My apologies to all my friends

I have been distant this week because I have spent the whole week at my parents home. I have been sick, also with a nasty cold. My parents went on their annual vacation to visit their old army buddies from years past. It is something that they enjoy doing each year.

I was suppose to call several people, but I don't know what telephone plan my parents are on so I didn't want to run up a bill on them. I have had a very poor internet connection that may last 10 minutes a day and I have decieded that it wasn't all that important. After reading only a few posts, I began to wonder what happened to all of the positive uplifting posts that have been absent recently. Perhaps, next week will be better.

A box still needs to be mailed tomorrow and it will go out to a friend if it doesn't snow tomorrow.

Earlier in the week I got my parents waterfall running and it does look wonderful. Today I did a little gardening and pruning and the yard looks good for their return on Saturday.

My sister stopped by and did her little song and dance. I won't go into details, it is not necessary.

She did inform me that a friend of ours died and that was another shock. A mutual girlfriend who goes to our Church; her husband died today.

News like this just makes me know that our time hear on earth is not our time. When the good Lord calls, He calls us home. Who would have known that a healthy firechief would just die after a few words of I love you, honey and I am a little more tired tonight. His wife Lucy, tried to do CPR but it was too late. He was a healthy man and an active member of our Church. I will be in deep thought about this tonight. Perhaps, I can go see what I can do for her tomorrow even if it is to clean her house or cook for family.

Blessings to everyone reading this blog and thank you for your continued love and support as we all journey through life.

Oh honey, I'm sorry about your friend.
Death is just a heart beat away and no one is promised tomorrow.
Tell the ones you love that you love them today.

Lord, keep one hand on my shoulder and one hand over my mouth!

Sheri, I'm sorry about your friend...but I think your outlook is good.

I'm glad you got the waterfall running...I'd love to see it.

It's nice to know you're doing well...you seem generally peaceful.

Karen

You write such beautiful and uplifting words Sheri. Thank you for all your past visits and to my blog and your wonderful prayers. I pray for you at this hour and hope you are feeling somewhat better. May the Lord comfort the family of the fireman. So tragic a story and so much for us all to consider.
God bless you Sheri! Love to hear from you again!
