong choices, even though I spent time praying, sometimes fasting and seeking God for the direction. I've learned so much through all my experiences and in the end maybe they weren't so wrong. On the other hand, in hindsight, I can also see where even in prayer I had an answer already decided and managed to make God fit it. So when trying to make a decision we need to be brutally honest with ourselves about what we are willing to do or give up for God and what we are expecting!

I do know that until we make a choice nothing can happen.

Now I try to not have any ideas of what is the right way, the best choice, how I will hear God speaking to me etc. I've come to know Jesus enough to know that He has a good plan and that He is in control, all I have to do is submit. So there are times when I can't quote a verse that gave me direction, or a special dream or vision, sometimes now it's just a strong sense that one direction is right. My prayer then is this: Lord you know I love you and I want to serve you and be completely within your will. This is the way I believe is right and the way I will go. If it is not your will then I ask you to stop me in whatever way you will. Amen.

Don't let the fear of making another wrong choice stop you from making any choice.

Hope this helps - it is only my opinion based on the experiences I've had. Someone may come with something else - God works with us individually.

God bless you as you yearn to be within His will!

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
May the Lord make His face shine upon you
and be gracious to you,
May the Lord lift His countenance upon you
and give you much, much peace.

God Bless You, sister, keep up the good fight.

May the Lord bless you and keep you
